Pedro’s Wine Bar is an effortlessly cool, independently owned wine and tapas bar nestled in the heart of Bermondsey—one of South East London’s trendiest neighbourhoods. Born from a passion for bringing the finest Portuguese wines to Londoners, Pedro’s began as OPS Wines, an importer and wholesaler, and has since evolved into a buzzing bar and bottle shop showcasing the best of Portugal’s wine and culinary culture.
Tucked inside a striking railway arch along the iconic Bermondsey Beer Mile—just a short stroll from Tower Bridge—Pedro’s offers a refreshingly unique venue that blends old-world charm with contemporary edge. Spanning two levels and featuring a private outdoor garden space, it’s a flexible space that can be tailored for everything from intimate gatherings to full-blown parties—accommodating up to 150 guests.
Expect an ultra-stylish interior where vintage vibes meet industrial chic: exposed brick walls, a sleek glass-and-steel mezzanine, handcrafted upcycled wood floors, and a statement granite bar. The ground floor is filled with natural light thanks to its floor-to-ceiling glass frontage, and doubles as the perfect setting for cocktail receptions, seated dinners, or a late-night dance floor. Upstairs, the mezzanine offers a light, neutral backdrop perfect for weddings, with room for up to 100 seated guests and a beautiful view of the space below. A top-tier sound system is included, with room for a live DJ or live music if you're planning a proper celebration.
Outside, guests can enjoy a leafy private terrace with seating for 40—complete with optional canopies to keep the vibe going year-round.

The BEST wedding venue you could ask for
Wow, where do I start. We’ve been fans of Pedro’s for a long time as every time we’ve been here we’ve had excellent service, food and wine.
Which is why we decided to have our wedding reception here earlier this month, and we absolutely made the right decision.
Pedro and his staff were so helpful in the lead up, making our planning feel effortless and easy. There was no question too difficult for them to answer, and they gave so much useful guidance.
The day itself was perfect. All 125 of our guests had the most brilliant day, we were made to feel so welcome right from the canapés and welcome drinks to the end of the night at 2am! So many of our guests said it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding, and the wine and cocktails (so many espresso martinis!) were delicious too. The staff and Pedro himself are wonderful, thank you for making our special day so memorable and perfect.
Pedro guided us on the menu (we originally over ordered), and it was excellent value for money and exactly the right amount.
We’re so delighted we chose Pedro’s, and it’ll always hold a special place in our hearts and memories. We had the best day of our lives here.

Beautiful, friendly and relaxed wedding venue.
We were lucky enough to have our wedding reception at Pedro’s in November 2025 and all I can say is wow! The food was exceptional - genuinely friends are talking about the steak and sea bass still (Jan26); the wine was first class (as would expect at a gorgeous wine bar); but most importantly Pedro and the team made sure that the day was simply exceptional and went without a hitch. My wife and I could just enjoy time with our friends and family - not having to worry about a single thing. They had everything in hand - and looked after the two of us as if our joy and happiness was their number one priority. Honestly, they were just amazing, accommodating and had everything in hand.
Also a big thanks to Pedro and team for going above and beyond by taking down the Christmas decorations (they were deep in Christmas party season) to accommodate our decorations. That was epic!
If you want a wedding or wedding reception venue, I couldn’t recommend Pedro’s more. Fun and relaxed, yet professional with great food and wine. Genuinely perfect. Thank you Pedro and Team.

Perfect venue for a city centre wedding
We couldn’t have chosen a better venue for our wedding than Pedro’s Wine Bar. From start to finish, the team went above and beyond to make the day seamless. The service was incredible – they took such care in helping our less mobile guests, kept drinks topped up without us even noticing, and set up the venue beautifully.
The food was outstanding - multiple people told us it was the best quality wedding food they'd ever had. Pedro himself added such personal touches and even offered to drive us to London Bridge for some sunset scenic photos. We had a cheese cake delivered from a third-party, and Pedro's head chef arranged it so elegantly that it looked like it had always been part of the plan.
It was 100% perfect for a London city wedding – intimate, stylish, and run by people who genuinely care. We couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Couldn’t have asked for more
Pedro and his team are amazing and made the day very very special. They honestly could not have done more, or been more accommodating!
We had gotten to know Pedro and his team over the months leading up to the wedding, and it was very nice that they were all there and helped make the party what it was.
The venue is perfect for a wedding, the food was amazing (always is whenever we’ve wanted there), and the wine didn’t stop!
Pedro allowed us to set up flowers, and music etc all before hand - he made the day very relaxed. And he was very responsive if we had a question.
Couldn’t recommend the place, the team, and Pedro enough for making your wedding all you want it to be!
All our guests commented on how much they loved the venue, and how great the team were (and how attentive they were at keeping your glass full).

A beautiful, unimprovable, amazing wedding venue
The whole team at OPS (Pedro's Wine Bar) was beyond helpful. Our wedding was in October 2023 and I can only imagine how they have gone strength to strength since then.
The venue was absolutely gorgeous, the people were amazing, the food incredible and the wine spectacular. They literally could not have made the process any easier, any more enjoyable, and all around magical.

'Best wedding my guests had been to'
as the title says, my guests absolutely loves our wedding at Pedros from the food to the wine everything was brilliant. Pedro executed our vision perfectly and helped make our special day. The steak is especially good!

Perfect Alternative City Wedding
We had an intimate city wedding at Pedro's, a celebrant ceremony followed by an amazing sit down meal and then a party with around 100 evening guests. It was exactly what I wanted, and the day went perfectly.
Getting married at Pedro's allowed us to be selective with what we cared about. I made an the decorations myself and the bridal party set them up. We didn't care about elaborate florals and didn't have any vendors, the venue has everything you need for a good party and looks stunning as it is.
Pedro and the staff were amazing. So attentive, and really on it with the service. No glass was left empty and the food was just amazing.
I loved every minute and am so grateful!

A lovely, intimate venue with excellent food and service!
This is one of the best-kept secrets of Bermondsey, and I'm so pleased to have discovered it! Pedro, the owner, is always present to make sure that the quality of the food, wine and service is top-notch, and they have an amazing selection of both meat and seafood.
My wife and I loved it so much that we decided to host our wedding by renting out the entire venue. Pedro and his team were professional, polite and made the entire day special for us both and our families. The price was very reasonable, and we were able to cater to a crowd of 120 comfortably with all diets covered and plenty of space to dance, relax and talk to friends and family present.
Try the Gambas, the beef T-bone and the pork tomahawk! They are exceptional!
I would rate this venue 10/10, and am so glad I live nearby so my wife and I can visit once a month, at a minimum!

THE venue for your ideal London restaurant wedding!
We hosted 98 people for our post town hall celebration for dinner, drinks and dancing. Perfect venue to have to yourself and create stages to the night across the two floors. The food was unreal and we had multiple guests comment on it! But most of all Pedro and his team were a dream to work with, making us feel at ease in the whole process, setting up and service on the night! Couldn’t fault a single thing!! Highly recommend as an affordable, great location London wedding!

Simply the best!
I wish I could relive my wedding day just to experience our celebration at this incredible restaurant again! If you're planning a wedding, I can't recommend this venue enough. Pedro and his team went above and beyond to make everything perfect. The space is already beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were just as amazing. Our guests also enjoyed everything. Pedro was very accommodating with guests who had allergies and other dietary requirements, which we truly appreciated. Words can’t capture how magical the evening truly was with this stunning venue. We had an intimate wedding, but this venue would easily work for larger gatherings too. Pedro was so patient with all my questions and made the planning process seamless. You won’t regret choosing this beautiful venue. Thank you again for making our day unforgettable—we truly appreciate everything.

Perfect Wedding Venue - Highly Recommend
We had our wedding at Pedro’s Wine Bar in April 2024. As a licensed wedding venue, we were able to have our legal wedding, celebration ceremony and reception in the same place. Throughout each stage, Pedro and his entire team were exceptional.
The planning process was thorough, with Pedro on hand to answer any and all questions about logistics so the day could be planned accordingly. From liaising with our florist, Bloom East, to arranging set-up with our DJ, from table arrangements to menu tasting, Pedro worked with clarity, good humour and the utmost professionalism to ensure the day went as planned.
On the day itself, Pedro and the team worked to ensure every element of the wedding worked seamlessly. They were respectful during the ceremony, attentive to all guests, and highly conscientious during service. The food served was uniformly excellent with vegans and vegetarians well-catered for. Starters of cod fritters, burrata and tomato salad, grilled prawns, vegetarian fritters and vegetable tempura were followed by sea bass, roast beef and a mushroom risotto tailored for vegans or vegetarians. The Portuguese wine list at Pedro’s is extensive and innovative, and those served during the reception were perfectly paired with the canapés and meal.
The decor at Pedro’s is industrial in architecture but rustic in furnishing, and this contrast paired brilliantly with the floral arrangement provided by Bloom East. The setting was versatile enough that each stage of the wedding felt unique, but it was the work of the team that enabled this distinction.
We are so grateful for the hard work, respectfulness and diligence of Pedro and the team. From the extensive planning to our communications on the day, we felt that the event was a collaboration. Many of our guests commented that it was the best wedding they’d ever attended. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the venue for a wedding or event, and would also fully recommend it for a quieter meal out!

Company Event
Pedro and his team looked after us from start to finish. We hosted an 80 people conference followed by a dinner. Food, drinks, service and IT were impeccable. we have had the best time and I will be definitely coming back to this venue with or without the company. many thanks!!
