The Norman’s was the perfect venue! Oliver and Sharon were fantastic from start to finish - they were always extremely welcoming and happy to accommodate our requests. Oliver did a great job on the day of organising/ keeping things on time, calming our nerves before the big moments and being a hype-man when needed! The venue itself is perfect! Couldn’t imagine getting married at a different venue. The barn was the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and the grain shed was the perfect setting for the wedding breakfast/ party afterward. When we walked in the day before to set up, we thought that the venue looked so nice that it didn’t even need any additional decorations. Our wedding day couldn’t have gone much better and that’s in no small part to The Norman’s and Oliver/Sharon, so we are extremely appreciative and couldn’t recommend them any more!!

We had our wedding at Thicket Priory in September and cannot recommend Lily and the entire team highly enough. From our very first visit, Lily was incredible — we were completely sold not only on the stunning venue but on the amazing people who work there. Thicket Priory itself is absolutely beautiful, with each room being unique and thoughtfully designed. One of the most special parts of the experience was being able to have our family and friends stay for the full weekend. Everyone was so well looked after, and it created such a relaxed and memorable atmosphere. Our guests arrived on the Friday from 3pm, and the bar staff were attentive and welcoming throughout the afternoon and evening. We hosted a pub quiz in the bar that night, which was a brilliant way to kick off the weekend and made everyone feel at home straight away. We used Hog and Apple for our catering and the food was outstanding — so many of our guests commented on how much they loved it. Lily ensured everything ran smoothly from start to finish, coordinating all of the suppliers and offering refreshingly honest, helpful advice throughout the planning process, on the wedding day itself, and right through to checkout on the Sunday. Even when there were small hiccups (as expected with any large event), Lily remained calm and made sure we were informed; without ever letting it become a worry for us and most importantly, going totally un-noticed by our guests. Thanks to Lily and the team, the entire weekend had such a calm, fun and light atmosphere. It truly was the perfect place to celebrate our wedding, and we are so grateful to everyone at Thicket Priory for making it so special. S&A
