Cain Manor is one of three romantic, exclusive-use wedding venues owned by Bijou. This delightful Hampshire country house wedding venue is perched on the brow of a hill with stunning views over the North Downs. Bursting with rustic English countryside charm, the oak-framed manor is perfect for barn-style celebration.

The Elizabethan manor is a cosy, home-from-home venue with hidden nooks and crannies for your guests to enjoy. It is licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 123 guests in the beautiful Music Room or outside on the patio or under the gazebo.

During spring and summer, the manicured lawns which lead down into wildflower meadows and lush forest are perfect for an outdoor wedding. During cooler months, the Music Room’s triple-height ceiling looks stunning festooned with fairylights, as golden light pours in through cathedral windows and fires roar. In any season, the luxury banquets prepared by their in-house chefs will delight your guests before your all dance the night away.

The manor is one of the finest wedding venues in the Surrey-Hampshire area. The country house and grounds offer numerous beautiful photo spots, from the cosy Library to the backdrop of the countryside. The manor also boasts a beautifully-appointed bridal suite, 12 further guest bedrooms and a swimming pool and tennis courts so you can relax with your loved ones before or after the wedding.

Bijou venues operate only on an exclusive use basis so couples choosing to host their wedding at Cain Manor can treat it as their own home for the duration of their celebration. Visiting Cain Manor

We know that many of you are eager to come and see our venues (thank you!) and we will do our very best to ensure you are given an appointment on your preferred day and time.

We are continuing to do what we can to protect our staff, and upcoming weddings, so we kindly ask that you help us by maintaining our Covid-safe practice. This includes wearing a mask inside our venues, sanitising at every opportunity, and keeping socially distanced from our staff. We will ensure that our venues are well ventilated, and our thermal cameras switched on to detect anyone with a high temperature.

    Our special day finally arrived!

    We were due to get married at Cain in 2020 however like many couples covid put paid to our original plans. We found Bijou to be amazing during this incredibly stressful and uncertain time and after rescheduled our original date 3 times my partner and I were finally able to tie the knot this summer.

    It was worth the wait, Cain Manor is spectacular and Dean and his team were simply brilliant. We really relaxed and fully enjoyed ourselves, as did our families, knowing everything was completely taken care of. We really felt that the Cain Manor was our home for the day and cannot recommend it highly enough.

    20% discount - for no wedding!

    After my experience, I'd like to simply suggest potential customers google some of the following media stories- which all name this company (and I'm in some of the stories). This is by no means an exhaustive list of their recent coverage.

    1) 'Which' website - 'Couples jilted at altar by wedding venues cancelling big day – and pocketing their cash'
    2) BBC website - ''Our wedding is cancelled but we still have to pay'
    3) BBC One Show "Watchdog - Weddings"
    4) Guardian - "Cancelled weddings – refusal to issue refund may be breach of law"
    5) Surrey live - "Couple 'heartbroken' after Bijou Weddings cancels big day and asks for 80% cancellation fee"

    As a statement of fact, Bijou still have £13,000 of my money for a wedding in May 2020, that they cancelled, and will not refund us.

    Adam French, the Senior Consumer rights editor for 'Which', confirmed on ITV news on 26 May 2020 that "as part of this investigation, we have passed on the details of 12 venues - including the Bijou Group - to the regulator (The Competition and Markets Authority" for further investigation'.

    Those organisations working in customer services would do well to consider that their reputation is a more valuable long term asset than any bank balance which has been inflated - based on what what some might think to be deliberate contractual ambiguity. Of course, we were presumably all supposed to know from the outset that Bijou could cancel our wedding and charge us 80% of the total cost!

    No suitable date offered and Still awaiting my refund

    Having been laughed at, told I’m too emotional and have too high expectations, we’re not what I expected during lockdown when asking to have my wedding rearranged to the available Saturdays in July 2021!

    After many discussions, jo, the owner of the business is still yet to give us any of our £16k refund. We’ve not had a single penny back and they refused to offer the dates that were available. A Saturday in July at peak season was what we paid for and the options given were mon to Sunday sept to March. Pleased I didn’t give in to the bullying to take them as they can’t hold 80+ guest list weddings but are still charging for us for that!

    We are all still on cloud 9!

    Just a quick email to say thank you to all the team at Bijou (huge thanks to Dean).

    Our day was incredibly special and we are all still on cloud 9! The professional attitude of all staff was noted by all guests and you all went the extra mile in insuring that our day was faultless from start to finish!

    We would highly recommend Cain Manor to anybody and it will always hold a special place in our hearts.

    Incredible staff

    Just a quick and enormous thank you to all of the wonderful staff at Cain Manor who made our wedding day on Saturday so special. The staff all day and evening on Saturday, and Sunday morning too were incredible. Very well done and a huge thank you to the whole team.

    Stay of clear of this place!!

    The owners claimed that my recent review was fraudulent. (By Mark and Sunny, on 18 Jun 2019 Date of Wedding - 06 May 2019). This is not it is a true reflection of our experience. What makes matters worse is that the bride and groom had gifts and money stolen at the venue in the evening and therefore I must say keep very clear of this place and do not book! It is not safe..

We understand you to have been guests of Richard and Liuyi and while we will not air the specifics of their wedding on this public forum (other than to say that we have repeatedly confirmed to Richard that we are ready to cooperate with any and all investigations should the relevant authorities consider his claim to be valid) we will say that Richard’s refusal to follow proper channels and his assertion that it is our responsibility to compensate him (which it isn’t) are sad, as is the fact that he has resorted to blackmail and asking his friends to leave fraudulent reviews. For the avoidance of doubt, Richard has repeatedly confirmed to us that every element of the service, including the food, was excellent and, furthermore, we would remind you that you had chocolate fondant for dessert, not pavlova. We won’t be continuing this conversation online – if you (Mark or Sunny) or anyone else reading this would like to discuss it with us, we once again invite you/them to call us direct on 0345 130 9966.

    The perfect venue for my daughter

    We could not have wished for more - many guests were saying it was the best wedding they have ever been to, which obviously made us very happy indeed. Dean and his team were so professional, kind and friendly at all times. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Once again thanks to all at Bijou HQ especially Maddie, who never kept us waiting when we had a query or were unsure about something - it made us feel so comfortable that Cain Manor was the perfect venue for Katy & Matt.

    Be very careful...

    We had our wedding here last year and we are still pained at what happened. A beautiful day ruined by the theft of over £2,000 worth of gifts overnight. The culprits are unknown, but what is known is the shabby treatment by the owner, who had not the slightest interest or concern in what happened and said we invented the whole thing to extort money out of him. Unbelievable. You've been warned.

    We were guests recently - Very poor food quality

    We recently attended a wedding in early May this year. I must say that the food was very disappointing, the starter (chicken) was basically inedible and not what one would expect from this sort of venue. the main course beef was average and the desert which was a pavlova was fine but nothing special. We found the staff to be very average and on the whole this was a disappointing experience. My sister is looking for wedding venues and she will definitely give this one a big miss!!

    Totally perfect

    Our wedding day last Sunday at Cain Manor was totally perfect. Our guests all loved the venue and are still raving about the food - please pass on our thanks to the chef. Your staff were all so professional and the day ran so smoothly.

    Extremely friendly, professional staff

    On Monday we had the pleasure of celebrating our daughter's wedding at Cain Manor. It is a beautiful venue many of our guests commented on how lovely it is. For us a very special day was made even more so by your extremely friendly, professional and courteous staff, one and all they did a superb job.

    Amazing food!

    Ann, we had a really lovely day and wanted to say a huge thank you to you and your team for making everything in the run up and on the day go so smoothly. Dean was amazing, nothing was too much trouble on the day and he made me feel very relaxed and calm! My family also said he was lovely! We had really lovely comments on the venue and on the food especially! How amazing the food was and that everyone was so happy that the portion sizes were normal compared to other weddings they had been to! Thank you again to you and your team for always answering my endless questions and your help with the planning!

    We can not thank you enough for how smoothly our day ran - it was seamless. You exceeded our expectations and every single member of your staff team remained professional at all times. You are so kind and made me feel that nothing was too much to ask (not that I had to ask much as it went exactly as planned).

    It certainly was worth every effort put it and I can see why your price points are higher than other's I've looked at. You are on another level, I felt very special.
