Polhawn Fort is a historic wedding venue situated in the southeast corner of Cornwall in Rame, England. Tucked away along the western tip of the Rame Peninsula, this breathtaking Napoleonic fort looks out over a dramatic landscape. Below it, waves crash against the rugged and rocky Cornish coastline, reaching all the way to the Lizard Peninsula. Around the estate, verdant lawns filled with wildflowers blanket the grounds. In this secluded and sophisticated venue, couples are invited to celebrate their momentous occasion.
Facilities and Capacity
Polhawn Fort is reached by a drawbridge, which only adds to its ancient yet timeless feel. Once you cross the drawbridge, you can crest the spiral staircase to the Grand Napoleonic Hall. This hall features vaulted ceilings, stunning views of the Peninsula, and seating for up to 100 people. You can host your ceremony here, or in the Emperor's Room, which is best for intimate celebrations of 30 people. You also have the option of dining al fresco in The Summer House, where you will enjoy the beautiful seascape and calls of the seabirds. If you prefer your wedding breakfast indoors, you will be serenaded by the crackling of fire logs and bathed in warm candlelight.
Weddings at Polhawn Fort are entirely bespoke. This means that you can decorate however you desire throughout the different spaces. All-inclusive packages come with three-night stays over the weekend, or two- to four-day midweek breaks. The on-site accommodations can sleep 16 in beds and eight more on sofa beds and zbeds. All the rooms are cosy and overlook the ocean. Here, you and your loved ones will enjoy an elegant and exclusive experience in one of the most romantic wedding venues in the UK.
