We had our wedding at trunkwell house, and it was truly the most magical day of our lives! From the moment we first visited, we knew this was the one. The setting is breathtaking — beautifully landscaped grounds, elegant interiors, and that perfect blend of charm and sophistication.

Sophie was an absolute dream to work with — responsive, organised, and genuinely invested in making sure every detail was flawless. On the big day, the team made everything run seamlessly so we could just relax and soak in every moment. A special shout out to Rene who absolutely made the wedding day what it was, his attention to detail and ensuring we was happy all day didn’t go a miss and the day wouldn’t have been the same without him!

Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food, the atmosphere, and the stunning venue. The ceremony felt intimate and romantic, and the reception space transformed into the most incredible celebration spot.

Me and my husband recently got married at Trunkwell, and we couldn't have asked for a better location for the big day. The House is beautiful, and the marquee and bedrooms were just as beautiful. We got such stunning photos there.
The team at Trunkwell, especially Sophie and Rene, were just incredible, they went above and beyond in every aspect!
We were lucky to have our ceremony outside and it was absolutely stunning. They really took all of the stress of planning a wedding off of us and made the day go so smoothly, without any issues. We can't thank them enough for everything, we highly recommend this venue to anyone, for all events!

This venue has been incredible in helping us ensure our day ran as smoothly as possible. They were always open to our ideas and willing to make them work for everyone. They were responsive within emails and helpful when needing further information.

On the day, they all worked incredibly hard to ensure the day ran perfectly which it did! Everything ran pretty much on time (no lateness on their part), food was beautiful and our guests and us really enjoyed the meal, staff were always polite and approachable.
Wedding planner - very responsive to queries and approachable when we done a few visits. Always taking notes to make sure the day ran exactly how we wanted it too. Upon the day, they were there early morning setting everything up. They took full control and we both did not need to do anything that morning except get prepared. Made a conscious effort to keep everything on time and came to collect us when needed for certain parts of the day.
DJ - was very accommodating with ideas and music styles and open to chat through these however long needed. They were always polite and enthusiastic. And made us feel confident in what they could do. On the day they even arrived early, let us know they had arrived and was setting up and when they would begin lighting for cake cutting and music for first dance etc.
Manager - was always welcoming to ourselves and everyone. Spoke to all. And ensured all our guests were enjoying the day and accommodating to any of their needs. They were checking on both of us to assist with anything we needed. And made us both feel very comfortable throughout the day. The next morning we were welcomed with smiles and food and drinks.

We got married at Trunkwell House at the beginning of October and what a magical day it was. The venue is so beautiful, well maintained and we loved how much space there was for all of our guests. We knew that it was the one as soon as we arrived at the initial viewing.

All of the staff were amazing throughout, but Sophie and Renee were just exceptional, nothing was ever too much trouble. They went above and beyond and helped bring all of our ideas to life, they were always quick at responding to our many emails and getting meetings booked in. Everything ran so smoothly on the day and looked exactly how we pictured it. We could really relax and enjoy our wedding knowing that everything was in their capable hands.

The food was absolutely delicious, from the main meal, evening buffet and even breakfast the next morning. It was lovely spend the next day with some of our guests who stayed in the other rooms, catching up and talking about all of the great memories from the night before.

The DJ was great fun and knew all of the right tracks to keep everyone on the dance floor!

We would not have changed a single thing, it was everything that we could have wanted for our special day and we are so grateful to all of the staff who helped make that happen.

From viewing the venue to the very end we were looked after by all here. Sophie and Renee were so attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. I honestly couldn't have wished for a more perfect day and it’s all thanks to these guys. We are so lucky to have had them by our side throughout. Ive loved every minute of our experience.

From begining to end I can not fault them! So friendly and did everything they could to have our day as we described!

I'm going to keep this short

We were advised that our florist would be able to access the venue from 8am, when they got there there was no one to let them in to start decorating, the venues OWN DJ had also arrived for 8am but with no one to let him in he (the venues own DJ) made a decision to lift a farm style gate off the hinge to allow access to the marquee. When a member of staff finally arrived they shouted at our florist.

We were guaranteed the bedrooms for the night before included in the price but days before the wedding the asked how we were going to pay, the wedding planner who had agreed it in the price had left so they would not honour it resulting in have go tell our family members that they would need to find accommodation last minute.

We were married on the 30th July, be aware that the marquee gets very very hot even with all the doors open, and the 2 air conditioning units do not really have an effect.

Near the end of the evening we were asked if we wanted the remaining cake to be stored for us to take with us in the morning, but come the morning it turns out that the just left it on a counter in the marquee kitchen with no covering resulting in over half of our cake being stale and wasted.

Best day ever amazing team beautiful venue i loved it! I’d love to go back and do it all over again.

We had such an amazing day with thanks to you guys there. You have just been amazing from the start right up until the end. Nothing was too much effort for you. All our guests said it was the best wedding they have been too! And how amazing the venue and staff were! From the bottom of our hearts we thank you so much for everything you have done for us. You truly are one in a million.
We have made so many friends from our wedding too. And if it's ok we would love to pop in and see you after our honeymoon? (Obviously book a slot to see you!)

Only writing this to avert anyone else from making the mistake of booking this venue for their wedding like I did. As soon as they have your deposit they will lose complete interest in providing any kind of service. We hired the marquee for a summer wedding. The marquee linen was disgustingly dirty and the flooring is like a springboard which completely destroyed our wedding cake. The venue has no running water which we and our catering team were not informed of. The portable toilets they provide ran out of water halfway through the event which i am told has happened on previous occasions and yet has not been resolved. This left my quests unable to flush the toilets or wash their hands. On top of the sorry state the venue was in, it turns out they had another wedding in the venue two day's before and hadn't cleared up which meant they were cleaning well into the start of our wedding. I had raised my concerns with the venue months before the wedding but to no avail. This was a once in a lifetime event for me and my wife and Trunkwell House royally messed it up. Their response to all the issues is that they were not aware or guests hadn't approached them to complain which in someways would be fair had it not been for the fact staff were nowhere to be seen on the day. My advise to anyone considering this venue is STAY AWAYYYYY.
