Low Hall The Lakes is a secluded and beautiful Lake District wedding venue. Set within colourful gardens and ridiculously charming grounds looking out over the Lake District Fells, you’ll find this characterful (semi) DIY barn venue. Complete with a gorgeous 17th century farmhouse for you and your besties to stay in, the grand Lovable Old Barn to party in and even an enchanting woodland for you to say your ‘I dos’ in or you might prefer the wildly romantic garden with the Lakeland fells as your backdrop. This Lake District wedding venue really is unlike any other and it will be all yours for two nights or more.
FACILITIES AND CAPACITY
Whether you want a big old party in the Lovable Old Barn or an intimate ceremony inside Low Hall farmhouse, from a Lake District Elopement for just you two, to 110 of your besties, Low Hall The Lakes is exclusively yours. You can go all out with styling or keep it just as it is and your guests will undoubtedly be completely smitten with it too. With views to make your heart dance, history, beautiful gardens and original quirks throughout, it feels like you’re in a happy little world of your own in the middle of nowhere, but you’re actually a handy distance to local towns of Cockermouth and Keswick. The vibe is warm and welcoming, laidback and cool and absolutely gorgeous.

Although a DIY barn venue, lots of the big essentials are included, meaning you can concentrate on the fun stuff. The barn and grounds are well lit with fairy and festoon lights throughout. Tables and chairs, bars and glassware are all included too, as well as on the day coordination and as much help as you need on the run up to your day. ACCOMMODATION
The 17th century traditional Lake District farmhouse, is utterly charming and has been renovated with a homely yet luxury style. Brimming with cool quirks, interiors and a couple of giant bath tubs, you’ll have six beautiful ensuite bedrooms for you and your guests. Staying for two wonderful nights, you’ll even enjoy a delicious home cooked breakfast both mornings to set you up for the extra big days ahead and you’re welcome to extend your stay too. For the rest of your party there’s loads of local accommodation, to suit all budgets and group sizes. Handy for Keswick, Cockermouth and the dramatic Northern Lakes of Buttermere, Crummock, Loweswater & Ennerdale, your guests wil also be treated to a wealth of hiking, lake swimming, awesome adventures and breathtaking beauty.

Amazing Lake District Barn Venue And a Great Team!
The venue itself… wow! Set within the beautiful backdrop of the North Lakes, the lovable old barn really was lovable. It hardly needs any decoration as it has been put together so beautifully. It’s super easy to add your own spin on it to make it truly your own. Once the evening gets going the atmosphere is incredible, such a fun space to throw a party!
Speaking of making it your own, signature cocktails were a real winner for us! We also selected from their amazing beer packages that get put on ice in their old farm wheelbarrow for people to grab. The option to put a bit of cash behind the bar (both of them) was well received. Low Hall also had great selection of wines and a fantastic bar menu that kept everyone happy. All of this kept our guests merry and the party flowing long in to the night. Such a great set up - it had raving reviews from all!
The ceremony spaces (all three of them) are gorgeous. We went for the woodland, just the most beautiful and natural space, it felt very intimate and private, whilst also so magical, pretty, and connected with nature.
The farmhouse accommodation was perfect! We used it for the wedding party (bride, groom, bridesmaids, and groomsmen). An amazing place to prepare for the day, and soak it all in afterwards. It was so difficult to pick which room we wanted as they were all so lovely and well put together! And the breakfasts were to die for!
The team also worked so well with all of the vendors to make the day seamless, we hardly had to lift a finger other than giving some creative direction!
Low Hall gives you the most beautiful canvas to decorate with your own style, you are supported all the way through by the team, and the day is co-ordinated amazingly. We would recommend it to anyone and will recommend it to everyone!

Best day ever
The setting is absolutely stunning, surrounded by beautiful views that made for amazing photos and a calm, peaceful atmosphere. The ceremony room felt homely and intimate, which was exactly what we wanted – a space that felt like us.
The rooms were lovely, and the bridal suite was simply stunning – full of character and charm, with every little detail thought through. And the breakfast was mint – honestly one of the best we’ve had!
We honestly can’t wait to return. Low Hall will always be a special place for us.

Fran, Ben, Rosie and Hazel answer all questions and provide solutions for anything you have issue with. They’re always on email and respond quickly!
They also have a great working relationship with many local venders who always speak highly of LowGall which makes it even more wonderful.
The day is orchestrated perfectly, and Ben and Fran act as your wedding coordinators, making sure everything runs to time and making sure everyone is where they need to be, when they need to be there.
The venue itself is just beautiful. Rustic and modern at the same time which made it perfect for the vibe we were after.
Accommodation is also super close for guests! Which makes it’s really easy for people to get to and from the venue.
The two bars are perfect for enabling people to drink as much or as little as they like, and the space the have is perfect for large or small weddings
We really wish we could do it all again! 5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
