Set within 108 acres of mature parkland on the London/Essex border and also within easy reach of Hertfordshire, Gilwell Park offers amazing facilities and service within a unique and historical setting, making us a popular and trusted choice for wedding couples.

Wedding receptions get exclusive use of our venue, meaning that your day is all yours! This includes use of our lounge bar, outdoor areas for reception drinks or an evening barbeque, our grounds for photographs of your special day and our large main hall for your wedding breakfast. Our main hall can be transformed with an internal marquee-style liner to convert the space into a classic banqueting hall that is both elegant and weather-proof and has space for up to 180 people for formal dining.

The White House is a 17th Century Grade II listed building at the centre of our estate and makes a stunning backdrop for your wedding reception. It has been sympathetically restored to house high quality facilities, including our 41 (35 en suite) bedrooms.

Our team will work with you to help plan your day from when you first enquire through to your event, meaning that whatever your question, idea or query, you’ll have access to dedicated event experts who will help you get the most from your day.

We have a team of experienced chefs that are skilled at building menus for any budget or wedding reception size with all meals cooked on site with top quality fresh ingredients. We are adept at sourcing and preparing food for a range of cuisines as well as specialist dietary requirements such as vegetarian, kosher or halal. However, should you wish to use your own external caterers this is also an option that we offer at Gilwell Park.
