The Gonville Hotel provides beautiful indoor and outdoor celebration spaces filled with character and elegance. Its welcoming wedding venues offer the perfect settings to come together with your loved ones. The Terrace invites up to 90 guests for wedding receptions. Boasting incredible views across Parkers Piece, it is a bright, airy room with modern amenities and comfortable features. The space includes air conditioning, tech facilities, and a private bar that can be stocked with decadent wines and refreshing beers for your celebration. The Artium is an opulent, open space with glass ceilings that let in plenty of natural light. It welcomes gatherings of up to 100 guests. The outdoor TeePee is located in the hotel's beautifully manicured private gardens. This all-weather tent hosts receptions of up to 120 guests. It offers a neutral canvas, allowing couples to personalise their event with their choice of florals and décor. The TeePee has its own bar, which guarantees plenty of delicious refreshments throughout your celebration. Tables, chairs, tablecloths, place cards, and dinnerware are available for each wedding, allowing couples to choose their preferred layout. PA systems, speakers, and microphones are also provided for your big day. Nice venue

Meet the team
Hi, I’m Abbie, the Weddings & Events Manager at The Gonville Hotel.
I have over five years of experience in weddings and events, having worked across hotels in both Melbourne, Australia, and Cambridge. I joined The Gonville in 2022 and have loved helping couples bring their wedding plans to life ever since.
My favourite part of planning weddings is seeing everything come together on the day. After months of getting to know a couple, hearing their ideas and helping with all the little details, there’s nothing better than seeing them smile, laugh and enjoy the day with their loved ones. Knowing that I’ve played even a small part in bringing together such an important day in someone’s life is incredibly rewarding.
One of my favourite things about The Gonville is the history and character behind the hotel. I love sharing the stories and little details that make the hotel so unique when showing couples around. But my absolute favourite space to show is our beautiful Secret Garden. Tucked away behind the hotel, it’s such a hidden gem, and I love seeing the surprise on couples’ faces when they discover it for the first time!
I feel very lucky to be part of such special moments and to help couples create memories they’ll treasure for years to come. I can't wait to meet you and help plan your special day!
