Facilities and Capacity
Bury Manor Barn offers a collection of stunning indoor and outdoor spaces, each providing a unique backdrop for your wedding day.
For outdoor ceremonies during the warmer months, couples can exchange vows in the amphitheatre, overlooking breathtaking views of the river and nearby castle. The walled garden is ideal for romantic photographs and quiet moments, while the surrounding woodland offers a natural, secluded setting for relaxed couple portraits.
The barn itself provides a beautiful and flexible space for your celebration. Designed to flow effortlessly throughout the day, it is divided into two areas:
The Inner Barn, an elegant space licensed for ceremonies, accommodates up to 120 guests
The Outer Barn can host up to 140 guests for wedding breakfasts and receptions
Guests can then return to the Inner Barn for dancing and evening celebrations, creating a seamless and sociable atmosphere.
For couples dreaming of a church ceremony, a historic church is located within walking distance of the barn. Humanist, civil and celebrant-led ceremonies can also be held on site.

The barn is fully equipped to host live bands and DJs and includes space for a dance floor, making it ideal for both relaxed and lively celebrations. While on-site accommodation is not available, the team is happy to recommend a range of nearby hotels and guesthouses for you and your guests.

The Perfect Wedding Venue
The most magical day
We especially loved getting married outside, with all of our guests sat in the amphitheatre. The views across the South Downs are stunning and our guests, a lot of whom had travelled internationally to celebrate with us, were extremely complimentary.

The perfect Sussex venue
The venue itself is beautiful and yet very functional too, with all the space you need to have an amazing wedding day.
We were particularly drawn to BMB due to St John’s church being practically on-site, as we wanted a church wedding but the options for civil ceremonies are equally stunning.
So many of our guests commented on how great the venue was and it really made our day so special.
Our on-the-day coordinator, Sarah, was excellent and went above and beyond to smooth out any minor hiccups or decisions that needed to be made when me and my husband couldn’t be there ourselves (e.g the location of our drink reception was weather dependent)
We cannot thank the team enough for all their hard work and support, you made our wedding day the best day of our lives. 5 stars doesn’t seem high enough!

Couldn't have asked for more!
The grounds were beautiful, and the two sections of the barn make is so convenient for the party, as you don't have to wait for any of the rooms to be turned around between different parts of the day.
I honestly couldn't recommend this venue more, having the opportunity to come in the day before was also fantastic, as it meant we could do all the decoration and set up ourselves, which turned out to be a really fun part of the wedding prep, with our families there to help us.
On the day, everything went exactly as planned, and the co-ordinators at the venue were there to help with anything we needed! Nothing was too much to ask! They were also a massive help with the clear up the next day!
