We had the best wedding day we could have imagined! The food was amazing, everything ran seamlessly to time, and the service was spot on from start to finish - all surrounded by so much love and laughter. Tyran, our wedding manager, was quick to respond and full of helpful ideas, an absolute wedding expert. He was flexible on meeting times as well which was extremely helpful for us and work schedules. Mackenzie, the operations manager, kept the day flowing with such grace and humour, always there when needed but never intrusive, he felt like part of the family by the end of the night. Big thanks also to Ed and Sarah behind the bar, who brought so much fun and energy, and to the housekeeping team who went above and beyond moving the bridal party’s chaos from our prep lodge into the honeymoon suite so it was all ready for us. The venue itself is perfect for a more intimate wedding - nestled in beautiful woodland with speckled light, reflections across the lake, and just seconds from the breathtaking Yorkshire views of Surprise Point. The photo opportunities are endless, and the setting feels both magical and personal. We’re so glad we chose local, not only for the wonderful service but also so we can come back and relive the memories. The complimentary spa access for wedding couples the month before the day was an amazing bonus, giving us time to relax together in the run-up which can be a pretty stressful time. We cannot recommend the Chevin Hotel and Spa enough - they didn’t just host our day, they were part of what made it so special. Thank you and lots of love The Reeses 🧡

The Chilli Barn was the perfect venue for our wedding. The setting is beautiful, and the team are an incredibly well-oiled operation - seamlessly coordinating with all our vendors so that everything on the day just happened, without us having to think about it. A huge part of that was Leah, their wedding planner, who was enthusiastic, patient, and consistently one step ahead - regularly asking questions we wouldn't have thought to ask ourselves. She was also brilliantly accommodating with our specific requests without ever making us feel like we were being awkward. The food was genuinely excellent - we are both foodies and were very satisfied. They worked with a very loose suggestion from us and created a tomato and lentil tart that was a highlight of the day, and there was plenty of it - something that can't always be said of wedding catering. We also added some meat pies to the sharing board, which omnivores really appreciated. The wine list is short but excellent: all vegan and organic, and if you ask they can suggest bottles from their suppliers beyond the standard list. We ended up ordering six bottles to try beforehand, which was a very enjoyable couple of weeks. We'd also strongly recommend booking the tipi as a breakaway space. Once the music was going in the evening, some guests retreated there, lit the stove, and it was very cosy. We'd strongly recommend the Chilli Barn!
