We had an exclusive wedding at lusty glaze (30.08.25) and I could not have been happier with how everything went!
Our wedding planner nicole was amazing from the start and she is a real asset to the business both with her meticulous planning skills but also her infectious personality (just the type of person you want around when planning the happiest day of your life!) There was great communication throughout the year which made everything less stressful. You don't need a lot of decor at this venue as it's beautiful but the budget friendly decorations i did buy were arranged on the table beautifully. We were hoping to get married on the beach and I dreaded the idea of getting married inside as I'd convinced myself I didn't like the inside set-up. When the rain didn't allow us to get married outside, I came away thinking I'm glad I was forced to hold the ceremony inside, it was so beautiful and so much better than I pictured it (I say this so future brides know if it doesn't go to plan - it's ok!) We were lucky enough for the sun to come out around 5 o clock and the venue were brilliant at moving things outside. There was a lovely atmosphere between guests, suppliers and lusty staff. Ben, who was working, was also absolutely lovely. The co-ordinators really have a good grip on the flow of the day! The food and cocktails were delicious too!
A few little tips I have for future brides -
If you book an exclusive wedding and don't book the cottage and chalet, they can be booked by other people and them guests are allowed certain sections of the beach. This is in the contract but I didn't read it properly. It certainly didn't effect the day but just worth noting if it is something that bothers you or if you want the accommodation and don't book in time!
The pods, you have to book the pods yourself and then hire them out to your guests. This was one of the more stressful parts of planning and we needed one pod but you have to hire them all. When I finally filled them all, the overall price of the pods had gone up by £500. I explained the situation and the venue did meet us in the middle with the price but I would say if you can it's worth paying the 50% deposit when you get the initial quote and filling them after.
Guests with mobility issues - i wasn't going to get married at lusty due to the stairs but they had recommended a company that could get guests up and down. I booked the wedding without contacting them and when I did contact them, the price was extremely high and you had to give specific pick up and drop off times before the day which was difficult for us to do and my mobility-challenged guests agreed to tackle the stairs themselves in the end. The company has reasons they charge this much so I'm not bad-mouthing them. I would just advise contacting them before booking if you are relying on their services! :)

None of the above are negative points, just considerations and tips for future couples!

Overall it was an amazing day with many people telling me it was the best wedding they'd been to. I feel so lucky to have had our big day at this incredibly special venue!

We had an amazing wedding. We had our first date here and we came full circle by being married here.

The wedding team of Nicole, Naomi and Faye were friendly and responsive from the start. They have a lot of experience knowing what makes their venue work for any style of wedding .

Nicole was our point person in the lead up and on the day and couldn't have done more, always calm and warm to work with.

Helen, the bride was able to get ready on the wedding morning in the beachside cottage having hair and makeup done while looking at the sea.
Friends and family gathered on the beach sofas.
We had a 4pm service with the beach in the background and our choice of music and readings.
Confetti greeted the married couple as they made their way onto the beach.
Then Pimms on the beach with canapés before an excellent wedding breakfast.
As well as cake cutting and first dance fun we had sparklers on the beach.

The Lusty team were professional but friendly and our day could not have gone any better.

Where do i start.. Lusty glaze gave us the most amazing wedding day and more than we could ever dream of in early may this year.
Wedding coordinators faye and Naomi were incredible from the start - always quick to respond to emails and guiding us through every process with lots of tips. Our initial accommodation cancelled on us at the last minute, lusty accomodated us at the wonderful cottage and chalet for the whole week after the wedding - we were so happy and i'm glad we did this, during our time we met the wonderful staff and of course the gorgeous resident spaniel chewie.

We had exclusive hire of the beach and hired the pods for our guests. We got married on the beach just- WOW! It was wonderful walking towards the beach and there was an audience from the top of the steps - what a feeling!

From the fabulous bar staff to the wonderful cleaning lady, the people of lusty catered for every need and went the extra mile for any requirement we had.

On our wedding day everything was incredibly organised, the venue was decorated beautifully by faye, the florist and staff. The food was delicious and We had the most stunning sunset for our photographs.

Faye coordinated perfectly with no pressure gently guiding us throughout the day. A special shout out to her - shes such a beautiful kind soul inside and out. Nothing was too much trouble for her.

Lusty glaze you will always hold a special place in our hearts, alot of our friends said "it was the best wedding they had ever been too" We cant boast enough about our fabulous day and how lucky we were.

We cant wait to come back and celebrate our anniversary ♥️

You couldn't choose a better wedding venue! We originally booked our wedding at Lusty Glaze to take place in 2020, unfortunately due to COVID 19 this didn't take place. The venue were so accommodating to change the date until we could have the wedding we wanted with no restrictions. They were so understanding and even sent us a card and flowers for our original wedding date. When our wedding finally took place we couldn't ask for a better day! Staff were so helpful, friendly and professional and went above and beyond to make our day perfect! On the day staff were available but not in the way of our special moments and knew exactly when to intervene if necessary. Would 100% recommend this venue and would do it all again if I could.

We got married at Lusty Glaze Beach and had the most fantastic day. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our day was everything we dreamed of. We had to organise it all from Essex and it couldn’t have been an easier process. Getting married here was the best decision we ever made, if you’re debating it, just do it, it’s so unique and there is nothing that’ll beat your toes in the sea and sand on your wedding day! Not to mention the stunning photos you’ll be left with! So do it, you won’t regret it :-)

Lusty Glaze is as amazing as it sounds. Our wedding day was such a magical experience thanks to all at Lusty Glaze. They were friendly yet professional throughout. Any questions we had were answered quickly. Thank you Lusty Glaze for making our day perfect!

Cannot thank or recommend enough. What a beautiful place and amazing people. We organised our original date for May 2018. We visited the venue 2 years before and instantly loved its chilled out feel and the fact it is very family and dog friendly. This was a huge bonus. We were bringing 80 guests from Sheffield so it ticked all the boxes. After booking, everything was done via email or phone. Working with their approved suppliers we sorted everything with no fuss. We just had to get there. Naomi and the team were so helpful throughout. Sadly a health scare and emergency surgery the morning of the wedding caused a cancellation and postponement. Which again was done with support, care and no fuss. Helping sort all suppliers out and support our families. Our date moved to August 2019 and it was the best day ever. Very emotional but I will always be grateful and thankful to all. Lusty Glaze will always be a special place for us and our families. We return whenever we can. If you haven't booked yet. Don't hang about. You won't regret it. It was even beautiful in the rain and we all enjoyed a paddle after the ceremony. Especially the dogs and kids.

I cannot recommend Lusty Glaze enough for a wedding venue. It exceeded all my hopes and dreams. From the moment we sat down with the wedding coordinator to discuss it as an option to having the time of our lives dancing the night away it was an amazing experience. They pretty much take care of everything! The support and experience they offer is great.
It couldn’t have looked more stunning, absolutely dripping in fairy lights. Glowing! The views are amazing whatever the weather and we had alllll the weathers! I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat. We will definitely renew our vows there just so we get to do it again! Huge love to the whole team xx

My new wife Sally and I recently got married on the gorgeous Lusty Glaze Beach and can't do justice to just how perfect the day was! Lisa and the team bent over backwards and made everything run so smoothly it took all the stress and worry out of everything.

The venue is stunning and was exactly what we were hoping for; a classy, chilled beach venue that created such an amazing atmosphere that it lead to countless people saying it was the best wedding they'd ever been to and that the venue was the loveliest they'd ever seen. Let alone the response to the food, which was first class!

We were also lucky enough to book the beach cottage to stay in for the weekend, which just made the wedding a perfect bubble, away from the world and was extremely romantic!

Thank you Lusty Glaze, we can't wait to return and celebrate anniversaries back at the beach for many years to come!!!

Such an amazing place to get married , we got married here 31 July 2017 the day was perfect , the wedding team was so helpful we from derby so organising a wedding in Cornwall was a bit stressful but they were on hand at all times with all my emails that i kept sending !!
The food was great but more than anything the views are out of this world I could not of wished for a more perfect day , look forward to going back for a meal on our first anniversary x

We got married at Lusty Glaze 1 month ago today and had the most perfect dream wedding day even though it was grey and rainy!
I might be biased but Lusty Glaze in my opinion is the most beautiful and unique wedding venue in the UK and i am so glad we picked this incredible setting to celebrate our big day. We wanted a day that made everyone feel as though they were on holiday, that was truly Cornish and was relaxed but still felt like a wedding and that's exactly what we got! :) We had our ceremony at St Merryn Church and then headed to Lusty Glaze for our reception for the rest of the day, the second i walked in and saw all the tables, flowers, cake and little touches exactly as i planned i was speechless and had tears in my eyes. I'm a total perfectionist and Lisa and Naomi completely understood what i wanted and went above and beyond to ensure our day was as perfect as i had planned!
All of our family and friends were so impressed with the location and setting and we all agree that the food was amazing too! I even had some guests telling me it was the best wedding they'd ever been to!
Thank you so much for helping to make our day the best day of our lives, i only wish we could do it all over again!!!

We had the most amazing wedding day at Lusty Glaze that will stay with us for a lifetime.

Lisa & Naomi were nothing short of awesome & made the whole process so easy I often felt if I should have done more. This was even more important as we live in London & only had limited availability to come to Newquay before the wedding.

From start to finish we had a truly amazing experience & although we can't get married at Lusty again we can pop in for dinner when we are in Newquay to reminisce over a large glass of red, a hearty meal whilst taking in the view that it etched on our memories forever.
