We absolutely fell in love with Broadoaks the moment we saw it! The staff have all been wonderful! I don’t have a bad word to say about any of them! We had 2 day exclusive hire, the food on both days was amazing! Issie was an amazing wedding coordinator! I didn’t once feel stressed or anxious about the day! Would highly recommend Broadoaks for the venue, staff and the value for money!

I cannot rate broadoaks highly enough! Everything was perfect for our 3 night stay and 2 day wedding event. Brilliant co ordination from Mel and the staff are incredibly hard workers. The venue was just perfect and all the guests loved their individually decorated rooms! The spa baths are great. The food was brilliant and the breakfasts are wonderful. It really was the best day of our lives at Broadoaks- everything was just perfect and the house and grounds are just stunning!! Thank you all so much.

The best thing I did when I was looking for a venue was seeing Broadoaks on Facebook. Joanna and Mel did a fabulous job of organising our wedding. The venue is just amazing. The great thing about the venue is that you have it all to yourselves. Bedrooms are stunning and the food is outstanding. We cant recommend this venue enough. There are no words to explain quite how impressed we have been with our experience with Broadoaks. From our very first contact email, to our last follow up phone call, our wedding coordinator Mel was absolutely amazing. She helped us realise our dream event, ensured that every step of the way we felt confident that everything would be perfect and just the way we wanted it. Mel really did make our event personal to the extent that we felt that ours was the only wedding happening... ever! Mel and my partner got on so well it was a pleasure to have her organise our event.

The hotel grounds are perfect for a small to medium event. We had 21 guests and even though we did not go for exclusive hire we had exclusive use of the orangery and its outside area which were perfect for our group. The gardens are immaculately kept, the wedding lawn is private and secluded from any hotel guests. The food is very well presented, tasty and the kitchen staff went out of their way to cater for some special requests.

The hotel rooms are amazing, every single room is different, perfectly decorated and all have unique features. The 'Retreat' is out of this world, its huge, stylish and with its twin inside/outside bath a perfect end to a romantic wedding day.

The wedding packages offered flexibility and very good value. We were able to have the wedding of our dreams on a budget we could afford which allowed us to add extra touches we'd otherwise have missed out on.

We cannot recommend Broadoaks highly enough its very rare that I feel the need to write a review but on this occasion I feel that the venue and staff (especially Mel) far exceeded our expectations and made our wedding day perfect. We will be returning to stay for our anniversary and any other occasion we can get away with.

We had an intimate civil ceremony at Broadoaks County House Hotel in December 2022, and everything was spot on. We couldn’t of asked for more from our wonderful wedding planner Viki, she was on hand throughout the day, as well as the weeks running up to the wedding day.

One of the main reasons for choosing Broadoaks is their acceptance of dogs.. we have two Golden Retrievers and it was so important to us to have them with us throughout the day, and they were made so welcome by all the staff 💕

Well where do we begin... There is no words to describe how incredible our experience has been with Broadoaks Country House, would give it 1000 stars if we could. From the very beginning of our journey from driving up the amazing driveway to the 2 days we got to spend there celebrating our love and coming together with our closest family and friends and of course our beloved dogs. We couldn't have wished for anything better.
I think we had contact with each and every one of the events team whilst on our journey with them and not a bad word to say about any of them. A BIG shout out to Mel though especially, who was our actual wedding coordinator of our special day...You were just amazing! And we couldn't have asked for anyone better you were very professional but personable at the same time and it really felt like she was a part of our wedding rather than just that person behind the scenes so thank you from the bottom of our hearts all the support and chats we will be forever grateful. Another Thank you to all the rest of the staff at the hotel aswell you all were just absalute diamonds of humans. We were made to feel like Lady and Man of the manor and nothing was no trouble at all.
Also the venue itself and the saroundings couldn't have been better with plenty of space for all our guests to spread out and mingle throughout our 2 day exclusive stay. On top of this all our guests loved their stay at the hotel and the rooms they all fell in love with instantly. Everyone has been coming back to us saying how homely and welcoming and that it really didn't feel like a hotel more like a home sweet home environment.
If we could go back to that day and get married all over again, we genuinely wouldn't changed a single thing ( not even the weather)
We already can not wait to come back and visit many times in the future also to stay. You are in our eyes the best hotel in the whole of Windermere.

We came across broadoaks on a hitched advert on Facebook nearly 18 months ago, as soon as I seen the pictures I instantly sent the link to my partner who then booked us to go and look around and meet a member of the events team, we met with Mel who was absolutely amazing nothing was to much trouble she happily went through all dates that suited us and our family. Once we settled on a date everything was perfect communication from Mel was always so quick and clear what we needed to do. Then along came Covid which meant our original wedding date couldn't be accommodated this wasn't an issue as Mel sorted everything for us and a new date was booked. Our wedding was on 02.09
21 we booked Broadoaks exclusively for 2 days I can honestly say this was the best decision ever. The day before was perfect all our family and friends sat outside in the sunshine catching up after a long time apart then the actual wedding day came again Mel was a star she handled everything even keeping me calm during numerous tears getting dressed 😊 the day was perfect all our family and friends loved the venue and all said how fantastic the two days went. Also a huge thanks to Dan he's fantastic and so are all the staff they made us feel at home. Can't wait to come back on the 16th October. Thank you for a perfect wedding. My &Mrs Leigh

Fantastic wedding at Broadoaks on Saturday 18th January 2020. We had the venue booked for the whole weekend.Mel and Amber were really helpful with the wedding preparations ensuring all our needs were met.
The night before was great and food delicious. The day itself went like clockwork Mel kept things calm and organised. The ceremony room looked gorgeous as did the orangery where we had our wedding breakfast.
All our guests thoroughly enjoyed their stay all the rooms being different and all beautifully decorated was really quirky which we loved too.
No wonder you have won awards Broadoaks, thank you for helping us make some fantastic memories which we will treasure. Thanks to all staff who were all helpful, friendly and always smiling. We will definitely be back. Carole and Paul Buchanan x

We had the wedding day of our dreams at Broadoaks, it was everything that we had wanted and much more. Darren took our first pre-wedding meeting and set the bar high. The events team made organising the day really straightforward. Viki, the deputy general manager was so helpful and friendly and helped us so much with resolving some of our more challenging questions.

Amber was the most fabulous wedding co-ordinator, nothing was too much trouble and her attention to detail was first class. She even stepped in to avert a cup cake crisis on the day which we knew nothing about until later. We really cannot thank her enough.

Our guests were absolutely bowled over by the beautiful bedrooms, their pristine presentation (thanks so much to Anne and the very caring and professional housekeeping team), the food was absolutely delicious and won plaudits from even our pickiest guests (our thanks to the very talented chef and kitchen team). We must say a big thank you too to Edward, our master of ceremonies who ensured that the wedding breakfast and evening reception ran like clockwork. A big thanks to Jim on reception ensured that all our guests received a very warm welcome. Mike on the bar, was hailed as a really lovely guy by so many of our guests.

We cannot recommend Broadoaks highly enough, we had the most relaxed and amazing day with our guests. The whole Broadoaks team delivered absolute perfection.

A perfect venue, a perfect weekend and yes, perfect staff. We planned a Wedding in a Winter Wonderland but got beautiful Feb sunshine!! Jo as our coordinator on the weekend was incredible from start to finish, other staff such as Jim, Dan, Mike, Costina and Robi to name but a few. A diverse mix of wonderful characters all of whom played an integral part in our wedding.

Food was amazing - all guests complimenting the dishes and service was always swift. Nothing was to much trouble.

The building itself is incredible - all the rooms were perfect and every detail was attended to.

We booked Broadoaks exclusive use package and spent the whole weekend in the most excellent hotel surrounded by attentive, happy to help staff.
Our big day was 4th August 2018 and it was everything we dreamt of and more.
We live outside of the U.K. And I spent months trying to plan via email. The events staff where so patient and understanding, in particular a wonderful lady called Jo. We where met with smiles and calm on the Friday and was instantly made to feel at ease. Nothing was too much to ask.
The hotel itself is beautiful and the surrounding gardens where breathtaking. Every room has a different feel and the honeymoon suite is fabulous. Our wedding party was 100 people in total, 24 of which where children. They where catered for so well and never made to feel in the way.
I had my heart set on an outdoor wedding and thankfully the weather was glorious. The main room set up for the wedding breakfast was perfect and having over run on the speeches the staff pushed everything back a little to ensure the evening ran smoothly and didn't feel rushed. I cannot recommend Broadoaks enough for anyone wanting the perfect setting for thier special day.

Where to start from the moment we drove up the beautiful drive we were blown away, Broadoaks has such a homely feel that instantly makes you feel part of the place. Little Jo was our wedding planner she made us feel like nothing was too much trouble she was amazing. Our day was not like normal weddings as we were wanting a more relaxed and informal wedding, Jo was fantastic with helping to plan our day, it was definitely a tailor made package with a difference. We booked Glen Anderson as our wedding singer and David Goodier Photographer from their approved suppliers and we were not disappointed they were fantastic. During our day & time spent there all the staff went that extra mile nothing was too much trouble. We chose the BBQ option and it was amazing and every guest commented on it. We loved having the venue exclusive to ourselves. I really felt like our day was important to them. I would do it all again if I could & I wouldn't change a thing. Broadoaks made our day absolutely amazing. From the first day we met with Jo we knew it was the place we were going to get married.

The attention to detail of all the staff who work there was outstanding and everyone went out of their way to make the day extra special.

We had nothing to worry about on the day apart from just getting ready. Everything was organised with pin point precision leaving us to enjoy an absolutely fabulous day which we will never forget.

Whilst most of the country was under the grip of the beast from the east my family were making the drive to this lovely hotel. From arrival to departure the staff went above and beyond any level of customer service I’ve ever experienced. My wedding co-ordinator Darren ensured everything went off without a hitch, as we’d planned during our meetings beforehand. He’d really taken the time to understand our requirements. On the big day so much snow had fallen there was a real possibility of the wedding not going ahead. My hair and makeup girls couldn’t make it through. But I needn’t have worried because the hotel had everything covered with the help of their in house 4x4. Another hair and makeup supplier were sourced within an hour, and by some miricle the rest of the suppliers also made it one by one. The registrar also got a lift to the venue through the kindness of Cumbria fire and reacue service - so our wedding crisis was averted! From that point onwards everything went perfectly. Following the dramas of the morning all the staff at Broadoaks really made sure myself and my husband Damon were able to relax and enjoy the rest of our day. Everyone was so friendly which makes a massive difference to the atmosphere created on the day. It almost felt as if they were enjoying the day as much as we were! The snow itself made the hotel look even more picturesque and magical than it did without. This meant we were able to capture some breathtaking photos in and around the hotel grounds. A true fairytale wedding - I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. If your in any doubt about booking Broadoaks- I’d attend one of their regular wedding fayres. Hope this helps!!
