Wedding Venues in Halifax

Was a lovely day from start to finish, the whole process of planning the wedding was easy they listened to what we wanted as a couple and was on hand the help out if needed. We would definitely recommend the moorlands it a beautiful place and stunning surrounds the walled garden is lovely staff are friendly

We had our wedding at The Fleece this year (March 2026). All I can say is, these people know what they are doing! Amazing service from top to bottom, highly recommended!

From start to finish, our experience with The Arches was amazing. We worked with Kat and Sam and there wasn’t a question they couldn’t help us with or a request they couldn’t fulfill. Sam especially went to extra lengths to ensure the wedding was our own and all our guests were extremely happy. We had the most incredible day and it was all thanks to them!

Our wedding at the venue was just PERFECT!! The attention to detail, the smooth running of the day and the friendlies of Rebecca the co-ordinator and all the lovely staff. Everyone was so kind, polite and always making sure everyone was happy. Our guests were so impressed and the food was incredible 🤤😍  The day ran so smoothly, I had no worries or stress the team had everything under control, every email I sent over whilst planning our big day was responded to promptly and nothing was ever to much for any of the team. The venue is beautiful, so picturesque and the outdoors is stunning, the minute I looked around the venue I knew it was the place for us and we wish we could do it all over. To sum up our day at the venue, it was everything and more.

Southwood was an amazing venue for our wedding, local in our area its a hidden gem. The place is stunning and makes for lovely photographs. I had the pleasure of Lydia and Hannah to help me plan the day, they were both so helpful and on hand to answer any questions and help with any queries or ideas I had. Nothing was too much trouble and they both played a huge part it making the day we had planned come to life. The team on the day were great too, the meal was delicious and we got lots of compliments from guests how lovely it was too. A great day was had by all and I’m so glad we chose Southwood for our venue.

Wow what a venue! We couldn't recommend Holdsworth House enough! We fell in love the second we walked through the door! This place has so much character and the grounds are just beautiful! Ruby and Olga were there every step of the way with any questions we had, whether that was while we were at the venue or over the phone. Every single staff member was amazing and made our day so effortless! The food is to DIE for! Every guest still comments now on how amazing the food and venue were. Thank you so much for hosting the wedding of our dreams!

Well where do we start... We booked our wedding here for 18/08/2018. We fell in love with the place once we had been shown around , it fitted with what we wanted with it having rooms for our guests who had to travel to spend our big day with us. We decided on a vintage theme wedding with traditional afternoon tea which we were assured could be done no problem. Not all of the venues we enquired about could do this on such a large scale. Every meeting had with Claire & Kevin was pretty much informal effortless but pretty much to the point which made us feel relaxed & nothing seemed to phase either of them. We had a image in our minds of how the day would be and the team at the hobbit delivered a day far more than we could of ever imagined it too be like. The room was perfect... the ceremony went like clock work...the afternoon tea was a real success even catering for my wife's allergy was no problem at all for the chef and his team... its definitely the best afternoon we've ever had and that was echoed by our guests... the whole team pulled together under Claire's leadership and delivered a day that our guests are still talking about now and will be for a long time to come. The team at the hobbit made our day perfect one we shall never forget. We cannot thank you all enough for the effort put in by the whole hobbit team for our day and special thanks to Claire & Kevin they are the nicest people you can hope to deal with. Minarli and her staff gave us our dream wedding. Nothing was too much trouble! They were absolutely incredible every step of the way from the day we first met right through to the wedding. We put together a bespoke day which looked exactly how we wanted it to look and they were able to quote for this and deviate from their packages to accommodate us. When we changed our mind about various bits of the day, this was accommodated right away. They even accommodated some of my culture's traditions which involved bringing homemade pita and setting up various bits. Planning the wedding with Minarli felt like I was planning with a friend who was just as excited as I was! She was warm, accommodating and extremely flexible. On the day, everything was incredible. We paid a little extra to have the Malthouse dress the venue and they did an incredible job using the existing decorations and our own decorations giving us a warm, cozy and rustic Christmas venue. Minarli coordinated with all our external vendors too to ensure the cake was set up, and later the saxophonist and DJ also knew where to set up and when to play. The food was absolutely delicious too! Everything from the Cheese Ploughman's with the welcome drinks (we had mulled wine as a special request), to the delicious wedding breakfast and even the bacon sandwiches in the evening! People commented it's the best food they'd had at a wedding, and there were lots of comments about how the bacon sandwiches in particular were clearly made with proper butcher's bacon. No expense was spared on the food and drinks provided from the Malthouse and yet the price we paid was extremely reasonable and very competitive. We stayed at the Malthouse on the night of our wedding and the room was lovely and breakfast was absolutely delicious as well! On the next morning, everything was neatly packed for us to pick up from the function room. I can't recommend the Malthouse enough! It is the perfect wedding venue with the perfect staff.
