We had our dream wedding at the Faversham.

We wanted a venue which had the capacity to host 100 day guests and around 150 evening guests while still feeling warm and intimate. It fit the bill perfectly. We also wanted a venue which was accessible from Leeds, yet still felt a step away from the bustle of the city. Again, it was perfect.

But what we really loved about the Faversham, which made it such a dream, was the incredible menu (a wide variety of beautifully cooked sharing platters), the elegant, yet unstuffy interior, the brilliant party space, allowing for a six piece live band and plenty of guests on the dance floor, and the most professional yet warm and friendly wedding planners and staff we could have hoped for.

Many things were included in hire of the venue: all of the furniture, glassware, cutlery, linen, assortment of jars for flowers and garden games. We barely had much to do in terms of decoration. And you should definitely check out the toilets - they are amazing!

My husband and I had no idea on where to start with wedding planning, so our wedding planner Jess guided us with a template order of the day to get us started and made helpful suggestions along the way. All of the staff were so helpful and friendly, keeping us relaxed in the run up. A big thank you to Teo, Deb and Alex who managed our wedding day and made sure that everything went to plan.

There is a bridal suite available at the Faversham where my bridal party and I got ready. We had breakfast included and arrived at 8am in the morning to teas, coffees, fresh pastries, fruit and Prosecco. It was the perfect start!

We honestly couldn’t have chosen a better venue than the Faversham and I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a Leeds based venue.

The Faversham is wonderful. It's extremely beautiful and perfect for people who want modern but still elegant in a venue. The food was delicious- my only real criticism is there are set menus so people can't have individual meals to order which would have been nice, but ultimately the food we chose was delicious and was a very small part of the day so it was really a non-issue. The staff are all extremely kind and let us DIY a lot of things (which is what we were after). All our guests had a fantastic day, and having the team running everything meant we were completely stress free.

From the very first visit to The Faversham we had a great feeling about the place and the people who worked there.
Everything leading up to the wedding was great, the meetings were very laid back like us.

The team at the Faversham worked like absolute ninjas behind the scenes on our wedding day. I expected on my wedding day that I’d have to do lots of liaising behind the scenes with the staff, but they were just so intuitive and professional that we were just left to enjoy the day. The venue is brilliant and it was the perfect setting for us. We were able to keep the day fairly relaxed and informal which is really what we wanted. Plus the fact they are a licenced venue is a great bonus, as you can hold the ceremony and reception in one place without having to transport people. I would highly recommend the Faversham as a great venue

First let's go over the venue itself. It's so gorgeous, has so much character. The bathrooms and huge ornate mirrors resulted in a lot of mirror seflies during the day. The conservatory let's in a lot of nice natural light but is temperature controlled. The outdoor terrace allows guests to not stay indoors all day either. The bars are so cute you feel like you're at an actual bar rather than a wedding venue and the selection omg! My guests were even able to order caipirinhas that's not on the menu?? I was pregnant and there was a lot of good non-alcoholic options as well. And they don't overcharge for drinks either. We wanted an open bar and they were very flexible about it, warning us when we were reaching our limit and allowing us the option to raise it or not by however amount increments. Sorry I went on a tangent about the bar and alcohol. But I can't forget to mention the venue smells so good as well. My wedding dress still smells like it and when I smell it brings me back to the day haha! I love how you also have reign over the full venue rather than just a portion of it and our guests could roam room to room. And it really felt more like you were at an intimate, cool event rather than something like a stuffy hotel ballroom that could look like any other. There was ample seating so if people don't want to dance, they can still feel a part of the action while chilling/resting.

Next is the staff/service. We booked a year early and were able to get a discount because of it. I would say the prices are very reasonable for what you get. We had the initial viewing, then the meal tasting with other couples where wow you really get to feast, and then another in person consultation a month before. My husband and I were maybe too chill about the whole planning which in some ways could be difficult to accommodate because it's so vague and there was a lot of last minute decisions made. But they were so easy to work with and adaptable and flexible. We emailed a lot the weeks and days leading up to it and they were so responsive. They coordinated with all the vendors so we really didn't have to worry about any of that things Just Worked the day of, the vendors showed up when they were supposed to and where. There were a lot of extra things we got from the venue as well like an easel for our signs and they even set up connect four and games in the terrace which we didn't expect but was a nice bonus.

The morning of was hectic. I didn't even know whether to wear a veil or how to put the veil in my hair and shout out to Holly for putting it in my hair haha! We also weren't organized with our name cards/menu cards but Holly handled it with no stress. We got ready in the bridal suite which was such a nice respite for me, my family, and my husband when things got so overwhelming. The wedding itself started on time! Which how rare is that. Indeed, things pretty much followed the schedule we set out and our guests didn't have to wait around too much which is so important for guest happiness. We had a lot of American guests who never had a pavlova and loved the mega pavlova they sought out pavlovas the rest of their UK stay haha. The bar staff made sure to keep water on stock/at hand at all times as well.

We came back the next day to pick up some things we were able to leave our things and car at the Faversham overnight. We even lost our vow books but they found them and we were able to pick it up at a later time.

I hear a lot of venue horror stories but thank you to The Faversham for really making our wedding something special.

Deb and Holly were incredible from start to finish. We knew that we wanted a relaxed, enjoyable, and less formal wedding day which centred around family and friends having a great time rather than following all the formalities of a traditional wedding. Deb and Holly listened to this and supported us to achieve it. They were responsive, helpful, and took all the pressure off once the 'big day' arrived by managing everything for us without a hitch. The food and drinks were also incredible (sharing boards and cocktails, what's not to love?!), and the Faversham team all made the wedding day feel like such a personal event. Could not recommend this venue enough! A HUGE thank you to the team!

The location in central Leeds is unparalleled and all of our guests loved the food.

Deb, Teo and Alex made sure that the day went like clockwork and we could just enjoy every second. Couldn’t recommended highly enough, we are so happy we chose The Faversham!

The Faversham was absolutely amazing from start to finish throughout the planning of our wedding. All the staff were so friendly and so helpful on the day, we honestly couldn't fault the service in any way. They were so catering towards us and our guests - so much that our guests couldn't stop talking about how incredible the day was.

A special thanks to Teo, as she went above and beyond to help us have the most wonderful day. We bombarded her with so many questions, but she was always so quick to respond and reassure us. She was brilliant on the day and ensured our wedding ran as smoothly as possible while liaising with all our suppliers. She kept us updated throughout the whole day, making sure not to bother us with questions or problems so we could just enjoy ourselves. Our day couldn't have been possible without Teo.

We chose the Faversham for our wedding party after a civil ceremony at Leeds Civic Hall in September. WHAT A PARTY! we wish we could go back and do it all again! The venue is beautifully decorated throughout and matched our vibe perfectly!

The team were very helpful through our planning and made sure our day ran smoothly with very little stress! Would definitely recommend. The canapés and street food we chose were amazing and went down a treat with our guests.

The Faversham, what a place, we only visited 1 venue and The Fav was THE ONE! Booked immediately. From the booking process, Food and drinks packages and low rental fees we were hooked! Both the interior and exterior are beautiful and was the perfect setting for our 100 guest wedding. The styling meant that you barely have to add much to make the place look wedding ready! Wow what a venue! We had the best day on our wedding because of The Faversham in a huge way . They set everything up perfectly and the staff were on it for the entire day! The communication we had with them throughout the planning was amazing and they always accommodated any requests we had! I would fully recommend this venue!
