If these walls could talk, they would tell of family and friends coming together, vows exchanged, toasts made, and food savoured. Every tale would be different, and every memory a new one.
Our barn can host 75-150 guests and includes seven en-suite bedrooms and a set of private rooms for the couple. From tables and chairs to a team of chefs waiting to create your menu, every detail has been considered. Just bring your dreams for your day.
Introducing the venue: A series of barns and outhouses dating from 1825, beautifully restored to create a light, warm, and airy atmosphere. They are connected in a flow that allows your day to unfold seamlessly.
Flexible spaces: From gathering to drinks, from dinner to dancing, our different spaces connect, allowing guests to move effortlessly through the venue and enabling your band or DJ to set up unnoticed. If the weather's warm and sunny, you can flow out to the courtyard. If not, your event will run just as smoothly. Pre-installed lighting, speakers, projector, and WiFi provide all the technical support you might need.
Your ceremony: Light-filled, atmospheric, and seating up to 135, the Meadow Barn is licensed to hold civil marriages and partnerships. For a sense of tranquillity, exchange your vows with the picturesque backdrop of the South Downs National Park. Both options are the perfect setting for your walk down the aisle.
Your hideaway: A private suite for you, tucked away in its secret garden. A room to prepare, with mirrors and natural light. A suite beautifully designed with space to spread out.
Your guests are nearby: The courtyard has seven double rooms with bathrooms. Its neutral colours and open layout are designed to help your guests get ready, then relax and wind down from the day's excitement.
Your drinks, your way: You can supply your drinks until 7:30 p.m. with no restrictions or corkage fees. We provide a fully stocked licenced bar to complement your chosen drinks.
Food by Farbridge: Every menu item is different, and every mouthful is delicious. From breads to chutneys to ice cream, our team strives to make as much as possible from scratch. We follow the seasons, use the freshest ingredients, and cook and serve restaurant-quality dishes straight from our kitchen.

The most perfect venue
Best Day Ever!
Amazing from start to finish!
We met Nickie at one of their open days and she was extremely knowledgable giving a fantastic tour of the venue with no hard sell.
We then had Ellie (Major) as our Event Manager for the duration of our planning period and into the wedding. Ellie was truly amazing throughout the entire process and also on the day of the wedding, leaving us feeling more relaxed knowing that she had everything in hand. We also had Julie on the day to support and again she was fabulous, keeping us calm and organised.
The day ran like clockwork, attention to detail was very high and also the food was amazing. All of our guests commented how lovely the venue was, which speaks a thousand words.
As Farbridge is independently owned you get a truly personalised service and they really do care about making your special day that bit more special. The location is stunning and the standard Farbridge work to are very high with the grounds kept in pristine condition and the food presented beautifully with amazing flavours to support for example. We honestly couldn’t have asked for more.
Would highly recommend and Farbridge definitely deserve a full 5/5!
Beautiful venue with the best staff
All our guests said what an incredible venue it was, the food was outstanding and multiple people have said it was the best venue and food they have had at a wedding.
We're so sad its all over but we have the most amazing memories.

Every stage of the planning journey was made stress free for us and timed perfectly along the way, from choosing our bespoke menu to deciding on our decor ideas, all of the meetings got myself and Lucie excited for our big day. Once you go to the venue you’ll want to keep going back!
Tom the head chef was amazing at helping us choose our menu, making sure we had a menu which reflected us a couple whilst putting a fun twist on a few bits of the food, he is a great asset to such an amazing team.
From both of us we couldn’t thank any of you enough, everyone always welcomed us with warmth and love and we will always be grateful for giving us the day we dreamt of

Flower vendor didn’t turn up, so Farbridge saved the day
Our videographer was telling us how much time you guys spent sorting the flowers, handpicking flowers, Julie making up buttonholes and everything else that clearly was going on behind the scenes that we had no idea about! Despite this, you kept handling our millions of nit picky requests along the way with a smile and we just wanted to say the biggest thank you for that.
I know we moved quite a few timings around to help us get the most from the day and we appreciate you being so flexible with us. We’ve both worked in events before and know how much work goes in to these kinds of things, so it truly doesn’t go unnoticed how much you and the team did for us.
Also, another shoutout to Tom and the team in the kitchen. That food was absolutely outrageously good. The pizzas went down a storm too and we couldn’t have been happier with every single thing we ate yesterday! Thank you to the chefs!
It was honestly the perfect day, so, thank you thank you thank you.
We have sent something in the post to share with all those that helped make our day so incredible (I hope you guys can spend 5 mins and laugh about it all with hindsight, knowing that we had the best time because of you all!). The best day of our lives
The setting is absolutely stunning, the in-house catering was incredible, and they brought our vision to life perfectly. Many of our guests have told us it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. We will be forever grateful to Farbridge for giving us such an unforgettable day, and and we are so thrilled that we landed on Farbridge as our wedding venue all of those months ago.

Meet the team
Nickie has managed over 600 weddings in her career. Coming to Farbridge in 2014, she and her husband Simon have relished the freedom it brings to make every event unique. She’s passionate about getting the details just right, seeing the barns transform and making sure everything runs exactly to plan. Any free time she has is spent in the garden, tending to her vegetable patch and enjoying quality time with her family.
Simon has more than 25 years’ experience in the kitchen. A New Zealander, his travels have widened his culinary repertoire, and he brings all this skill and enthusiasm to Farbridge. Making bread, ice cream, and cordials are just a few examples of things his kitchen makes from scratch. Simon loves creating bespoke menus with couples, and you will often find him foraging in the garden for ingredients to make their big day extra special. When he has the chance, Simon enjoys riding the slopes on his snowboard.
Tom’s culinary journey began in Ripon, inspired by his dad’s homemade pizzas shared with friends after military postings. With a background in weddings, large-scale banqueting, and fine dining, Tom has gained international experience working in Spain and Cyprus. He has cooked for premier league football teams and the England cricket team during their T20 World Cup win. A proud dad of two, he reflects on the days when he used to have hair, bringing humour to his impressive career.
