Got married July the 4th, 2024 at New House Farm and it was an absolutely PERFECT experience from start to end. My partner and I live abroad in Chicago so knew planning a Lake District wedding remotely might be a challenge but Hazel and the New House team made it so incredibly easy. We had calls with a few other venues who very inflexible and immediately felt a sense of relief when we FaceTimed with Hazel- she made it clear from the beginning it was our day and her and her team were there to support whatever type of wedding we wanted. The recommended vendor list was very comprehensive and made planning so much less stressful. We simply had the best wedding we could have asked for and were told by multiple friends and family that it was the best wedding they had attended, in large part to the stunning venue and welcoming staff. Hazel, Gina and the rest of the team were just incredible, nothing was too much to ask and they made it run like clockwork!
We needed to iron some shirts and asked to use the iron but instead Hazel insisted that she would do it for us, there were countless other instances where Hazel went above and beyond to make our day not only as memorable as possible but as stress free!
Personally we found New House Farm is brilliantly priced considering everything you get, Hazels expertise and knowledge is simply priceless!
The bar staff and drinks were fantastic, if you are having cocktails at your wedding we recommend the solero!

My partner and I got married at New House Farm in December and we couldn't have imagined a better venue. Hazel and her team were so helpful and reassuring throughout the planning and were so adaptable to make sure we could run the wedding we wanted in the way we wanted it! Hazel was a wonderful host and went above and beyond on the morning of the big day to make sure myself and the bridal crew were all fed and caffeinated, and the rest of the team looking after us ran everything so wonderfully, there expertise alleviated so much potential stress so we could just enjoy the moment.
Despite the inevitable winter rain on the day, the venue and it's amazing surroundings still shone through and was a perfect backdrop. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend New House Farm to any couple as a dream location to tie the knot!

We cannot recommend New House Farm enough. The scenery is stunning - all of our guests commented on how beautiful it is. It is in such a gorgeous part of the Lake District. As soon as we turned up to view this venue we knew straight away it was the one for us. There is no set package meaning we could make our wedding exactly how we wanted it and it was completely individual and unique. Hazel is so amazing at her job, so professional and friendly and will help with anything she can to ensure your day runs smoothly. When we were planning our wedding she was always just a phone call or email away and she gave us great advice every time. She is truly an expert and we can’t thank her enough.

From the minute we saw this venue we knew we had to get married here. For anyone who loves the Lake District this is a must, the scenery cannot be beaten! Since the wedding all we have had are compliments for how amazing the venue was!

The service we received was second to none, the whole team put their all into making our day even more special! We literally had the most perfect day in our favourite place! The photos and video sum up the wedding and new house farm provides the perfect back drop from them all!

With being such close driving distance to crummock water we were able to get some amazing photos and videos!

My husband and I got married here a couple of weeks ago and we couldn't have chosen a more stunning venue! The views and surroundings are just amazing, Hazel, who owns New House Farm is great! From the planning of our wedding, she helped us with suppliers and nothing was too big of an ask for her. The day before, day of and day after our wedding she was there and made sure everything went smoothly to plan. If you're looking for a beautiful venue in the Lake District, then New House Farm is the place for you!

New House Farm is the most amazing venue! From the very first time we visited , we knew it was the perfect place for us to get married. We had our ceremony in the newly built ‘Cow Shed’, a beautiful room with a stunning backdrop of the mountains and fields. The lawn and grounds were perfect for drinks, canapés and lawn games after the ceremony. We had our wedding breakfast and evening reception in the Hayloft, which just looked magical all decorated with fairy lights. One of the best things about the venue is the people. Every single member of staff at New House Farm was so friendly and helped to make our day perfect! We especially have to thank Hazel, who truly is a Wonder Woman! As soon as we met Hazel, we immediately felt at ease and welcomed. She was so enthusiastic and never stopped! She was there to help us every step of the way. Everything about the venue was perfect and we had the most amazing day! So many guests commented on how fabulous the venue was. We loved that we were able to completely personalise every part of our wedding, making it unique to us. Everyone at New House Farm helped our day to run smoothly and we can’t thank them enough! We would 100% recommend New House Farm if you’re looking for a beautiful venue with stunning views and the most friendly and fun atmosphere.

Beyond beautiful setting and grounds with a lovely venue to marry inside.

The only thing that let us down was a few minor details about alcohol wedding favours, a speaker for the aisle and the cake being left out over night.

Other than that, it was perfect. Staff were on hand throughout and made it so easy for us.

There are not enough words to express how much thanks we want to give to Hazel and her team at New House Farm!

We could not have asked for a better day, perfect location, helpful staff and even the sun shone down on us.

Hazel went above and beyond to ensure the venue and accommodation was immaculate and assisted where required for two demanding brides, striking the perfect balance of being there just enough without being overbearing. The next morning, nothing was too much trouble-even a cappuccino first thing.

Just to note you need to get your own suppliers for everything including styling/dressing the barn which they will provide a list of trusted suppliers to choose from. This is where you can tailor your day to your vision. They have fully equipped kitchen for all your caterers needs. The accommodation is beautiful and was vital to have by the venue for us and the bridal party.

We cannot thank you enough and for all the assistance you’ve given to us since. We are evidence of the fact that Hazel cares deeply about each and every couple both before, during and after the big day. We highly recommend New House Farm and only wish we could relive our special day again!

We booked our wedding at New House Farm just before lockdown came in 2020! We fell in love with the venue immediately, it was just what we wanted. The new ceremony barn was getting built when we 1st viewed, when we went again to see it we were blown away! To say the next 2 years were a bit nerve wrecking would be an understatement. But Hazel was always on hand to keep us updated and settle our nerves. We had some phone calls and countless emails over time checking in and discussing plans for the wedding, and what ifs/buts. Also on hand to recommend suppliers from tables, chairs, linen etc. Extremely luckily for us, our original wedding date went ahead – 12th March 2022. No restrictions necessary!!
What a weekend!!
Hazel kindly allowed us to drop some bits off on Thursday, then we arrived on the Friday morning ready for the best weekend. We had guests arriving at the venue and we had also booked Scale Hill, which is owned by Hazel’s family – definitely recommend booking this too!! The rooms are amazing! Even though we were here, there and everywhere and multiple people coming and going Hazel was so friendly and accommodating to everyone, and little Henry was an added bonus. The most cuddly, friendly little pooch!
All the rooms at New House Farm are fantastic, we struggled to decide which to sleep in!!
Having a same sex marriage we wanted to keep the surprise of seeing one another until walking down the aisle and Hazel was amazing at helping us do this, helping with timings, meeting of the registrars etc. She was just so helpful with every aspect! Keeping us topped with prosecco too!
Our day was absolutely perfect, it went like a dream and the blink of an eye. We always wanted a laid back wedding, not rushing around and timed to a certain itinerary and think Hazel helped with this massively. We disappeared for an hour or so to get some pictures by the lake with Spike (do it!! We loved this). When we got back the drinks were flowing, guests were chatting and laughing. Was absolutely perfect!
We sat down to eat and do speeches about 4pm and Hazel and the team kept all the wine flowing, toasting drinks topped up too! Coming from a family of talkers our speeches lasted a little longer than expected and our night guests were due to arrive but Hazel came up with a quick plan which worked a treat – it meant we got to greet all of our evening guests one by one and everyone have a little mingle. The night went without any problems, everyone dancing and music playing! Hazel even letting us know the bus had arrived and giving those guests a good kick up the backside to not miss the bus.
Hazel is such a bubbly, chatty character that I think she will get on with everyone, you can tell she absolutely loves her job and it shows! We cannot fault our day, it truly was the best day of our life, we loved every minute. If we could go and do it all again we would, and we would not change one thing!! We will back on our wedding anniversaries to try out the amazing baths and bag some Wainwrights!
