We honestly cannot thank Amber and the entire team enough for everything they did leading up to, and on, our wedding day.

From the very beginning, Amber was absolutely amazing. She was so organised, helpful and reassuring throughout the entire planning process. Nothing was ever too much trouble, no question was too small, and she made everything feel so easy and stress-free. We always felt completely looked after.

On the day itself, Amber and all of the staff were incredible. Every single person was professional, friendly and attentive, and everything ran so seamlessly that Ross and I were able to completely relax and enjoy every moment without worrying about a thing.

Our wedding day was honestly the best day of our lives, and so much of that is thanks to Amber and her wonderful team. Everything was absolutely perfect, and we’ve had so many compliments from our family and friends about the beautiful venue, how well organised the day was, and just how fantastic all of the staff were.

Thank you, Amber, for all your hard work, kindness and dedication. You all played such a huge part in making our wedding day so special, and it’s a day we’ll cherish for the rest of our lives. We couldn’t have wished for a better team to share it with.

We had our wedding at Thornbury Golf and Lodge in July 2026 and it was absolutely amazing! We were in regular communication with Amber (Weddings and Events Executive), who was really responsive and guided us throughout all the various steps until the Big Day!

Amber was really flexible and helpful in terms of helping with ad-hoc requests as well where I wanted to see the venue and hotel rooms set up in advance. We felt that she really listened and was trying to be as accommodating as possible.

On the day, the venue room was beautifully decorated and everything went ahead as planned.

The food was amazing, many of our guests have commented on how much they enjoyed the food and we loved it too.

We were also asked by Richard in the evening that if there was anything else we needed, to let him know.

For us it was the perfect day, it was a lovely and relaxed atmosphere, as we and our guests were able to stay inside or go outside and enjoy the sunshine and lovely views.

We can't recommend the venue and the Team highly enough and we were very appreciative of all the efforts by everyone!

We had our wedding here at the end of June and it was amazing. All the staff were incredibly helpful and professional. We dealt with Amber throughout the planning process and she was respectful, professional and lovely to interact with - couldn’t do enough for us.

The lodge was a fantastic option to use as well, we booked it out the night before as well as the night of the wedding. It was wonderful to have a space where both our families could relax and get ready.

The food was lovely, and well received by everyone.

I would recommend to anyone looking for a well priced venue - loads of parking, easy to get to, and all the love well kept greenery!

We had a beautiful room in the lodge for the evening and there are plenty of rooms for guests to stay.

The wedding was absolutely incredible – truly one of the best days of our lives. We’d like to say a huge thank you to the Thornbury Golf and Lodge wedding team for everything they did for us. From the thoughtful little details to the constant support, nothing was ever too much trouble. They made the whole day run so smoothly that we were able to just relax and enjoy every moment. The staff were so warm and friendly, which made us feel completely at ease. The grounds are stunning, the food was outstanding, and we’re honestly amazed at the value we received for what we paid. We’re beyond grateful and couldn’t have wished for a better experience. And the care that also comes after, they checked in with us, asked about our honeymoon, and wished us a happy marriage, which we found very thoughtful!

I would recommend this venue over and over, one because of how beautiful the grounds are (the photo opportunities are endless) and the staff are truly amazing people 🤍

The whole day went great, we were made to feel at ease, staff checked in on us throughout the day and we didn’t have to worry about anything. The lodge stay was also lovely. All you need for a wedding in one place.

Thornbury Golf Centre team made sure we quite literally had the PERFRCT day. All the staff were kind and supportive, they genuinely looked happy for us which on your wedding day is so important! The food was amazing and received compliments from all of our guests and the lodge was an excellent addition and made the whole day so much easier.

When we realised on the day we’d made a mistake with a vegetarian guests meal they even sorted that less than an hour before the breakfast!

My husband (ahhh!) and I don’t have a single bad word to say about this venue. If you’re thinking about booking - do it!

We had a lovely wedding day back in November. Natalie, we could not fault, she was great throughout and couldn’t do enough for us. The same could be said for the two men helping throughout the day. They were also lovely. The food for the wedding breakfast was lovely and of a high quality.

The issues I have are to do with the volume of food for the buffet given the cost and the cost of the rooms.

We paid for 100 guests for the evening buffet at approx £15 per head. We had one tables worth of food which didn’t even equate to a sandwich per person. Luckily most people from the day were full but the table was pretty sparse given the cost. I can’t knock the quality because those who had some said it was lovely but the amount for the cost was poor. I presented a photo to Thornbury but this apparently isn’t enough. So all I would advise is to monitor this.

In addition, we were told the rooms at the lodge had a “special wedding rate” of £115 per night. This did not include breakfast. When one guest decided to stay on the day, they charged her £85 for the room. When I raised this with Thornbury they said it fluctuates throughout the year and depends on how in advance you book . This isn’t true as I looked on the website and rooms are sold at a rough price of £85 per night throughout the whole year. Personally, save yourself and your guests some pennies and just book the rooms through their website. Don’t fall for the “special” rate as I’m not sure what was special about it given guests didn’t even get a breakfast at that cost. When I raised this with Thornbury they have dodged each opportunity to discuss this part.

I probably also wouldn’t waste your time on the complimentary afternoon tea. It isn’t what you would expect and consists of a couple of sandwiches, a few crisps and a millionaires shortbread and rocky road cut up from their cafe/bar display. If you’re travelling more than 20 mins I probably wouldn’t bother.

We had 100 guests for the night and it was a bit squashed in the room upstairs with a couple of no shows. Be mindful of their max capacity of 120. There really isn’t enough room for that and left a lot of our guests stood up at the back without the option to sit down.

Overall we had a lovely wedding, and would recommend it overall as a venue but just be mindful of asking about these couple of things to ensure you’re happy and to be on top of it.

Had an amazing wedding here over the weekend, food and location were just lovely. The staff including Natalie and Leighton went above and beyond they are an asset to the venue. Nothing was too much trouble and our day was truly magical.

The venue was brilliant, and the staff was brilliant could not fault them at all.

Would highly recommend getting married here.

We had the most perfect wedding day and it was such a dream that we couldn’t of asked for anything better. From the very first viewing we fell in love with the venue with the beautiful grounds to the rustic feel of the main room upstairs with high beams and fairy lights. Everything looked so pretty.
Natalie was so great from start to finish and was happy to help with any questions I had from the beginning. Her advice and taking full control was fantastic. Lee was also great and ran our wedding on the day and everything just flowed like it should. We truly couldn’t be happier.
The food was gorgeous and even our guests couldn’t say anything wrong about it.

The first time we went to visit Thornbury Golf centre we fell in love with the venue, we were made to feel very welcome by Natalie and Nicola and felt really relaxed, the venue felt so right for the wedding that we had pictured for ourselves. From the wooden beams to the amazing views and the intimate feeling that we wanted our day to be. We would highly recommend this venue.
For our wedding day, we chose the top package which was the 'Excellence' and it was worth every penny. Everything that was included within our package was brilliant and was everything we had ever wanted. Our wedding took place on 12/11/2022 and after a long 2 years of planning and organising Natalie our wedding planner made sure all the team, especially Lee and Craig, that everything was organised effectively so the day ran smoothly.
The food was amazing, all our guests commented on how much they loved it and how beautiful the venue looked, we can't thank Thornbury enough for our amazing wedding day, which we will treasure forever.

We were given a warm welcome right from the start. We mainly dealt with Natalie who did an amazing job. She gave us all the information we needed (and more) and was very accommodating throughout, especially with some last minute changes before the day itself. Thanks to the whole team and Thornbury Golf Centre, but an even bigger one to Natalie!
