From the first viewing of the venue we were made to feel so welcome and at ease. Such a stunning little venue. So many guests commented on what a wonderful pub it is. The food was amazing and the service was fantastic. We are the simple fun filled day here and it is lovely we can visit regularly and know that we got married there. The room for the overnight stay was super lovely.

We hosted our wedding reception at Papillon in April 2026 and we had the best day of our lives. The whole day felt extremely well organised, and it all went very smoothly. We were especially impressed with all of the staff on the day – they were really friendly and helpful, allowing us to enjoy our day, with the odd request for extra cocktails and emergency coffees thrown in! We both felt very relaxed during the day, knowing that things were going smoothly, and everybody was enjoying the day. The food was exceptional - everybody was more than satisfied with the portions, and it was all delicious. We hosted a jam session as our evening entertainment on the stage downstairs - this was so much fun, and we were very impressed with the general sound and stage setup – the groom playing guitar on our wedding day is a memory we will cherish! Communication prior to the wedding was also very professional and thorough - Tommy and Ellie both dedicated lots of time to us via meetings, emails and phone calls in the build up to our big day. We felt like everyone was very organised, and they gave us confidence that the day would go well, and were very accommodating to our queries and specific requests we had for the wedding. Overall we are so happy that we chose Papillon for our wedding reception, and we will always cherish the memories we have of our big day!

We had our wedding reception at The Still and West on Saturday 23rd May. The weather was absolutely beautiful which just made this venue even more stunning than it already is. Sian and the team were fantastic, the day ran without any issues and everybody complimented us on how beautiful the food was - which was absolutely correct! We had the most incredible day and would recommend this venue to anybody wanting to get married in the Portsmouth area who are wanting a more chilled out and relaxed vibe to the traditional 'hotel' wedding setting. We had our wedding reception at the BVI, and throughout 4 months of planning, Billy, Ryan and their team went above and beyond to accommodate our requirements, build flexibility into their packages, help turn all our ideas into reality and make the day absolutely magical for us. We wanted a rustic and intimate feel, and even with 90-ish day guests and 120 in the evening, the team managed to make everything feel cosy (though not cramped) and personal - and all for a very reasonable cost! The pub looked like a twinkly wonderland with all the lights and Christmas decorations - Billy even arranged our flowers for us on the morning and the team put together a whole host of lovely touches that I hadn't thought of, like congratulations messages on chalkboards and little name labels on the cakes that some of our guests had made for us. All our guests are still commenting on what a gorgeous setting it made, how much love and care went into the setup, and how brilliant the staff were. We spent a lot of time planning the day, but still could never have imagined how special the venue would feel to us from the moment we walked in the door, so much so that we are already talking about booking a stay in one of the pub's lovely rooms to celebrate our first anniversary! Several of our guests have also decided that they are coming back for dinner in the near future. I honestly can't recommend the BVI enough, Even just as a dinner venue the pub is fab - if you plan to check it out as a venue, I highly recommend making a date of it and trying out some of Ryan's delicious food!

Forte Kitchen was absolutely perfect for our wedding. They offered multiple budget options to meet any of our needs. Their food was excellent, choice of drinks was fantastic for a range of guests. They were very careful with dietary requirements, all the staff knew what people could have. The flow of the evening was seamless, they helped to create a wonderful atmosphere and the rooms were stunning! Agne was great with communication all the way through the process. Can't recommend this venue enough.

We choose to have our wedding breakfast at The Ship and we could not have wished for a more perfect venue and experience. Katie was exceptional at being able to think of all the special details that we would have wanted to make the wedding perfect. All the staff made sure our guests were served to the highest standard and we can not thank them enough for everything they did.
