This stunning property was built in 1650 and has retained many original features, combined with elegant modern touches, to offer a warm and inviting atmosphere for to-be-weds. Facilities and Capacity
New House Farm provides a picturesque location for couples to host a heartfelt wedding ceremony. This ancient barn has been expertly restored and features original exposed wood beams and traditional touches to enhance the ambience of your vow exchange. This space is suitable for up to 130 of your nearest and dearest to witness your commitment. For those wishing to host a more intimate ceremony, the country house itself can be utilised for ceremonies of up to 20 people. Afterwards, guests can enjoy a relaxed drinks reception in the open air. The surrounding scenery of this property provides a breathtaking backdrop for wedding photos while your guests sip champagne and mingle. The lower floor of the barn is a beautiful blank canvas upon which you can imbue your individual wedding vision. This space features a professional kitchen to allow for a convenient catering experience. The barn can be decorated with candles, fairy lights, and any decor you desire to create your chosen aesthetic for your wedding breakfast and evening reception.

A special thank you has to go to Hazel, who went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. She was calm, organised, and reassuring throughout — not only on the wedding day itself, but during all the planning stages too. We truly felt looked after from start to finish.

The perfect wedding venue
Hazel, Gina and the rest of the team were just incredible, nothing was too much to ask and they made it run like clockwork!
We needed to iron some shirts and asked to use the iron but instead Hazel insisted that she would do it for us, there were countless other instances where Hazel went above and beyond to make our day not only as memorable as possible but as stress free!
Personally we found New House Farm is brilliantly priced considering everything you get, Hazels expertise and knowledge is simply priceless!
The bar staff and drinks were fantastic, if you are having cocktails at your wedding we recommend the solero!
We couldn't have imagined getting married anywhere else it was just simply perfect!

Beautiful location (no matter what the weather was doing)!
Despite the inevitable winter rain on the day, the venue and it's amazing surroundings still shone through and was a perfect backdrop. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend New House Farm to any couple as a dream location to tie the knot!

The perfect venue for our perfect day!
The service we received was second to none, the whole team put their all into making our day even more special! We literally had the most perfect day in our favourite place! The photos and video sum up the wedding and new house farm provides the perfect back drop from them all!
With being such close driving distance to crummock water we were able to get some amazing photos and videos!

Hi, I'm Hazel, the owner and founder of New House Farm!
I aquired the property back in 1990 and have spent the last thirty or so years turning what was once a working dairy farm into a magical venue for couples to come and say 'I do'.
I live onsite with my trusty whippet, Henry and am always around to assist with your needs. Having worked in the industry for so long, I'm able to provide a wealth of knowledge to help make your special day truly unique!
Hey, I'm Gina!
I joined the team back in 2019 as a saturday girl. Cut to five or so years later and I'm now a full time team lead!
I'm your sparkly fairy on hand to ensure your wedding day runs like magic!
When I'm not busy working you'll find me exploring the world with my boyfriend!
Hi, I'm Hazel's son-in-law, George. You'll spot me from time to time helping out both alongside Hazel and in her absence.
From cooking breakfasts, steaming dresses to pouring drinks.. I'm on hand to assist in ensuring your wedding day runs smoothly!
