Poundon House, a private family home, is situated between Bicester and Buckingham overlooking unspoilt country-side. The House, built at the turn of the century, was designed by a follower of Lutyens and has a stunning Palladian approach with an avenue of lime trees. It is a very private place to hold Weddings, and exclusive use of the house is assured. The house is set in 10 acres of picturesque grounds that provide wonderful photographic opportunities.
There are three large Reception Rooms for your use, two of which are licensed for Civil Ceremonies. With its far reaching views across the English countryside, the south facing Terrace provides a beautiful setting for either the Ceremony, Blessing or drinks reception. The wedding breakfast can be held in our Reception Marquee which has an Indian hand block printed lining, and seats up to 300 guests. The marquee is situated beneath mature beech trees, with french windows opening onto a spacious lawn surrounded by an established yew hedge. Alternatively, the Reception Rooms at the house can provide a classic setting for couples wanting a more intimate Wedding Day - ideal for Winter Weddings.
