To get married at Great Ote Hall is something is very special and unique, and I could not recommend it highly enough. From the moment we decided on the venue, everything was seamless from there on, and the day turned out to be even more beautiful than we expected. Our guests were blown away by the venue and our photo’s turned out perfectly.

From the moment we drove into the grounds and met Jo, we knew this venue was was where we were going to get married. From the initial meeting through to the day and after, Jo and the Leonardslee team helped us feel at ease, answered any questions (no matter how silly) we had and supported us throughout the whole journey. Our wedding day was easily the best day of our lives and choosing Leonardslee Wine Estate was a huge part of that.

We could not imagine a more perfect venue for our wedding than Balcombe Place. While I'm sure it is absolutely beautiful in the summer with the lovely views over the Downs, vast grounds and large windows, we think it really comes into its own in winter. The wooden panelling, thick carpets, four-poster beds, and nooks calling out for candles make it cosy but still sophisticated. It's a really stunning venue. Having the house for the whole weekend is a massive plus - we felt relaxed either side of the wedding, not having to worry about taxis and getting in and set up on the day of. Grace deserves her own review - she is an absolute star. Helpful, reassuring, patient, an endless can-do attitude - we would've been in such a muddle without her. While the run-up to the wedding is a bit stressful and overwhelming, I never had any worries about the day as I knew that as soon as a problem might arise it would be solved by Grace. Everyone needs a Grace for their wedding. The young staff working at Balcombe Place on Friday night and Sunday morning were polite, helpful, friendly and professional. We were very impressed. The bedrooms are beautiful and comfortable, they feel luxurious and relaxing. Nothing was too big of an ask for Grace and Balcombe Place, they put up an impressive Christmas tree in the main reception area and a smaller one at our request in the bridal suite which was lovely!! So many of our guests made a point of saying how lovely the venue was, feeling special and stunning but not overly formal. Thank you to Grace and the whole team - there are not enough words to convey our appreciation. Our wedding was a dream come true.

Our wedding at Nymans earlier this month was a dream. Sophie the co ordinator is friendly and experienced and helped us to feel secure that the day would be well run. She even helped calm the parents down at the rehearsal! The day went perfectly and the sunken gardens were stunning. The Loggia is a beautiful place to say your vows and the grounds have made for the most gorgeous photos. Guests were in awe of the setting and driving and walking through the gardens felt like magic, Nymans is special to us anyway but the fact that we can go back there any time is truly wonderful.

Incredible venue with the most incredible team. Gemma provided the most amazing on the day co-ordination for us. My husband and I will be forever grateful!

We couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful place to get married. The walled garden is absolutely stunning - a sun-drenched, perfectly kept setting that feels both timeless and unique. It has such a traditional charm, with every corner filled with colour and character, yet it still manages to feel relaxed and welcoming. What really made it special though was the team – their warmth and care gave the whole day a real family feel. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their attention to detail made everything run effortlessly. It’s one of those rare venues that feels like it has a real soul. A perfect blend of beauty, tradition, and genuine hospitality. We couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Antonia was great to deal with and the location was ideal for a school leaver’s party. Antonia creatively suggested an Urban Explorers theme and we used the dilapidated house as part of the backdrop. We are coming back this summer, this time using the party paddock for our next Leaver’s party - Route 66 themed with a marquee, hay bales, fire pits, BBQ and milkshake stall. Antonia is very accommodating and has some great ideas and contacts - and such a pretty, rural view from the paddock. Could definitely imagine a wedding there too. Vast oak trees, cows in the background and lush, green fields. Oh, and a side field for bell tents etc.

Everything was great, the value for money was excellent, and everything was wonderful. And the value for money was outstanding.

Melissa was incredibly helpful getting our wedding booked in and talking us through everything we needed to know to make our day perfect. The location is absolutely stunning and even more beautiful than we imagined. I can’t thank Melissa enough for all her help and going the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed to plan our special day. Would 100% recommend!
