Wilde Lodge was the most incredible venue for our wedding. It was the perfect balance of romantic and relaxed and allowed us to host our guests for a whole weekend. On every side of the lodge are sweeping beautiful views and within the grounds there are so many areas that you can use. The versatility of the space is amazing, having the open barn, safari tent, lawns and long barn almost make it feel like you are stepping into a new venue at each part of the day. The different spaces also mean it is fantastic whatever the weather. With a May wedding, this was really important to us and gave us the peace of mind that our wedding would be weatherproof!

The two barns have so much natural charm and beauty that you need minimal added decor which is amazing and the safari tent is a perfect canvas to put your stamp on and personalise your wedding. Having the house to stay in was brilliant and you really felt like it was your home for the weekend. It made getting ready really easy as there was so much space and no travel to have to think about on the day. We also had the glamping village so our guests could stay on site which was so much fun and made the wedding a full weekend event. We used the big BBQ and lawns to host a party on the Sunday too, complete with a full game of rounders on their rounders pitch.

The team were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our day special. They genuinely enjoyed the day, got involved with the guests and made us feel like VIPs. They even left us a message in our guest book! Having a wedding coordinator was invaluable and Jess was incredible. She was efficient, ran her team like a dream and handled absolutely everything so we could get the most out of our day. Jess is clearly so passionate about weddings and is a fountain of knowledge. In the lead up she was on hand to answer any questions and we always looked forward to our scheduled calls to talk through and plan the day, as well as getting us so excited for it all.

We absolutely loved our Wilde Lodge Wedding and it was the best weekend of our lives!

We visited Wilde Lodge on a rainy Sunday in September, and despite the drizzle, we completely fell in love. We knew we wanted somewhere that felt like a home away from home, a place where all our guests could stay on-site and where we could truly make a wedding weekend of it. Gemma showed us around and answered every question we had. Her love for Wilde Lodge shone through, she genuinely cares about the venue, the staff, and making sure each couple’s day is exactly how they’ve dreamed it to be.

Gemma introduced us to Jess, our amazing wedding coordinator, and from the very first call we knew we were in safe hands. Her passion and excitement for bringing our day to life made the entire experience so special.

The house and surrounding countryside are absolutely breathtaking and provided the most stunning backdrop for our wedding photos and video. There was plenty of space for both the bridal and groom parties to get ready separately. It became a fun little game trying to avoid bumping into each other before the ceremony!

One of the many reasons we loved Wilde Lodge was their warmth and flexibility, from serving custom his and hers cocktails to welcoming our puppy along to the weekend, which truly made the day feel complete.

The staff were incredible from start to finish. They were super friendly, helpful, and always one step ahead. They helped us set up the day before, taking so much stress off our shoulders, and during the wedding itself they made sure everything ran seamlessly. As soon as we walked out of the ceremony, we were greeted with a glass of bubbles and even handed our own tray of canapés while we mingled with guests, such thoughtful touches that meant so much to us. They even signed our guestbook at the end of the night!

At the end of the night, the team were quick to tidy up and lit the fire pits so we could sit under the stars and enjoy one last drink before heading to bed which was a perfect end to a perfect day.

We had our ceremony in the Long Barn, which was already beautifully decorated with fairy lights and ivy woven through the beams. It had such a natural, earthy charm that needed very little extra decoration. The Safari Tent was ideal for moving from dinner to dancing, and the turn around was quick and seamless whilst we cut our cake. Gemma and her staff know the venue so well, they made it feel like we were the only ones there whilst effortlessly catering and transitioning the space throughout the day to perfectly flow with our plans.

The Open Barn offered a lovely, relaxed space to chill and chat, and the next day it became the perfect spot for our post-wedding braai with guests who stayed over in the cozy Hels Bells tents. We loved that the venue had garden games for cocktail hour too, it kept everyone entertained and laughing while we took our photos.

Wilde Lodge is truly something special. A place that feels warm, welcoming, and full of heart. Every part of our weekend there was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect setting to start our married life together.

How do you write a review to describe the amazing venue where we spent the best weekend of our lives…perfect just doesn’t cut it.

From the moment we found Wilde Lodge, we were supported by the wonderful wedding coordinator Jess. When we visited the venue and met Jess, we felt instantly at ease, inspired and knew this was the place we could plan a wedding exactly the way we wanted it in beautiful surroundings.

The flexibility we had to plan and execute our wedding was amazing but we could always fall back on guidance if needed. Jess was great at offering advice and recommending vendors who were all fantastic.

Our wedding weekend was out of this world, the rustic vibe of the place in the beautiful countryside with our own unique stamp of decoration and style (summer festival). It wasn’t just a wedding but a rare chance to spend a whole weekend with our nearest and dearest celebrating and spending quality time; we had 46 guests on site the whole weekend split between the lodge and awesome tent village provided by Hels Bels. These opportunities don’t come around very often and we made the most of it, such fun.
We had children onsite and they were so safe and content in the surroundings, they were also living their best life.
All my friends and family were blown away by their experience and the atmosphere, we all simply had the best time.
The quality and comfort of the lodge, facilities and the fabulous service from the concierge team over the weekend were second-to-none, nothing was too much to ask. We also loved the flexibility of the different options within venue for the ceremony, meal, party and just hanging out; the barn, open barn, safari tent and of course the lovely outdoor space.
Looking at videos and photos of our weekend gives us a wonderful feeling and a realisation that we had exactly the wedding we wanted, just how we imagined when we first saw Wilde Lodge. The venue and style of support allowed us to achieve that.

Wilde Lodge is the perfect venue for so many reasons. The location is breath taking, the lodge is beautiful with so many different spaces to use, and the option of staying the night before with our nearest and dearest was something so special that we will treasure forever. But, the staff are really the cherry on top. Nothing was too much trouble. From planning with Jess to our day with Emma, everyone worked so hard to make sure we had the day of our dreams. We couldn’t have asked for a friendlier team. Our guests had a blast, and they have been so complimentary of the venue and staff. We would do it all over again if we could and will re-live the day in our heads for a very long time.

We had the most incredible wedding at Wilde Lodge in Knighton, Powys. From start to finish, everything about this venue felt magical and completely stress-free.

Our ceremony took place in the beautiful Long Barn, followed by drinks on the lawn with the most stunning views. Guests enjoyed an amazing meal in the Safari Tent, and the evening ended in the most relaxed way, gathered around the firepits with family and friends.

The staff were outstanding. and Jess, our wedding coordinator, went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. She made the whole experience, from booking through to the big day, completely effortless for us, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

One of the things we loved most was having the venue for the whole weekend (Friday to Monday), which gave us time to really soak it all in and enjoy it with our loved ones. Being able to bring our two dogs along made it feel even more personal and special.

If you’re looking for a wedding venue that combines breathtaking scenery, a relaxed atmosphere, and the most supportive team, we can’t recommend Wilde Lodge enough.

When we first drove down the tree lined lane towards the Wilde Lodge venue we knew we had found somewhere special! Tucked away in the rolling welsh hills, Wilde Lodge was the perfect location for our chill & intimate countryside wedding. We particularly loved the venues relaxed vibe but with all the support from an experienced wedding team! With the help of the staff at Wilde Lodge, in particular Jess, we were able to create a wedding day that felt so true to us as a couple, with the flexibility to curate every little detail uniquely to our tastes and the freedom to incorporate many DIY elements.

We were blown away with how helpful the staff at Wilde Lodge were. Form helping us upon arrival the evening before unloading and setting up decor to the non-stop work throughout the day of our wedding, making sure everything went to plan, brining our vision for the day to life.

The staff took care of so many jobs for us making the day stress free and so enjoyable! Emma our co-ordinator for the day was a delight to work with, going out of her way to make sure everything ran smoothly on the day and that our guests had the best experience. All the guests commented on how great the staff were and how smoothly the day went, with even stewards meeting guests at their cars upon arrival with umbrellas once it started to rain!

The in-house catering by CSons was also a highlight of the day, with a delicious and unique menu selection we were able to organise through the venue, making the wedding planning stage that much more hassle free.

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day, thank you to Wildelodge and all their staff for making it just so!

We knew we wanted somewhere that our family and friends could gather for the weekend and enjoy some proper hospitality - Wilde Lodge fit the bill in every way. The spaces are so versatile and well thought out so the big day flows beautifully from one 'bit' to the next. The whole weekend did really.
The Open Barn was the perfect place to host breakfast throughout the weekend, a sheltered spot on a sunny morning, transformed to a twinkling cosy corner for cake and cocktails at dusk. The Long Barn ceremony room by day, club by night. Front lawn for Friday welcome drinks, post ceremony canapés and Sunday evening BBQ. The Mound for our morning cup of tea watching the swallows and then for golden hour group photos later in the day. And the house for all the creature comforts throughout.

But all of this would be nothing without the best team guiding and supporting you throughout your weekend. A better team than you could dare hope for.
We were so lucky to have Phoebe as our coordinator and without her keeping us on course we would've have been a right shambles. Phoebe organised the team, our guests and us without ever being anything less than positive, sunny and professional and all while keeping everyone hydrated. Legend. The energy of everyone on site over the course of the weekend - particularly given the heat! - was astounding. Whether putting away our ridiculously large order of ice, helping to decorate beforehand, serving drinks or helping clear down, the weekend felt so relaxed because of the amazing team running things behind the scenes.
Working in hospitality ourselves we know and really appreciate how tricky it is to make it all seem so effortless and they did just that with smiles on their faces.

So book your visit, pay your deposit and get planning, a great weekend is pretty much guaranteed whatever the weather.

We are still surprised about how little stress we experienced in the lead up to, and during, our wedding which we credit to Phoebe and her team at Wilde Lodge for taking care of all the details.

The venue was simply perfect for hosting 50 of our best friends and family over the weekend. It provided everything we wanted for our day: relaxing, beautiful scenery, and reflected us as a couple.

Even the small details like bringing water out for us during the nightcaps and making sure the washrooms were sparkling all weekend was greatly appreciated.

We had the most incredible wedding weekend at Wilde Lodge. The setting is breathtaking, with stunning views and a calm, welcoming atmosphere that made it feel so special. Having on-site accommodation for our guests, plus the option for bell tents, meant we could enjoy the whole weekend together—which was exactly what we wanted.
Even when the weather forced us to move our ceremony indoors, the Long Barn was a beautiful and intimate alternative. The Open Barn and safari tent gave everyone a chance to enjoy the full charm of the venue. The food from CSons was amazing—our guests couldn’t stop talking about it!

We honestly wish we could get married at Wilde Lodge all over again - it was that perfect. From start to finish, the team were incredible. Communication was always clear and prompt, and the staff were so attentive and genuinely kind. Nothing ever felt like too big of an ask, and they were incredibly accommodating of our different needs and ideas throughout the planning process.

The venue itself is breathtaking, and paired with such a supportive team, it made for the most magical, stress-free experience. We can’t thank the Wilde Lodge crew enough for helping create the best day of our lives!

Wilde Lodge is a simply stunning venue. Every space is beautiful and needs little dressing. Having the place to yourselves for the whole weekend makes it very special and they really encourage you to make yourself at home. Gorgeous views aside, what makes Wilde Lodge really special is the staff. Nothing is too big of an ask. They are responsive, beyond helpful and provide a service which is very unique. Everyone pitches in to help dress the venue and get you ready for the day. It was like a big family that we didn't want to leave.

Wilde Lodge is an absolute hidden gem! We had our wedding day in late May and the venue was rural, intimate and idyllic. There’s space to sleep 16 onsite with plenty options of accommodation for our guests in villages and towns within 5-10 mins drive.

Jess our wedding coordinator was truly exceptional, with regular video calls from 12 months out, we were supported and gently guided through the whole wedding process. On the weekend itself Jess (who already had a great rapport with most of our vendors) worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the day feel seamless. She’s so passionate about her work and making sure your whole experience is personal and tailored. All the staff working over the weekend were highly attuned to our needs and we received incredible hospitality. Our guests commented at how amazing the venue and the staff had been throughout our day.

A massive benefit of this venue is having the place over the whole weekend as standard. As well as the ability to extend celebrations, we got quality time with our closest friends and family that stayed in the house with us. We have memories through Friday, Saturday morning and Sunday that we treasure just as much as our big day. Many venues we looked at require you to leave early the next day after your wedding, you’ll be exhausted (and probably hungover) so waking up with bacon sandwiches and debrief of the day before was perfect.

We couldn’t recommend this venue and the amazing staff enough. Thank you for making our wedding better than we ever could have imagined!

Wilde Lodge was the absolute dream venue for our perfect day, and it went down as perfectly as we could have imagined!
The space in the long barn for the ceremony and the safari tent for the wedding breakfast was ideal for our wedding of 70 people.
We also used the Lodge and bell tents for our close family which all worked so well
All the extra activities and seating areas are fantastic and meant our wedding guests could spread out and relax.
Jemma made us feel so welcome and at home at the Lodge when we viewed to venue a year before the wedding and myself, my husband and our two small children all agreed immediately that we were going to get married there!!
Hannah and her team went above and beyond on the day of the wedding for us behind the scenes making the day run smoothly. And on the run up to the wedding Hannah (our wedding coordinator from Wilde Lodge) had regular video calls with us to cover all bases and make sure the day ran perfectly for us.
