I think we must have given the blue ball team whiplash with the amount our marriage plans changed! However Colin and Janice amazing the whole way through. We eloped and held our reception at the blue ball. Everyone raved about how lovely the food was and how friendly Colin was, who made himself well known to our guests and even loaded the kids up on ice cream when they started to crash lol. Everyone here is so knowledgeable about events and the wedding industry. We wanted something intimate and lowkey and that’s exactly what we got. They hired us a brilliant DJ for the evening and everything went so well. The team couldn’t have been more hands on and ready to help at every moment. They made our night super special and we’ll be coming back regularly in the future (both for the incredible food and friendly faces). We honestly couldn’t recommend them enough!

We held our wedding reception here in November 2014. The venue is special to us as the brides grandparents also held their wedding reception here in 1943! We had just over 100 guests, so had a marquee erected outside the front of the venue where we also bought a local hog roast company in to provide food. We loved the fact we had free reign to create a really special place that meant a lot to us, we could decorate how we liked and bought in our own tables, chairs, DJ, food providers and entertainment. With this being a Royal British Legion the bar prices were extremely reasonable to everyone's liking. It was a complete success.

We had our wedding reception here in September. From the first time we contacted them, nothing was too much trouble. We couldn't fault anything on the day, everything was perfect. Sam their wedding coordinator did a great job, setting everything up and making sure little details were complete. The hotel was a bit basic but had a really good night sleep and room service was great. Would 100% recommend the Ely for weddings and a place to stay. Thanks so much!

We got married at the Worplesdon Hotel in January. We lived abroad at the time of booking the venue and were worried about how we would manage to organise a wedding from the other side of the world however we needn't have worried. Their wedding planner was phenomenal from start to finish and accommodated us with late night and early morning SKYPEs to ensure everything was organised. Our food tasting was great and gave us real confidence in the food on the day - which surpassed even the food tasting. Our guests are foodies so we wanted to impress and the Worplesdon did not disappoint it was like a 5 star restaurant on the day! We really cannot sing their praises high enough. All of the staff from Donna who we hopefully now consider a friend (she even managed to get us a booking at a top restaurant in London which was "full" for the day after our wedding to Oliver who handled everything so well on the day and Graham the manager who oversaw everything. It really was the most perfect day.

We just wanted to thank you again for doing such an amazing job last night! We felt completely relaxed knowing that you and your wonderful team were taking care of us and looking after our guests so well. The food was absolutely delicious and we had so many people saying how much they'd enjoyed their meals. The Barn was just perfect for us, with a lovely relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, made extra special because we were able to customise it with our own decorations. Thank you for all your help and flexibility around that. I can't imagine anywhere else that we would rather have celebrated the happiest day of our lives! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for helping to make our wedding day so amazing. We'll be back for lunches/evening meals in the near future!!
