Pedro’s Wine Bar is an effortlessly cool, independently owned wine and tapas bar nestled in the heart of Bermondsey—one of South East London’s trendiest neighbourhoods. Born from a passion for bringing the finest Portuguese wines to Londoners, Pedro’s began as OPS Wines, an importer and wholesaler, and has since evolved into a buzzing bar and bottle shop showcasing the best of Portugal’s wine and culinary culture.
Tucked inside a striking railway arch along the iconic Bermondsey Beer Mile—just a short stroll from Tower Bridge—Pedro’s offers a refreshingly unique venue that blends old-world charm with contemporary edge. Spanning two levels and featuring a private outdoor garden space, it’s a flexible space that can be tailored for everything from intimate gatherings to full-blown parties—accommodating up to 150 guests.
Expect an ultra-stylish interior where vintage vibes meet industrial chic: exposed brick walls, a sleek glass-and-steel mezzanine, handcrafted upcycled wood floors, and a statement granite bar. The ground floor is filled with natural light thanks to its floor-to-ceiling glass frontage, and doubles as the perfect setting for cocktail receptions, seated dinners, or a late-night dance floor. Upstairs, the mezzanine offers a light, neutral backdrop perfect for weddings, with room for up to 100 seated guests and a beautiful view of the space below. A top-tier sound system is included, with room for a live DJ or live music if you're planning a proper celebration.
Outside, guests can enjoy a leafy private terrace with seating for 40—complete with optional canopies to keep the vibe going year-round.

Gorgeous and intimate wedding venue with fantastic menu
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Pedro’s in September 2026 and honestly couldn’t have chosen a better venue. We had around 85 guests, which we thought was perfect size for the space: intimate and atmospheric but not too crowded. The venue has so much character and we had countless compliments from our guests.
Pedro, Samara, and the whole team were incredibly supportive, both in the months beforehand and on the wedding day itself. They helped us organise everything from the menu and drinks to decorations, band set-up, and the event schedule. On the day, everything ran seamlessly. The tables looked so welcoming, drinks were constantly topped up, and canapés seemed to find everyone. We didn’t have to worry about any logistical details could simply enjoy ourselves with our guests.
We had several vegan guests and other dietary requirements, and everyone was catered for brilliantly. I’m vegan myself and particularly loved the tempura green beans! A special thank you to chef Oscar for meeting with us beforehand and accommodating special menu adaptations the menu to suit all needs. The house bubbles and wines were also a big hit, as well as the lovely cocktails.
The venue itself is beautiful - we barely needed to decorate it. We just added a few small vases of wildflowers to the tables and it looked gorgeous.
Pedro’s was also a perfect fit for our budget. We felt it offered great value, especially for a wedding in central London with 85 guests, particularly as having the venue and catering together helped us save considerably. We spent just under £10k on on the venue, including all food and drink, table linens, and late license to stay open for an extra hour. However, nothing about the day felt like a compromise. The food, service and setting were all wonderful and we highly recommend them.
We’re so glad we chose Pedro’s and will always have such lovely memories of our wedding there. Thank you to the whole team for making our day so special. We’ll definitely be back for dinner!

Pedro’s was already one of our favourite places in London, so having our wedding there felt incredibly personal.
We celebrated our wedding on 6 September 2026, which felt like the perfect timing for the beginning of autumn and matched the warm, rustic atmosphere we had always pictured for our day. 🍂
One of the things I loved most about the venue was that we could have everything in one place : our intimate ceremony, a beautiful sit-down meal and then an after-party with around 90 of our family and friends. It made the whole day feel so relaxed and seamless, without having to move everyone from one venue to another.
We wanted an intimate city wedding with a rustic, elegant feel, and Pedro’s was exactly what we had imagined.
We brought in our own decorations and personal touches, and Pedro, Levi, Samara and the whole team were so supportive in helping us bring everything together while keeping the warm, rustic charm we had always loved about the venue.
The food and wine were amazing, and so many of our guests complimented the food, atmosphere and service.
But what really stood out for us was the service from the whole team. Everyone was so warm, attentive and welcoming from beginning to end. We felt genuinely looked after, and because the team took care of everything so well, Angel and I could simply relax, enjoy the day and be present with our family and friends.
For one unforgettable day, one of our favourite places became our place filled with the people we love and memories we’ll treasure forever.
We would definitely recommend Pedro’s Wine Bar to anyone looking for an intimate London wedding venue where you can have your ceremony, meal and celebration all in one beautiful place, with an amazing team looking after you throughout. 🤍🍂🍷

Pedro’s Wedding Reception
My husband and I had our wedding reception at Pedro’s and it was the best day! The food was absolutely incredible (some guests told us it was the best wedding food they had ever had). The venue is stunning and the staff, particularly Pedro, were so attentive, efficient and helpful. We had around 110 guests for food and dancing and everything went so smoothly, I was able to just enjoy our special day and everything was perfect! We are so grateful and would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a wedding venue!

A perfect London wedding venue, made special by an incredible team
We could not recommend Pedro's highly enough. From our first visit through to the wedding itself, Pedro and his team did everything they could to ensure our day was exactly as we had imagined.
The food and wine were fantastic and received endless compliments from our guests throughout the evening. We had a mix of meat-eaters and vegetarians attending, and everyone felt equally well catered for. Many guests commented afterwards on the quality of the food, several telling us it was some of the best wedding food they had ever had.
Communication throughout the planning process was excellent. Pedro was incredibly generous with his time, hosting tastings for us and our parents, sharing ideas and advice, and helping us navigate countless decisions in the lead-up to the wedding. It always felt as though he genuinely cared about creating the best possible experience for us, rather than simply hosting an event.
What really sets Pedro's apart is the people. Pedro and his team are warm, attentive, and genuinely lovely to be around. In the lead-up to the wedding they made us feel completely looked after, and on the day itself they somehow managed to be everywhere at once whilst never being intrusive. Any issues were dealt with quietly behind the scenes, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment with our guests. You could also see how much the team were enjoying the celebration, which added to the atmosphere and made the evening feel even more special.

Wonderful Food!
We recently had our wedding at this venue and it was such a special and memorable day for us. The setting created the perfect atmosphere for the celebration.
One of the main reasons we chose this venue was the food, and it absolutely lived up to our expectations, so many of our guests complimented it, which meant a lot to us.
Overall, it was a really meaningful day and we’re grateful to have celebrated it in such a lovely setting. We’ll always look back on it fondly.

Perfect wedding venue!
We had the perfect day and received so many compliments on the venue, food, service, decor... We can't thank Pedro and his team enough for giving our friends and family such a fun and memorable day. They were super accommodating to how we wanted to tailor the day. Thank you!

Beautiful, friendly and relaxed wedding venue.
We were lucky enough to have our wedding reception at Pedro’s in November 2025 and all I can say is wow! The food was exceptional - genuinely friends are talking about the steak and sea bass still (Jan26); the wine was first class (as would expect at a gorgeous wine bar); but most importantly Pedro and the team made sure that the day was simply exceptional and went without a hitch. My wife and I could just enjoy time with our friends and family - not having to worry about a single thing. They had everything in hand - and looked after the two of us as if our joy and happiness was their number one priority. Honestly, they were just amazing, accommodating and had everything in hand.
Also a big thanks to Pedro and team for going above and beyond by taking down the Christmas decorations (they were deep in Christmas party season) to accommodate our decorations. That was epic!
If you want a wedding or wedding reception venue, I couldn’t recommend Pedro’s more. Fun and relaxed, yet professional with great food and wine. Genuinely perfect. Thank you Pedro and Team.

The BEST wedding venue you could ask for
Wow, where do I start. We’ve been fans of Pedro’s for a long time as every time we’ve been here we’ve had excellent service, food and wine.
Which is why we decided to have our wedding reception here earlier this month, and we absolutely made the right decision.
Pedro and his staff were so helpful in the lead up, making our planning feel effortless and easy. There was no question too difficult for them to answer, and they gave so much useful guidance.
The day itself was perfect. All 125 of our guests had the most brilliant day, we were made to feel so welcome right from the canapés and welcome drinks to the end of the night at 2am! So many of our guests said it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding, and the wine and cocktails (so many espresso martinis!) were delicious too. The staff and Pedro himself are wonderful, thank you for making our special day so memorable and perfect.
Pedro guided us on the menu (we originally over ordered), and it was excellent value for money and exactly the right amount.

Perfect venue for a city centre wedding
We couldn’t have chosen a better venue for our wedding than Pedro’s Wine Bar. From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to make the day seamless. The service was incredible – they took such care in helping our less mobile guests, kept drinks topped up without us even noticing, and set up the venue beautifully.
The food was outstanding - multiple people told us it was the best quality wedding food they'd ever had. Pedro himself added such personal touches and even offered to drive us to London Bridge for some sunset scenic photos. We had a cheese cake delivered from a third-party, and Pedro's head chef arranged it so elegantly that it looked like it had always been part of the plan.

Pedro and his team are amazing and made the day very very special. They honestly could not have done more, or been more accommodating!
We had gotten to know Pedro and his team over the months leading up to the wedding, and it was very nice that they were all there and helped make the party what it was.
The venue is perfect for a wedding, the food was amazing (always is whenever we’ve wanted there), and the wine didn’t stop!

A beautiful, unimprovable, amazing wedding venue
The whole team at OPS (Pedro's Wine Bar) was beyond helpful. Our wedding was in October 2023 and I can only imagine how they have gone strength to strength since then.
The venue was absolutely gorgeous, the people were amazing, the food incredible and the wine spectacular. They literally could not have made the process any easier, any more enjoyable, and all around magical.

'Best wedding my guests had been to'
as the title says, my guests absolutely loves our wedding at Pedros from the food to the wine everything was brilliant. Pedro executed our vision perfectly and helped make our special day. The steak is especially good!
