Facilities and Capacity
The Chatsworth Suite a bright, light-filled space with a neutral pallet, lending itself as the perfect backdrop to any colour scheme. The fully licensed venue allows you to celebrate your full day in one place, from the ceremony through to the evening with space for 130 daytime guests and 200 evening guests.
When the evening celebrations start the large central dancefloor comes into its own and is always filled with smiling faces and unique dance moves! The private bar in the room keeps all your guests in one place and the party feel going.
Your friends and family can take advantage of the 19 boutique guest rooms including the fabulous Sir Don Bradman Suite which is included within your package. A delicious breakfast is included the following day when you can all come together in the restaurant and reminisce about your perfect day.

Super kind and super professional
Katie, Zoe and the whole Maynard Team including waiting staff, bar staff etc were such a joy to work with.
From the very beginning, they were really responsive to our enquiries, friendly and accommodating: we were organising the wedding long distance and they were great with giving us and our families time on the phone and on video calls.
Throughout the planning process we felt in safe hands because they’re just such a professional team, we were not super organised ourselves but they kept us on track with a timeline for planning, checking through all the details with us (prompting us on things we would not have thought about) and kept things flexible as our plans changed and kept us chill when we were stressed!
On the day and the morning after they made everything run smoothly including tiny details and really looked after us and all the guests, and working directly with our chosen suppliers. The fact they decorated our room with our gifts and saved us a bit of wedding cake for the end of the night was just one example of a load of really sweet small touches that made a big difference.
We think when you consider the whole package: the beautiful venue, the planning service, the set up and take-down, the beautiful bridal suite, the DJ and lots of lovely personal touches, it was good value for money, especially out of the summer season. We’re really grateful for all the Maynard Team did to give us a really special wedding reception.
The most perfect venue!!
The set up of the venue is stunning, overlooking hope valley is the perfect scenery backdrop for photos. Also a little walk along the road overloads some gorgeous views.
The staff at the Maynard are so friendly and helpful, they all go above and beyond.
Our wedding coordinator Zoe was fantastic, she ensured our personal details and quirks were able to shine and that our wedding went without a hitch with her patience and attention to detail.
All my guest have commented on how stunning our venue choice was and how nice all the staff were throughout the day.
We cannot recommend The Maynard enough!

The Maynard staff are incredible and went above and beyond from our first initial wedding consultation, right up until the end of our wedding night, we appreciated the wedding cake sent to our room!
We'd like to also mention a special thank you to Zoe and Katie for being great at helping organise our wedding, nothing was ever too much. We appreciate all of the hard effort that went in to creating our special day and helping with the quick turn around with the room.
We both feel that The Maynard is the perfect wedding venue that incorporates a personal and relaxed approach, we loved our little postcard provided from the staff and also the fact there is only around 20 rooms, which made the post wedding day breakfast feel more homely.
All of the food is amazing, all of our guests couldn't stop going on about the fab buffet at the end of the night! It's also great that there is a private garden that displays beautiful views of the Peak District. We were blessed with beautiful weather and got to go up to Curbar Edge for our photos.
If you're looking for a wedding in a beautiful venue that is personable and has amazing staff, The Maynard is the place to be!

The location is absolutely perfect and if the weather is kind the garden is fantastic for a drinks reception & for photos.

Hi, I'm Zoe!
I joined The Maynard just over a year ago. I have a first-class degree in International Hospitality Business Management from Manchester but my heart called me back to Sheffield and the Peak District after graduating. It was when I joined the Maynard that I channelled my 6+ years in hospitality in to the wonderful world of weddings and there is no stopping me now!
People always ask me what my favourite thing about The Maynard is and to be honest the venue speaks for itself, it really is beatiful but the thing I love the most is the team I work with. We are a family and we love working together to see couples visions come to life.
