Not your typical London wedding venue, and that’s exactly the point. We’re a modern Italian restaurant and wine bar built around good food and great wine in the heart of Spitalfields Market. Imagine long tables filled with food, wine being poured, candles flickering and music building as the evening unfolds. If you’re looking for something that feels less formal and more you, you’ll feel right at home here.

We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all weddings. Every celebration we host is shaped around the couple, from the layout of the space to the flow of the day. Whether it’s an intimate gathering or a full venue takeover, we create an atmosphere that feels personal, relaxed and full of life. Think of ALFI as a blank (but beautiful) canvas to be shaped however you desire.

What couples love about ALFI:

  • We have flexible spaces perfect for intimate dinners, full venue celebrations and anything inbetween.
  • Our shared Italian menus designed for long, social tables
  • Indoor and covered outdoor areas within Spitalfields Market
  • The option to add DJs, photo booths and personalised touches. You think it, we try to make it a reality.
  • A relaxed, non-traditional atmosphere

Food, Drink & Experience: At the heart of everything we do is the experience.

Our menus are built around contemporary Italian cooking, designed to be shared and enjoyed together. We're all about generous dishes made with seasonal ingredients and wine that keeps flowing. We’ll work with you to shape the food and drinks so it feels right for your day, whether that’s a relaxed feast or something more structured.

We’re here to make the process feel easy and enjoyable. Every step of the way up to the day itself, our team supports you in bringing everything together without it ever feeling overwhelming. Your main point of contact will be Federica, who has been with us for years and can pretty much read people minds at this point.

We’ve hosted a huge variety of events including weddings, parties, creative events and wine tastings, so we know how to create moments that feel special. And most importantly, we want your wedding to feel like yours. Personal and full of energy from start to finish.

Spaces & Capacity

Our space is designed to flex around your day. When you step inside, you’ll find a mix of areas including our Main Dining Room, The Nook, Private Dining Room and Bottle Shop, each with its own feel but all connected by the same warm energy. Outside, our covered and heated terraces bring the buzz of the market into your celebration, perfect for drinks and mingling.

You can choose to take over part of the venue or make it entirely yours. Half hire works beautifully for up to 130 guests, while full venue hire allows for celebrations of up to 300. However you choose to use the space, expect a setting that naturally encourages people to connect and celebrate together.

Reservations Manager & Director

I've been part of ALFI from the very beginning, helping shape the restaurant into the space it is today. Over the years, I've worked across different areas of hospitality, gaining experience in everything from guest relations and events to operations and reservations.

A year spent living in Bologna sparked a real love for Italy, its food culture and the way people come together around the table. That experience continues to inspire much of what we do at ALFI today. There's something special about the Italian approach to hospitality, where every meal is an occasion and every guest is treated like family.

One of the things I enjoy most about my role is helping people celebrate life's important moments. Whether it's an intimate gathering, a wedding reception or a large family celebration, I love working with guests to create an experience that feels relaxed, personal and memorable.

For me, great hospitality is all about making people feel looked after from the very first enquiry to the moment they leave. Seeing guests enjoy themselves and create lasting memories together is the most rewarding part of what I do.

Head of Operations

I've been part of ALFI since day one and have had the privilege of helping build the restaurant into the place it is today. As Head of Operations, I oversee the day-to-day running of the venue and work closely with the team to ensure every guest enjoys a seamless experience from the moment they arrive.

I grew up in Naples, a city where food, family and hospitality are at the heart of everyday life. Some of my earliest memories are centred around busy family tables, long lunches and the joy of bringing people together through great food. That Neapolitan spirit is something I carry with me every day and one of the reasons ALFI feels so special to me.

What I love most about hospitality is its ability to create connections. Whether we're hosting a wedding celebration, a family gathering or a corporate event, every occasion is an opportunity to bring people together and create memorable experiences.

I’ve been working in hospitality for a few years, and what I love most is being around people. For me, it doesn’t feel like just a job it’s like having different friends over for dinner at my place every day (except I don’t even have to do the dishes!). I love making everyone feel comfortable, relaxed, and welcome, as if they were truly my personal guests.

I come from a small village in Sicily, where the very first thing you’re taught is hospitality how to welcome and take care of guests properly.

I actually started working in the kitchen when I was 14, but I quickly realised I missed interacting with people too much talking only to colleagues wasn’t enough for me. So I decided to switch paths and move into front of house, where I could have fun, chat with guests, and hopefully leave them with a smile.

Every day is different, and that’s exactly what makes it fun you never get bored, and there’s always someone new to talk to and share a laugh with!
