Hornington manor was an incredible venue for our wedding, the staff were brilliant and every guest said what a wonderful place it was!

Sandburn Hall was one of the first venues in and around York we had come across, and we instantly fell in love. After some more searching, we made an appointment and met up with Gabby who is one of the coordinators. She met us, showed us around, and discussed all the options. There was no hidden costs, everything was clearly laid out, and we knew what we could do. We didn't even need to look anywhere else - Sandburn was for us. After booking our big day, Katrina was allocated to us as our coordinator. She was so polite, friendly, personable, and professional. Every question we had quickly had an answer. The big day came, and she made sure it was a well-oiled machine. Everything was in place, and her team worked seamlessly behind the scenes. We are so very grateful to everyone at Sandburn for their exceptional execution of our happy day. Not one problem arose, and we highly recommend the venue to anyone who wishes to have their big day there too.

There are simply not enough words to do justice to how incredible The Normans were as a wedding venue. From the moment we first viewed the venue, right through to the final moments of our wedding day, Oliver, Sharon and the entire team made us feel like we were the most important people in the world. Planning a wedding can be a lot at times, but The Normans have perfected the balance of professionalism, organisation and genuine care. Nothing was ever too much trouble, no request felt too big or too small, and every question was met with patience, reassurance and expert advice. The venue itself is stunning, and even after multiple visits, still makes you feel a certain way. The beautifully restored barns, stunning grounds and thoughtful attention to detail create a setting that feels both incredibly special and completely relaxed at the same time. It's one of those rare venues that genuinely exceeds the expectations set by the photographs. What really sets The Normans apart, however, is the people. The team worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything ran seamlessly. They anticipated needs before we even knew we had them, managed suppliers effortlessly, and allowed us to spend the day entirely focused on enjoying ourselves and making memories with our loved ones. Oliver, who worked the day, ended up feeling like another member of the family by the day's end and that, as much as anything else, is testament to just how much he and the rest of the team took care of us on the day. The result was, without question, the best day of our lives. A massive shoutout too to their catering partners, Hog and Apple, who delivered a phenomenal dining experience. The food was exceptional from start to finish and weeks later our guests are still talking about it. Having attended plenty of weddings myself, it's not often the food becomes one of the stars of the show, but Hog and Apple achieved exactly that. If you're considering The Normans, stop looking and book it. We genuinely cannot imagine a better venue, team or experience. Just wish we could do it all again. A personal thank you to Oliver, Sharon and every member of the team. You didn't just host our wedding; you helped create memories that we will stick with us for the rest of our lives. We felt cared for, supported and celebrated every step of the way, and we'll always be grateful for the role you played in making our day so special.

Amazing place. Lodge is great venue for guests to stay. Barn is beautiful and unique. Sally Wade is so helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. Made our wedding a day to remember.

What an amazing venue! From the moment we first visited, we knew it was exactly the vibe we were looking for and the perfect place for our wedding. It ticked every box – a stunning interior, beautiful grounds with plenty of open space, a separate, gorgeous cocktail bar, and, although we didn't use them, a lovely getting-ready room and unique on-site accommodation. The venue itself is simply breathtaking. Every detail has been so thoughtfully considered that we hardly needed any extra décor and were more than happy to leave the styling in the capable hands of the team. Rachel, Will, and the whole team were incredible from start to finish. They were always on hand in the lead-up to the wedding, attentive without ever being overbearing, and thanks to their professionalism, everything ran so smoothly. We were able to relax and enjoy every single moment of our day. The food from F4D was absolutely delicious, and our guests couldn't stop talking about it. The atmosphere was the perfect blend of luxury and laid-back charm, making the whole day feel so special and unforgettable. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was, and every single person had nothing but praise for the entire experience. We honestly wish we could do it all again! We can't recommend Woodstock highly enough – it exceeded every expectation and gave us memories we'll treasure forever. Without a doubt, 11 out of 10 stars!

Woolas Barn is an incredible venue! From the moment we started searching for venues online we came across Woolas Barn and fell in love with this rustic venue. We attended an in person open day and loved every aspect of it, James was great at answering all of our questions, was there through every step and made sure our day went exactly how we planned. The ceremony room and breakfast room were perfect for a medium sized wedding, an intimate space with gorgeous rustic charm. The venue was perfect inside and out, so peaceful in a beautiful setting with everything you could ever need at the venue. It can be dressed up as much or as little as you want and still looks stunning. The catering company (Fusion) at the venue was exceptional, from the delicious tasting before the wedding to all the questions handled, nothing was ever too much and they ensured the day ran like clock work. The food was sensational and all our guests commented on how delicious the food was! If you are looking for a stunning rustic venue in Yorkshire, this is the place for you! Best day of our lives, thanks to this stunning venue and the wonderful staff.

We got married at Lodge Farm last weekend and couldn’t have been happier with our day. Kirsty was honestly amazing in fixing every little issue that came up without us even noticing! We had a few last minute no shows/ elderly family members who left before food but you could never tell on the table arrangements. We also had a few hiccups around the timing of food in the evening but she fixed it seamlessly. Everything felt so organised and calm and we hugely appreciate all of the effort on the day and with all the phone calls and guidance in the buildup! All of our guests had really good things to say about the venue and the staff! Will behind the bar was also fantastic - all the guests loved the cocktails and no one ever seemed to have an empty glass! It really made the night brilliant. Caroline was also amazing - she was so friendly and welcoming to everyone in the accommodation. The breakfast the next morning was a godsend! She stayed with us right up until we walked down the aisle and did an amazing job making sure we didn’t see each other, which we know was quite the task! We couldn’t recommend Lodge Farm more and are so grateful for their part in making our day everything we could have hoped for!

We cannot thank Sophie and her family/team enough for helping us have one of the very best days of our lives. When looking at wedding venues, we took this very seriously and saw 15(!) venues in/around York in three days. Barmbyfield stood out to us right away for how naturally beautiful the venue was and how incredibly welcoming Sophie was. She made us feel very comfortable when we were looking around and she was so openminded to all of our ideas - she made us feel important and that we were her focus. Throughout the process Sophie was responsive to all of our (many) emails and made sure we fully understood everything that was going to happen. We felt secure that she was switched on to everything we wanted and knew how to help give us our special day. The whole Barmbyfield team really cared about us and made sure our guests had a wonderful time - even shedding a quick tear during the ceremony! The venue itself is absolutely stunning for a wedding and the time you have for setup we found essential. Having two days before your wedding to make sure everything is just right is not something you realise how important it is until you need it! We were able to go to drinks with family and friends on the Friday night knowing everything was already exactly how we wanted it. Anything else that needed setting up on the day, Sophie was on hand to help and made things so straightforward. She took care of the music for the ceremony and guided us through the whole day. It was excellent to have so many distinct spaces throughout the day: the ceremony room which was beautiful and transformed into an evening room, the main barn which was so pretty and well set up for all our guests, the outside barn to cool down and have relaxed conversations, the bar which our guests particularly enjoyed and a chill out space upstairs. This venue has everything you need to design a day that suits you in exactly the ways you want it. We would also recommend to anyone to book to stay in the house attached to the venue, which is lovely. While it was fantastic that my wife got to have some time with her bridesmaids the night before, it was invaluable for running round the venue on the Sunday morning gathering up our keepsakes.
