Polhawn Fort is a breathtaking & historic wedding venue situated in the southeast corner of Cornwall in Rame, England. Tucked away along the western tip of the Rame Peninsula, this breathtaking Napoleonic fort looks out over a dramatic landscape. Below it, waves crash against the rugged and rocky Cornish coastline, reaching all the way to the Lizard Peninsula. Around the estate, verdant lawns filled with wildflowers blanket the grounds. In this secluded and sophisticated venue, couples are invited to celebrate their momentous occasion while also being able to relax and enjoy some of our various wellnes activities like Wild swimming, Sauna, Sound Healing & Yoga.
Facilities and Capacity
Polhawn Fort is reached by a drawbridge, which only adds to its ancient yet timeless feel. Once you cross the drawbridge, you can crest the spiral staircase to the Grand Napoleonic Hall. This hall features vaulted ceilings, stunning views of the Peninsula, and seating for up to 100 people. You can host your ceremony here, in our Ocean Room, which is best for intimate celebrations of 30 people. You also have the option of holding your ceremony in The Summer House or on our manicured lawns, where you will enjoy the beautiful seascape and calls of the seabirds. If you prefer your wedding breakfast indoors, you will be serenaded by the crackling of fire logs and bathed in warm candlelight.

Meet the team
I have worked at Polhawn Fort since 1998 and I am often the first point of contact for wedding clients and registrars. My day-to-day activities include managing viewing days at the Fort, meeting prospective couples and overseeing all sales enquiries.
I am the Fort's green-fingered gardener and have been maintaining the grounds at Polhawn Fort since 2016. My passion for planting has proved invaluable throughout the years, providing creative input into the development of new garden areas for clients to enjoy throughout the seasons.
I joined the Polhawn family in 2012 straight out of Sixth Form to become an assistant to the maintenance team. When I am not on the tools, I keep myself busy with meeting registrars, hosting tours and assisting couples with their wedding day preparations.
