We cannot thank the whole team at jolly gardeners enough, they gave us truly the most perfect day and honestly wouldn’t change anything.
From the beginning, we hadn’t seen the venue previously but after meeting Jon there for the first time we immediately knew this was where we wanted to have our wedding. Both super professional and knowledgeable whilst also being such lovely people.
On the day everything the pub was transformed and the day went so smoothly, every guest was catered for and happy and the space worked amazingly well for the black tie cocktail and canapé theme. We loved how the space just transformed into what we wanted whilst also being a fab pub on another day.
Can’t recommend them highly enough! We’ll be back any time we can to relive the memories x

From the very first meeting with Jon we absolutely knew we were in good hands. Jon is truely a professional and knows exactly what was needed every step of the way. His communication with us was incredible and it really felt like he was doing everything he could to make the day exactly as we wanted. He was incredibly laid back which made the whole planning process feel like an absolute breeze. He (and the chef) were also flexible with our requests in making alternations to some of the food choices. We made multiple visits to the pub prior to the wedding and every single member of staff was always so helpful and friendly.

On the day the whole team at the Jollys were fantastic and friendly and the service was so slick and amazing! Everything was served with a smile and guests commented on the excellent service. Throughout the day every single thing went exactly to plan and this was all down to the Jollys team for their hard work.

We have had so many people tell us how good the food was and that for most, it was some of the best food they have ever had at a wedding. They catered for any dietary requirements with no problems. Jon even got our favourite beer and cider on the taps!!

The venue itself looked absolutely incredible, the team accommodated our personalised neon sign and get book hung on the wall.

Finally after the swiftest table clearance I have ever witnessed, the pub was completely flipped from a beautiful sit down meal to a venue that was well and truly ready for the party. The espresso martinis were delicious, the music was loud and we didn’t stop dancing for the whole evening.

We cannot say thank you enough to the whole team at the Jollys. We have had people telling us it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to and we think this is down to the hard work of Jon and the team. Thank you so much again - wish we could do it all over!!

We really wanted a fun pub wedding, and the Jolly Gardeners really helped deliver this and then some. Jon made the whole process really easy for us, and accommodated every request we sent his way to give it the personal touch we wanted. We even arrived early on the day and the staff kicked off the drinks reception and canapes for us no problem. The food was absolutely delicious, which is very important for a wedding, followed then by a party, with a large dancefloor due to the size and layout of the pub accommodating for this. We would really recommend this venue to anyone wanting a fun wedding, they really know what they're doing!

We couldn't recommend the Jolly Gardeners more for a London pub wedding! Jon made the whole process from start to finish really easy and enjoyable. We loved visiting for the tasting and planning, we were really made to feel at home by the staff especially by Umberto who was always a real joy.

We knew we were in good hands knowing Jon and the team were so experienced and loved the flexibility they could offer. Our wedding day couldn't have been better, we received so many compliments from guests about the pub, cocktails and the food in particular.

It was the perfect day in the perfect setting! Can't wait to visit again in future.

We held our wedding ceremony, dinner and party at the Jolly Gardeners in March 2025 and would absolutely recommend the venue and the team to anyone looking to host any kind of event.
From the first day discussing our plans with the team they were hugely supportive of our efforts allowing us to fully realise our vision, and really taking part to help everything go as brilliantly as it could.
This included
- on the big day the food, drinks and service were all excellent
- allowing us to start decorating the pub a day before the wedding despite the pub being open as normal that evening
- going out of their way to ensure my favourite beer was on tap for the day
- roping in the bar and kitchen staff to perform a firework festooned dancing entry for the wedding doughnuts
I can't say a negative word about this great team, and can't say enough positive ones.

If you’re considering this for a wedding venue then you’ve stumbled across a truly special place - I could not recommend it more. We had our wedding reception & party at the Jolly in February of 2025. The build up to it ended up being really fun, we knew the pub before but we really got to know it & the team through a food and then a drinks tasting - they’re all so friendly (and generous!). It was clear that Jon wanted to make the day as magic as possible for us and we had 100% confidence in him & the team knowing how to bring it all to life from the start. The space is really well set up for a wedding - the central bar makes for a social layout and it’s got an effortlessly cool decor that would match most styles - we did it paired back because we think the pub looks so great as it is. Genuinely can’t fault a single thing… everyone commented on how good the food was, and the cocktails went down a treat, a good dance floor space (with plenty of room for live music), but to be honest our favourite thing was the people who work there. These people take such care to make your day special. We’ve loved going back to see them since & feel lucky that we got to get married in such a wonderful place!

We couldn't be happier with our choice of venue. We had our wedding ceremony at Lambeth Town Hall before heading to the Jolly Gardeners for our reception, dinner and dancing. We had hired out the whole pub which could easily accommodate our 135 guests (including a few children/babies). It's a lovely space with a high ceiling, large windows, lots of plants and a relaxed vibe. Communication was excellent from the start of the planning process, which was overall pretty stress-free and included a very enjoyable food tasting. We had one point of contact, Jon, who was very helpful and responsive on emails.
On the day all of the staff were so friendly, attentive and professional - 10/10 service. Many guests complimented the food which was delicious and served in generous portions. Drinks were also great especially the espresso martinis and negronis we had after dinner. They were also able to source the specific sparkling wine and beer we had requested from their suppliers. Only downside was that we couldn't hear any of the music we had in the background while mingling and during dinner but that's just what you have to expect with that many people in a pub! Highly recommend if a pub wedding is what you are after!

We had our wedding reception here in May 2024 and it was everything we hoped for and more! We were looking for a casual pub wedding venue and after viewing a few, nothing matched up to The Jolly. Jon was incredibly friendly and open to all of our ideas from the start. He made every single suggestion happen and nothing was ever too much trouble - from letting us decorate the pub the day before, to having Jolly canapes brought to a different venue down the road for the drinks reception and pizzas delivered for late night food. We couldn't believe how flexible the team were and for this we are so so thankful!

As reluctant wedding planners, Jon looked after us every step of the way, remaining incredibly calm which helped make the whole wedding planning process less stressful. We were invited in for food and drinks tastings which were a lot of fun, it was like planning your wedding with old friends.

The venue itself is lovely and bright and airy, and the main selling point for us was being able to hire the whole pub and bar, meaning all the guests remained together in the same space for the whole day, and the secret garden area meant that even those going for a smoke still felt like they were connected to the party.

We got to know Umberto through the tastings and what a LEGEND, personally ensuring my glass was full all day long. We had sharing mains and desserts and the menu was completely personalised, our guests absolutely loved it! The big screens were great for the speeches as lots of photos and vids were shown. The party kicked off pretty hard with the band in the evening and we had so so much fun!

We have been back lots and have remained in contact with the Jon. Honestly couldn't have asked for a better day, it was perfect and exactly what we wanted - relaxed and a lot of fun! Thanks Jon, Umberto and the team. Kate & Matt xx

My daughter Katherine and son in law Tom had their wedding here in September. I have to confess I had nothing to do with arranging the reception.I had visited once before the big day and knew we would not be disappointed.The staff are all amazing,so friendly and accommodating and go that extra mile to make it a day to remember.Nothing was too much trouble and at no point was there any issues or dramas going on.I had heard some horror stories from friends about the wedding planning situation and we experienced none of that thanks to the professionalism of the whole team at The Jolly Gardeners.Katherine and Tom had the wedding of their dreams and everyone had the best time.The drink flowed,the food was fabulous,no easy task with 110 covers! A great band added to the whole party atmosphere.It certainly was a day to remember.Thank You to all the team at The Jolly Gardeners.

From our first meeting with Jon, to the day itself, our wedding at the Jolly Gardeners was better than we could have imagined. We can't recommend the Jolly Gardeners and their incredibly hospitable team enough - they really made our entire wedding perfect and so memorable.

Starting with the planning and initial meetings with Jon, we were astounded at how flexible the wedding options would be. Additionally, it was clear from the outset that the team were so organised and capable and that this part of our wedding would be the easiest to arrange. Each time we visited we felt so confident that the day would be incredibly well run and we wouldn't have to worry at all.

On each planning visit Jon and the team made us feel incredibly welcome and special, and were so generous with their hospitality. Part of the reason we chose the Jolly Gardeners was because having great food and drinks were an integral part of the day to us, and Jon and the team were always keen to show us all options (almost anything is possible). As a result, we very rarely (never) left sober or hungry. They were also incredible at catering for allergens, and these options didn't feel like a trade off and were absolutely delicious.

On the day itself, the pub looked absolutely incredible and had been set up by the team and florist (again, something we didn't have to think or worry about!). The welcome cocktails were delicious, as were the canapes. The meal itself was perfect and made even better by excellent service. A special mention to Umberto who made sure both Nick and I had a drink in hand at all times, and even made sure we knew when evening food was being served so that we didn't miss out!

Every guest mentioned how excellent the food was and how hospitable all of the team were. We were thrilled that our guests were made to feel exactly as we did on each of our visits.

In summary, if you're unsure about a pub wedding - do it, and do it at the Jolly Gardeners! It's so nice knowing we'll always be able to go back there to enjoy their amazing food and hospitality.

The team at the Jolly Gardeners sure know how to throw a wedding party and we have them to thank for bringing to life a wedding party of dreams.

Jon is the most hospitable host, always available for a quick chat, constantly managing any changes to the plan and will really work with you to make the day unique and special.

The pub itself is beautiful, if you're looking for an open and bright space, with greenery that makes it a great canvas as is or to match any colour scheme, then the Jolly is the perfect choice.

All our guests felt very comfortable and at ease which made the day that bit more enjoyable, everyone knows what to do in a pub afterall.

The food is DELICIOUS, and Jon makes the process so much fun. Inviting you in for a tasting day where you won't be leaving the pub hungry or entirely sober...

Personal touches such as a signature cocktail, sharing style dinner, 3 different playlists which Jon managed with ease and karaoke to top it all off were all personal aspects that made the day our own (special mention for the cheese board that covered the full length of the bar).

We would recommend the Jolly again and again for any couples that are looking for a venue that sets the tone for a night full of ease and plenty of dancing.

From the very first message to the end of our wedding night, Jon and his crew at the JG were absolutely fantastic. The space was amazing, facilities were excellent, and the food was delicious. All in all, from the very start, it was our perfect day. Thank you to the Jolly Gardeners for everything.

We had our wedding at the JG on the 11th May this year and have been so happy with the venue and the staff, our day went perfectly. Jon in particular was friendly, accommodating and flexible; he basically took all the stress out of planning the day, which meant we could focus on other parts of the day. All the staff on the day were amazing, we had so many people tell us that the food was the best they'd had at a wedding and that the venue was beautiful. We can't recommend them enough, please use the Jolly Gardeners!

There is nothing we could say that would capture the sheer depths of our gratitude to Jon and the whole team at The Jolly Gardeners. We have loved coming since Nov 2021 and it was pure joy to celebrate our wedding reception here in Feb 2024. The food? Incredible, as ALWAYS. The drinks? Perfect. The staff? We have shed actual tears at how bloody lovely they all are. The organisation and planning? Worth getting married for the FUN they made this process alone!! Attention to detail, second to none.
