It has taken me some time to find the right words to accurately summarise my wedding experience at the Faversham. My husband and I went to a wedding fayre at the Faversham and were instantly struck my the beauty of this carefully restored Victorian Building. The attention to detail and the tasteful interior is breathtaking. They have a dedicated in house Wedding Planner, Deborah Divittoris who was exceptional. Her attention to detail and her ability to know precisely what it is we wanted was refreshing. She was also highly conscious of cost and was always thinking about reducing costs. The Staff were nowhere but everywhere. I cannot recall ever seeing even one of them but they were everywhere and attended to our guests professionally and without being noticed. That is the key to good service. The food tasting was superb and the food on the day even better than the food cooked for us at the tasting. Each and every guest said it was the best Tomahawk steak they had ever had. In fact the wedding was such a hit with our guests, it made the Yorkshire Post and an article was written in which the Author wrote the food was gastronomic level, you can read below for yourselves.

I cannot recommend the Faversham enough. They are hands down, head and shoulders above anyone else we met with or any other venue we visited. The value for money versus the service we received was without doubt the best we could have received. This place is standout.

We had our wedding here in March and it was the best day! The staff were all incredible. A big thanks to Jess who was so helpful throughout the whole planning process too.

The food was a highlight, we opted for a vegan menu and it was so good. The cheesecake was still the best I've ever had! We had a few guests with very specific food allergies too, they were all catered for which was very much appreciated.

The Faversham is an absolute dream of a venue and I couldn't recommend it enough.

My wife and I recently had our wedding at the Faversham. What a venue ! The day went absolutely perfectly! Every single detail we asked for was carefully planned and catered for. The staff were all so lovely and we’re so glad we got to spend our wedding day at the Faversham. The team completely took the stress of the day away as they helped organise the event and it ran seamlessly. All our friends and family absolutely loved the venue. It is a very unique space which can be turned into whatever vibe you want in such an easily accessible location. Being a licensed venue, we had our ceremony, wedding breakfast & party all on this stunning site which was perfect and so practical. Couldn’t speak highly enough of this place and all its staff. When we started looking for our wedding venue, we looked for a beautiful place with amazing food, easy accessibility, and an outdoor space for a summer wedding. Faversham matches our expectations. The sharing plater style initially caught our eye, especially the Mega Pavlova (it was amazing). Also, the existing greenery in all rooms complemented our vision for our tropical themed wedding. We didn't need to add too many extra flowers, so it saved our budget. Debs and Jess were very helpful. They gave a good suggestion for the vendors. They were also easy to communicate and understand with the time difference of the bride who lived in Indonesia before the wedding.

We had our wedding on the 7th of July, 2023. The weather was so sunny, and thankfully, all rooms had an aircon. It also had a good outdoor space. They also put some games for adults and kids outside. All my guests are having so much fun. We came from different cultures (English-Indonesia), and the staff were very considerate in accommodating our guests' food preferences (halal, vegetarian, lactose intolerant, etc.). They even set up an Indonesian snack corner at our wedding night do. The day went off without a hitch, expertly directed by Jess. We are very grateful for their help. The day wouldn't have been as perfect without them xxxx

If you’re looking for a venue oozing with character that differs from the one size fits all package weddings then the Faversham is for you. Slightly alternative, with a beautiful eclectic interior and hidden in the heart of the centre the Faversham was the perfect venue for us. It was really important for us to find somewhere that reflected us as a couple, and also prided itself on serving incredible food. Hannah and the team were excellent from the get go, and really worked hard to tailor our day to suit us including providing food that wasn’t typically on offer from the kitchen to suit our guests tastes. Really organised but in a comfortable effortless fashion that made us feel at ease, the day flowed beautifully thanks to the work the team put in. The beautiful decor meant that we only needed to enhance the existing fittings with flowers in our chosen colours, with beautiful pops of greenery from the Faversham bringing it all together. Our guests commented on how easily the day flowed with use of the whole venue cleverly sectioned to keep people moving and avoid the dreaded stay at the table all night chatting in small groups” that you tend to get at family events. All of the food was absolutely beautiful in particular the special addition of a pasta course, which despite not being a menu option was executed perfectly.


We couldn’t fault the day at all, and would highly recommend the venue and the team for anyone wanting to celebrate a day that is truly special to them. Added bonus if you get the venue on a nice day where you can make use of the terrace!

We've struggled to find the words since our wedding in October 22. We don't feel our words would quite do the experience we had justice.
Our experience from start to finish was out of this world. The staff were excellent, they put us at ease every step of the way. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble and they were so in tune with every fine detail to make our day run perfectly leaving me and my now husband to relax and enjoy our day.
The venue. Wow, the venue. Our aesthetic was naturally very Faversham. We were lucky we had to minimally decorate as the venue is absolutely beautiful.
The catering - our friends and family still rave about the food! Mouthwatering food!
Our whole experience with the Faversham is something we will never forget and something we will forever be grateful for.

Let me start by saying I've worked in the wedding industry for nearly 10 years - so I had extremely high standards and expectations for my own wedding. The Faversham surpassed those in every way.

From the moment we walked through the door, we knew it was the one! It's a beautiful, characterful building with a warm atmosphere. It's also got a great flow, which makes the practicalities of the day (and the transitions) a breeze. The room set aside for the couple/wedding party is a nice extra! We loved being able to pop in for a quiet moment or use it for hair & makeup touch ups.

The lounge was ideal for our guests who didn't always want to be in the middle of the party. It was also nice to have lounge furniture in the main room - everyone was able to relax properly when they weren't dancing.

What's especially good about the Faversham is that you can really make it your own. I had a few unusual ideas for our wedding and The Faversham were able to accommodate all of them. I think for couples looking for a cool, city centre vibe - it's the perfect venue. The iconic Leeds architecture surrounding The Faversham is dreamy for your wedding photos. There's also plenty of photogenic spaces inside, so you know whatever the weather, your photos will be gorgeous.

The whole wedding planning process was a breeze. The staff at The Faversham are the best of the best. Their communication is exceptional. I never had to wait for long to get a reply whenever I had a question. A special shout out to Deb for all of her support! The wedding fair and the tasting day were highlights - it really got us excited and made it feel real.

On the day Hannah and the team made sure our day was amazing. Being a perfectionist, I find it difficult to relax and be in the moment, but for once in my life I was able to as I knew I could trust them to take care of everything. You can tell that they care a lot about their couple's having a wonderful day - and that really shows in the quality of their work.

The food & drinks were great. Our guests particularly loved the cocktail hour so I would highly recommend adding that into your day.

To summarise, The Faversham has style AND substance. And isn't that exactly what you want on your special day?

The Fav is a lovely relaxed venue and was perfect for our laidback city centre wedding - the whole team were amazing during the planning process, answered all our questions in the run-up, and were unbelievably helpful on the day making sure it all ran smoothly. It was all so easy and stress free, can’t recommend enough. Lots of our guests have commented on what a great venue it is too. A huge thank you to the whole team!!

We had our wedding here on the 28th May 2022. The venue was beautiful, the staff, Deb, hannah and jess were on point all night and so helpful. In the run up to the wedding they were so good and we really didn't need to worry about anything, they were all over it!
The food, bears pantry, was so good, we've had so many comments from our guests about how amazing it was.
On the day, the staff quickly resolved any issues and sorted everything out so we had no stress at all.
It was a perfect day!

The Faversham is such a unique venue in the heart of Leeds City Centre. I have never been in a venue like it for weddings which makes it extra special. Spread across 3 large indoor spaces and 2 outdoor, our wedding flowed perfectly and gave us and our guests variety throughout the day! I have had SO MUCH positive feedback from guests about the venue, the food, the staff; I honestly couldn't have asked for more. The team who support in particular Debs and Hannah from events and Karen from Bears Pantry are so responsive and completely put me at ease with any queries. One of the main reasons we chose the Fav was because we didn't want a generic wedding at a hotel in a room with no soul. They don't force a "package" style wedding on you, they work with you to bespoke and curate what works for you making valuable suggestions and give great advice. If you want something different, personal to you with support from an amazing experienced team at a unique venue - LOOK NO FURTHER!

Ah, where do we start? Our Wedding Day was absolutely perfect. The team at The Fav were brilliant prior to the day and on the day we didn't need to think about anything, our day was plain sailing, easy going and not one ounce of stress. The team at The Fav are laid back but professional, happy to support your ideas and eager to make your wedding day one of a kind. Our guests commented on how beautiful and unique the venue was, they couldn't believe it was in Leeds city centre! We had the best day and without you it would not have been possible, so thank you so much.

The weather was freezing but the atmosphere was anything but cold! The staff were super helpful throughout and really helped to make our day exactly how we wanted.
You could have a high class day or a very casual affair (like ours) and they're very happy to accommodate what ever you need. We felt we could ask any silly question that came to our heads and they treated us with total respect and understanding!
The venue itself is so so special; from the beautiful tiles in the conservatory to the small details in the bridal suite it is just beautiful. For me it is perfect.
The day went so fast and we wish we could do it all again.

Incredible from the moment we booked. Jess and the whole team have been amazing. The food tasting on the run up was a lovely surprise; it felt like a date for me and my partner. Jess was great at keeping our day organised and making any changes as we updated things. They were great at getting in touch of all the vendors and helping the day run smoothly. On the day, the staff really looked after myself and my bridesmaids. We had a beautiful room to get ready in that had plenty of space and they kept the drinks coming. The venue looked amazing and it was set up beautifully by the team. They were so good at turning everything around with great timing. Throughout the day, every guest had everything they needed and every request was accomodated. The value this venue provides is outstanding and they really coukd charge more than they do for the level of service and attention to detail they provide. 100% recommend.
