Planning your day
Your in-house wedding coordinator will be on hand every step of the way to make sure every dot is dotted and every cross is crossed. We will be there to get answers to the questions that matter most to you and give additional details based on our experience. We make it our business to make your planning fun and stress free.
Once everything is planned and the details are confirmed, we will make sure the operational teams have all the details they need to deliver your perfect day. We will also be there on the day to check over everything, meaning you can relax and enjoy your day knowing it is in good hands.

Wedding Menus and Drinks Packages
The Cumberland Hotel offers customizable food and drink packages, allowing you to create your menu with ease, and offer drinks throughout the day in your way. The team carefully sources the freshest ingredients from conscious suppliers to offer you the very best in traditional dishes and modern favourites. Once you have selected your wedding menu, we will invite you to attend a menu tasting with our culinary team to enjoy the items to be served on your special day.
When pairing wines, The Cumberland Hotel offers both old-world wines and contemporary classics. The full list of wines served can be found on our website, or you can request a copy of our list by emailing sales@oceanahotels.co.uk.
Through our experience planning and host weddings over the years, we have put together drinks packages to cover all the traditional moments. Capacity and Function Suites
The Cumberland Hotel can accommodated weddings of 10 to 200 guests, with bespoke offerings being available upon request. Depending on your expected guest numbers, one of our beautiful, character filled function suites will be yours for the day. You will also have use of a private cocktail reception suite, the hotel lounge bar, our Miami style lido deck and pool.
Once the celebrations have drawn to a close, you will also be able to make your way to your complementary honeymoon suite with a sea view (terms and conditions apply).

Hi, I’m Dom, and I’m proud to be the Sales & Events Coordinator across the beautiful Oceana Hotels here in Bournemouth — The Cumberland, The Suncliff, and Ocean Beach Hotel & Spa.
My journey into hospitality started behind the bar, where I quickly found a love for the buzz of working with people. While studying for my degree in Business and Management, I took an event management unit — and that’s where everything clicked. I realised how much I enjoyed the creativity, the organisation, and most of all, being part of such important, joyful moments in people’s lives.
Since then, I’ve worked my way up through different roles in the hotel, from bartender to Assistant Manager, and eventually into weddings and events — where I’ve really found my passion. Over the years, I’ve helped plan and deliver weddings of all shapes and sizes, from intimate dinners to elegant ballroom receptions.
I believe planning a wedding should feel exciting, not stressful. I’m here to guide each couple through the process, keep things running smoothly, and make sure their day feels truly personal and memorable. Every wedding is different, and I love getting to know each couple and bringing their vision to life.

With a flair for flawless planning and a true passion for creating unforgettable experiences, I like to think I jumped into the world of events and hit the ground running—booking and organizing my very first wedding within just three months of starting the role. Whether it’s a dreamy "I do" or a big corporate bash, my goal is to bring creativity, calm, and a can-do attitude to every event. I'm Lisa the Sales Manager for the three seafront hotels at Oceana Hotels and I have worked with the group for many years now. My passion has always been hospitality with my first part time job in a hotel when I was still at school and then going on to study Hospitality and Catering at Bournemouth & Poole College. I worked in most positions within different hotels/golf club and have gained years of experience that I brought to my current role. I really love my job and are lucky to meet so many wonderful guests. I pride myself on my friendly personality, great helpful organisation skills and my attention to detail. I build a relationship with all clients from our first enquiry/meeting and over the years many have become friends.
