Things To Do in Dorset

We had our wedding weekend at the beautiful carlton hotel on the 27th April 2024. All the hotel staff went above and beyond our expectations and our special day was flawess. All our guest comments on how, friendly, attentive and amazing hardworking every staff member was over the entire weekend. I would highly recommend having your wedding here the ceremony room is absolutely beautiful with sea views even if the weather isn't great the room is still big and bright. The food was excellent throughout the weekend and all guest had positive feedback. I would like ro make a special mention to Mark(special events manager) who organised our wedding from start to finish and how passionate he was ensuring our wedding went perfectly. He is a credit to the hotel.

We chose the Marine Theatre for a number of lovely reasons with it meaning something to us both separately but they really did make it mean something truly impossible to put into words. From the first time we met Gabi to on the day with Andy, who duty managed on the day, everyone we encountered was beyond brilliant and kept everything moving so efficiently (and seamlessly!). We will never be able to thank the Marine Theatre enough and we will always remember this sensational place and its people for what they did for us!

We cannot rate the pier highly enough, 5/5 stars just doesnt seem to do it justice. We decided to elope, just the two of us. There were just 5 weeks between deciding to get married and the big day itself. Amanda at the pier was quick to respond to every question and went above and beyond with her help and local knowlege. The pier provided the witnesses for us - thank you Carole and Amanda and created a timeless setting that was like something out of a novel. The money from weddings goes back into the restoration and up keep of the pier which is just perfect.
