Relax and rely on the award-winning festival band indie folk rock band, Mumfudden Suns! Custom first dance performances, DJ, and packed dance floor throughout - guaranteed!
Mumfudden Suns came together to play some of their favourite music, and take it out on the road, and all over the world!
Not content to simply play the best Mumford-inspired music to a high level, Gary and the boys promise to give you a night to remember with dancing, fun and big sing-alongs with a unique Mumford twist!
Whether you want a roaming set with one or two lads, or the full band with a DJ setup, we can take care of all things music for the big day!
What We Offer
Available in a range of sizes, we guarantee to set the evening on fire! With acoustic/lead vocals, banjo/electric guitar, bass/backing vocals and drums, you have everything you need for the Mumford-vibe!
The group comes self-contained with their own awesome PA system, party lighting and DJ-style music before, between and after the 2 x 1hr sets which we perform as standard. This can be split into 3 x 40mins sets if required, or extended to up to three hours of performing.
First Dance Performance
Let us know your dream first dance song and we will make it a reality! We can also learn songs for Father/Daughter dances, custom arrangements to complement your choreography, and make sure it’s a truly special moment to remember forever!
Ceremony & Reception Performances
A popular addition to our evening band is a performance during the wedding ceremony and the reception immediately afterwards. Quite often we’ll be asked to play while guests arrive, for the signing of the register, as the couple leave the ceremony and then for the drinks reception thereafter.
This can be performed in a ‘roaming’ or ‘wandering’ capacity, where the band members walk between your guests, or in a more traditional performance in a fixed location. A popular choice for this is a duo from the band, typically consisting of the lead singer/guitarist and the banjo/electric guitarist.
DJ Service
Our evening band comes with this as standard, however if you preferred to have the guys just for the ceremony, we can also offer a DJ for the evening, making it a more cost-effective way of having the best of both worlds!
Our standalone DJ comes complete with DJ booth, disco lighting, and PA system, our DJs will tailor the sets to keep your guests wanting more!

The guest all left raving about the band!
They played our first dance song, Gary had sent over a little snipped ahead of time so we knew what to expect. We shared a Spotify playlist of the kind of things we liked to listen to and they used that to tailored the music for the evening.
They were so accommodating, we asked them to play 3 x 45 min rather than 2 x 1 hours. The guest absolutely loved them. Many of our guest work in the live events sector and everyone was raving about how great they sounded and how good the set list was. If we ever have the need for a band again, we will deffo be calling these guys first.
Best Band Ever!
The duo was absolutely wonderful while we ate and talked, they also started their set late as we took longer getting back from the church than we thought we would, they adapted to what we needed without any problems.
Our first dance was AMAZING! The guys learnt our song Simple by Florida Georgia line and performed it perfectly.
The band got everyone up and dancing, they were fantastic. I had so many compliments about how good they are.
I even had a chance to chat to them outside while they were between sets and such lovely guys who took the time to ask about our day.
The DJ set was also spot on, they 100% suck to our requests.
Highly recommend Mumfudden Suns, if you want fantastic music with a great atmosphere then book them now! I will be recommending them to everyone who will listen. Thank you guys for making our day so special.

Hello, I'm Gary!
My experience in the entertainment industry goes right back to 2005 when I graduated from one of Europe's top guitar conservatoires, and since then I've honed my craft as a professional guitarist. From West End theatre pits, to South African theatres, and 7* hotels in Dubai, there isn't much I haven't done as a professional musician.
I realised early on in my career that I couldn't be dependant on anyone else to provide me with performing work, and so I set out to create a band that not only made great music, but also brought something more than that - an experience to savour, thoughtfulness that delights, and everyone arm in arm, singing an anthem at the end of the night.
As I grew as an entrepreneur, I began to understand that the role of a band at a wedding is so much more than just music - if there's a delay (a long speech, or everyone outside in beautiful sunshine), it's always the band that needs to accommodate this as we're always at the end of the day. That means we need to be adaptable in timings (loading in, setting up, eating, performing, DJ'ing, getting the first dance perfect and much more). We need to be the eyes on the schedule, as all of these things make a huge difference to how busy your dancefloor is, and after all, this is one metric your guests will measure your wedding by.
In my role as director I am focused on equipping the band with the tools to perform exceptionally on your day. That involves us learning more about you, allaying concerns and preparing for critical moments, and coordinating with your other suppliers so we collectively provide you with a seamless day to remember.
You want zero surprises on the day. You want to think only of enjoying the moment. You want entertainment that says something about you whilst engaging your guests. We can help you.
