We recently had our intimate wedding at Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa on 30.03.26, and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. From start to finish, we were treated like royalty by every single member of staff. The level of care, attention, and genuine warmth we received throughout our stay was incredible. The team truly make you feel like your wedding is the most important and special event they’ve ever hosted without being false and animated. They just genuinely care. A huge thank you to the amazing wedding team. Everything ran like absolute clockwork on the day, and we didn’t have to think about a single detail. I bought all my own decor and they seamlessly set up, moved and reset it all throughout the day and even packed everything up for us the next day, which made such a difference. They really made my vision come to life! A very special mention has to go to Monique, our wedding coordinator on the day. she was simply outstanding. She couldn’t do enough for us, and her calm, organised approach meant we could completely relax and just enjoy every moment. Me and Tom have both said that if we could have Monique organise our entire lives (not just our wedding!), we absolutely would 🤣 Michaela was also fantastic in the lead up to the wedding. Every question we had was answered quickly and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. The whole process felt smooth and stress free thanks to her. The food throughout our stay was incredible, and the experience at Mizu Restaurant the night before the wedding was a real highlight. We would highly recommend this to anyone getting married at the hotel, it was the perfect way to start the celebrations. So many of our guests said it was the best food they have ever had, which says everything. We also spent time in the spa both the day before and the day after the wedding, and it was the perfect start and end to such a special occasion. And of course, the setting speaks for itself. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, and the hotel itself is stunning while still feeling warm and welcoming. like a home away from home. We didn’t experience a single issue or hiccup, either on the day or in the lead up, which is a true testament to the team and how well everything is run. We would wholeheartedly recommend Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa to anyone considering getting married in the Lake District. If you love the Lakes, you genuinely won’t find a better combination of breathtaking scenery, exceptional service, and a venue that feels so personal and special. It was during a stay at Armathwaite Hall, while sitting on the lawn, taking in the beautiful grounds, when we decided there and then that, after 26 years together, it was the perfect place for us to get married. Fast forward seven months, and we were back to celebrate our perfect day. It was a busy few months of planning, and our vision for the day changed many times. What started as a small ceremony grew into a wedding with 60 day guests and 110 evening guests. Timings, food and various other details were tweaked along the way, and every change was handled without fuss by Lynsey, our wonderful wedding coordinator. We had our hearts set on a woodland ceremony, but sadly, that wasn’t to be. Lynsey did everything possible to move the ceremony to the gazebo area, but the wind proved too strong. She then made a mad dash to get everything set up inside. Throughout the morning, Lynsey kept us updated and was clearly just as disappointed as we were when she had to tell us the ceremony would now take place indoors. And do you know what? In the grand scheme of things, it really didn’t matter. We were still getting married at the place we had fallen in love with, surrounded by the people we love. We had some amazing photographs taken throughout the beautiful grounds and then partied the night away in a truly stunning function room. We opted for the Twilight Package, adding additional evening guests. After the ceremony, we were welcomed with delicious canapés and drinks in the lounge area, giving us time to greet our guests and have photographs taken before joining our evening guests in the function room. The whole day went by in a flash, but it was absolutely everything we had dreamed of and more. Staying the night before gave us the perfect start, relaxing in the spa and enjoying a pre wedding dinner in the evening. We are so thankful to Lynsey for making both the planning process and our wedding day run so smoothly. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and she handled every change, question and last-minute decision with such professionalism and calmness. Our guests commented on what a beautiful setting Armathwaite Hall is, how friendly the staff were and how amazing the food was. A fantastic time was had by everyone. We genuinely cannot recommend Armathwaite Hall enough to any couple searching for that perfect wedding venue. For us, it truly has it all — beautiful surroundings, wonderful food, fantastic staff and the most amazing atmosphere. Armathwaite Hall will forever hold a very special place in our hearts, and we feel incredibly lucky that we got to have our perfect day there. We are already planning our next stay.
