After extensive refurbishment, this historic coaching inn now boasts a beautiful 21st-century glass Atrium alongside an array of pristine sites. Just a 10-minute drive from Cambridge, this distinguished setting is an idyllic escape with a unique character moulded by over 700 years of history.
Facilities and Capacity
The Red Lion at Whittlesford Bridge is a rustic, pastoral setting ideal for destination weddings or country themes. Nestled in picturesque gardens, the venue contains modern comforts in easy harmony with its centuries-old aesthetic, suitable for weddings of up to 200. This includes 18 signature bedrooms, stylishly designed, and three private function rooms. The latest addition to the venue, the Atrium, is finely suited for a civil ceremony of up to 70 friends and family. Elsewhere, the beautiful Garden Room is the largest space, designed for elaborate wedding breakfasts and evening receptions for as many as 140. Bright and airy, this illuminated setting features charming views of the landscaped grounds. Couples will also have access to the stunning Bridal Suite, which includes chic furnishings and a bathtub for optimum relaxation.
At The Red Lion at Whittlesford Bridge, an experienced wedding coordinator and friendly operations team are on hand to attend to every element of the day. Their knowledge extends across understated intimate gatherings to large and lively parties for family and friends. From table decorations to red carpet arrival, every detail will be taken care of so couples can feel like VIPs at their own wedding. Inaudible music quality for service, let tab overrun
The honeymoon suite was ok but the toilet made a noise all night so if you do book it’s worth checking beforehand that everything is in a good state of repair.
Very Special Day
Just wanted to drop you a line to say our wedding was very enjoyable, thank you so much for making it such a special day and we couldn't fault anything, we thought it all went very well and we were both very pleased.
Please say a thank you to everyone, the food was excellent, the table decorations and layout worked really well and looked impressive and thanks for decorating our room, that was a very nice appreciated touch.
Overall the day was fantastic so thanks again for all your efforts.
Thank you all for your help regarding our recent wedding reception. The staff and food were absolutely fabulous! Lauren and Emma were especially great, getting thrown in at the deep and taking it in their stride. They made sure we felt at ease knowing everything was under control.
