Perfect food, staff are amazing and our wedding went without a single problem

Amazing service and gorgeous wedding venue! I love Hotel du Vin. It’s so elegant and packed with character with genuinely, friendly and helpful staff. We recently got married at used HDV for our reception. We were blown away by the service. Especially Martina who ran the whole show from pre-planning, to setting up our decorations, to right at the end of the night where she was still ever present checking we were all well catered for. There was also Amara who was an absolute delight during the meal tending to everyone’s needs with grace and warmth. There we so many more great people though including the waiting staff, reception staff, bar staff and everyone else!

We recently celebrated our wedding at The Old Hall Ely in April, and it could not have been more perfect. We were fortunate with the weather, which allowed us to hold our ceremony in the beautiful outdoor pavilion, surrounded by the most stunning views. The rooms are absolutely charming, with every detail thoughtfully presented, and the entire venue is truly breathtaking. The staff were generally nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, they were attentive, friendly, and professional, making the day run smoothly and effortlessly. All of our guests commented on how lovely both the venue and the staff were, which really added to the joy of our special day. There were just a few minor mishaps along the way. We arrived the night before to find no cot in our room, despite having made the team aware of this since we booked while I was still pregnant. On the day itself, a communication slip-up meant the staff were at the opposite end of the venue with my bouquet, so I ended up walking down the aisle without it! They also briefly played the wrong playlist at the beginning of dinner. However, the team was quick to rectify things where they could, and their overall warmth more than made up for these small blips. The Old Hall Ely is a dream wedding venue, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect setting combined with outstanding service. *Photos by Embrace Photography

We had our wedding at The Holiday Inn Cambridge, and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. We opted to have both the ceremony and wedding breakfast at the hotel, and it was completely seamless. Maria (Wedding & Events) was incredibly helpful throughout the process - from being completely on it in terms of organisation, responsiveness to emails and even being there to open the door when I walked down the aisle - we felt really lucky to have that level of support and service. The food and drinks were great, and we received lots of compliments from our guests. Our drinks reception was also perfect The bridal room we stayed in was absolutely glorious and the added touches arranged by the hotel made it even more special. Overall, we could not recommend the venue more!

We absolutely loved the elegance and ambiance of Lanwades Hall for our wedding, and so many of our guests commented on just how beautiful the setting was. The venue offers excellent value for money, allowing us to access the property the afternoon before at no extra charge to drop items off, which made our preparations so much easier. The entire property is meticulously maintained, and our hosts were incredibly warm, personable, and accommodating throughout. They worked seamlessly with Portfolio Events to ensure the catering and service for our guests were completely flawless on the day. Having access to the stunning honeymoon suite on the night of our wedding was a wonderful highlight, and the beautiful grounds provided the perfect backdrop for some truly elegant photos. We deeply appreciated the thoughtful card and jar of honey gifted to us the morning after, and we would love to return for a picnic in the grounds one day in the future. A special shout-out to Elvis for helping make our experience so memorable: we couldn't recommend this venue highly enough!

On the day nothing was too much effort and the really went the extra mile. Loads of rooms to stay for all your guests and delicious food!

Thank you seems such an insignificant word to really relay to you all just how much we appreciate all that you and your staff did for us over the two days of our stay with you. From the beginning of us organising our wedding you have all been fantastic, but our wedding day with you and your staff was absolutely faultless. Your help and kindness is something both Alan and I will never forget. I for one would not of coped without you and Liam. He is an absolute star and absolutely did what he says he would do. Throughout the day and evening he constantly checked with me and Alan to make sure we were happy and relaxed and needed for nothing. Anything we asked was delivered within seconds and never once did he show that our requests were anything but the norm. He must and should be a valued member of your team he really is a special person. What a fantastic team. Our guests were overwhelmed by the setting and the effort that you all put in to ensure each and every one of them enjoyed our day. And you Avril I cannot thank you enough for all you had to put up with, with me asking stupid questions and getting you to pace the distance? What was I thinking lol and then when my beautiful daughters contacted you to help deliver what they wanted to do for us you went all out to ensure it happened I don’t think many people or places would of been so accommodating and to have my Dad there while I danced to his song will be something I will always treasure and will always be grateful to you for that.

Steven and I would like to say thank you so much for organising everything and taking the stress out of everything. The day was just what we wanted and more!! We couldn't have asked for a better venue, food and staff. A special thank you to Sergio for running around all day and making it so stress free for Steven and I. It made a huge difference not having to worry. Thanks again
