We had the all inclusive wedding package and it was faultless. Our wedding went better than we had planned an expected.
The beauty of the all inclusive is being able to have everything catered for BUT still being able to inject your own personality into it if you so wished. We did put our spin on things and added our own touches, and all was just taken care of by the wonderful staff, nothing was ever too much trouble.
We had exclusivity from the Friday morning until Sunday morning, all our guests arrived on the Friday with a full buffet in the evening and bar open until late, a great way for friends and family to get to know each other before our big day! The following morning there was a hot buffet breakfast for all and our guests were able to spend the morning as they wished before being able to have a more relaxed ‘getting ready’
Our 2 wedding planners, Sarah and Kate, were amazing from start to finish and took the stress out of the day for us and made our whole day flow smoothly with not one hiccup. A special shout out to Dan as well, you kept us both hydrated throughout the day. 🥂
The food was amazing and all our guests complimented on how lovely and tasty the food was, beautiful presentation and just enough, although so pleased that the sticky toffee pudding was huge piece!
The bedrooms are all elegantly decorated with super comfy beds.
Another hot buffet breakfast for everyone before heading home, a great set up for the long journey home to Cambridgeshire.

We opted for the Just Us package and had a few close family members present with us and our puppy. He really enjoyed himself. The only place that he wasn’t allowed to go into was one part of the dining room. The hotel staff rearranged the furniture so that he would be allowed to stay with us in the other part of the dining area on our first night the room was lovely and spacious and the food was delicious. We were lucky that we got to do our wedding ceremony outside the grounds were immaculate with beautiful flowers and a perfectly kept lawn. We had a beautiful ceremony and the staff were extremely helpful and supportive throughout our stay if you want a small package Wedding then I would really recommend this because it was perfect for us. We didn’t have the stress and hassle of organising a big wedding. We didn’t have to think about a lot of things that people have to consider when they are planning their own event because the very experienced team took care of all of those things for us.

Briery Wood is such a beautiful venue and the staff were brilliant from the moment we booked to the end of the wedding day. Every single staff member was amazing, the food was gorgeous and the atmosphere on our day was just what we wanted. Special shout out to Teagan for being such an amazing wedding coordinator and going above and beyond for us 🤍

We eloped just us and our two daughters. It was all about special moments uniting the family together and this venue helped us put it all together. Nothing was a bother and we were made to feel at home.

We held our wedding here on 4th May 2024 with the All Inclusive package. This is a beautiful hotel and we chose it as it just felt 'right' as soon as we walked through the doors and met our wedding coordinator Sarah who was superb from start to finish. We loved that we had exclusive use of the hotel so everyone could just let their hair down and relax. All the staff worked hard to ensure we had the best experience - nothing was too much trouble. The food was fabulous - so many guests mentioned how good it was. The hotel rooms are super nice and spotlessly clean. We could not have wished for better place to have our special day. Everyone had the time of their life and I would not have changed a thing except the weather maybe! but even the drizzle could not put a dampener on a perfect day .

We really lucked out with Briery Wood as our wedding venue. It was important to us to have an all-inclusive component, both for ease of planning and to help us stay within our allotted budget. We used their Just Us package and included 7 of our closest family members, giving us the all-inclusive component in the best way. The staff could not have been more kind and attentive, and their wedding team specifically were fast responders to every question. The food was also SO delicious, and the rooms are just so beautiful with special finishing touches. Wishing we could have our special day here again and again!

Briery Wood surpassed our expectations on absolutely every level! It’s an unassuming, idilic relaxing little haven that we can’t wait to revisit time and time again.

We stayed at Briery Wood during the Bank holiday weekend at the end of May for our small, intimate wedding.

Sarah and her team were wonderful from our initial email enquiry right through to our departure the afternoon following the ceremony. Their dedication and genuine passion to deliver us our perfect wedding and impeccable service was exceptional. Sarah was incredibly helpful and her kind, organised approach was very reassuring, especially since we were a 3-4 hour drive away.

We arrived feeling tired and frustrated after a long journey due traffic delays. But, within ten minutes of checking in we felt like different people!

The fabulous feeling and amazing atmosphere at Briery Wood are something that money just can’t buy. It’s the wonderfully dedicated staff and talented team that make it the exceptionally special place that it is.

We received a lovely welcome and our room was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. We stayed in Garden Room 1 which opens out onto a small private courtyard with beautiful views of the landscaped gardens and lovely pavilion where we held our ceremony the next day.

We’d originally intended to take our dog along for the weekend but given the long journey in warm weather we made other plans. We fully intend to revisit and take him with us because the hotel is very welcoming and accommodating for dogs. Although I’m a dog owner myself I am quite particular and a bit of a clean freak! I was genuinely impressed at the cleanliness and freshness of the room, especially given that it was one of the rooms which allows pets to stay.

The food, oh the FOOD! you won’t leave here hungry. Our only regret is that our appetites weren’t big enough to sample all of the delicious options on offer!
I have several health conditions and dietary requirements, but the staff and talented chefs could not have been more helpful, understanding and accommodating. It was very reassuring that the team were so knowledgeable, and I was able to relax and enjoy the delicious and beautiful dishes without worry.

On the first evening we ate from the Grill Menu which was fantastic.

On our Wedding Day we thoroughly enjoyed the 7 Course Taster Menu which was absolutely exceptional!! We loved the whole unique experience, dining along with our guests in our own private room. All dishes were beautifully presented and tasted even better than they looked and smelled!!
(The evening beforehand we were shown the menu as the chef had thoughtfully and carefully selected several suggestions and substitution options to cater the menu to my necessary dietary requirements).

As if that wasn’t enough, we also had Afternoon Tea included in our package. We’re rather partial to an Afternoon Tea and Briery Wood’s was by far the best we’ve had! It offered an excellent blend of (all handmade) savoury and sweet options including sandwiches, warm Welsh Rarebit and sausage rolls, filled cheese scones, panna cotta, cream cakes and scones and so SO much more! (We couldn’t finish everything so boxed up to take home with us!).

I could keep on writing lots more about our wonderful stay. A HUGE thank you to all of the amazing team; Sarah for helping to make our wedding absolutely perfect. Matthew and Martin for taking such good care of us during our stay. Also, to Kasia, Sona, Richard and the rest of the team who made our stay as wonderful as it was. Thank you again to the chefs and kitchen team for the delicious food and catering to our needs.

Nothing was ever too much trouble and the whole team were outstanding. Thank you so much Briery Wood!! We will be back! x

We eloped to Briery Wood on the 31/08/21 with the just us package which was everything and more than what we expected. The staff are super friendly and make the whole experience absolutely magical. The food is out of this world and the hotel and grounds are picture perfect. We were lucky enough to get a sunny day so we had our ceremony outside in the gazebo which we got to decorate ourselves exactly how we wanted it. We didn’t have to compromise because we eloped at Briery Wood, truly magical.

Thank you to everyone who made our wedding so perfect. I remember at the beginning of 2018 when we first visited the hotel looking at venues, the second we stepped inside Briery we knew it was where we were going to celebrate the most important day of our lives. The main thing that stood out then and still does now is every member of staff who works there. You are all so friendly and go out of your way to help and make guests feel at home. Special mention to Tracey & Dan who were fantastic on the day and were on hand throughout to ensure everything went smoothly. All my guests commented on how nice the hotel was, how amazing the food was and how nice the staff were. You really did make the day so perfect so thank you so much.

My husband & I married at Briery Wood on the 19th December with the Just Us package. It was the most wonderful, perfect experience made even more amazing by the wonderful staff who not only were our witnesses but also went above and beyond to make our day special. Our evening meal was outstanding and we will definitely be back for a meal again. Would recommend anyone marrying/staying at this wonderful hotel but have to say the staff make it memorable as they are so lovely.

We got married here at the weekend and what an amazing time we had! All of our guests left happy and are still contacting us to say how wonderful the staff were, how amazing the food was, how beautiful the surroundings were. We had the entire hotel to ourselves all weekend, it's a beautiful home from home. Roger and Lisa were incredible to work with from the very beginning, also David, Danny, and Madga were all wonderful too. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Beautiful memories to last a lifetime! We can’t thank the staff at Briery Wood enough for making our Wedding weekend in September so special! The planning and organisation, room allocation, food, venue, grounds, cleanliness, friendliness ......I could go on and on, was all AMAZING! All our guests thoroughly enjoyed the day/ weekend and we just want to do it all again. We want to also say a special thank you to Roger (manager) and Lisa (wedding co-ordinator) for going the extra mile to make our day perfect. We had around 70 guests at our wedding and the venue size was just perfect. I can’t recommend the Briery Wood enough as a wedding venue and we can’t wait to stay with you again
