Me and my husband got married at Carr Bank Wedding Venue on the 11th of April. It was the best day, we couldn’t have wished for more. Ellie, Nicky and the team were amazing from the day we booked the wedding until now. Communication was always there and we were never left with unanswered questions or anxieties. The planning meetings were smooth sailing and nothing was ever too much to ask. Ellie and Nicky welcomed some of our unique ideas without question and made them happen. Even with simple things such as choosing our centrepieces, they set a few out so we could see it for ourselves and helped make every fine detail perfect. On the day of the wedding, they were absolute superstars. From calming last minute nerves, running to aid my 4 year old with sweets after he had bumped his head, to sending some staff out to take photos that my photographer may have forgotten… everything they did was above and beyond with nothing but love and care. We chose BBQ food for our wedding breakfast and the food that was served was delicious. The variety of foods that they served was so inclusive for all guests. There were many compliments. The bar staff were so lovely, polite and friendly. They certainly had a busy shift that day, they served with a smile and interacted with our guests and everyone always had a drink in hand and served so promptly. The day went by so fast and we couldn’t have wished for a better venue. The team at Carr Bank treat you as a bunch of friends and not just another couple putting money into the venues pocket, they care beyond belief and do everything possible to make everything as perfect as they can. The next morning, we stumbled down for breakfast and nothing seemed like too much trouble to any of the staff. Leaving the venue the next morning was so difficult as we just wanted to stay with them and have more fun! Thank you so much to everyone at Carr Bank for making our dream wedding vision come to life xxx

We had our wedding in June 2025 at Newstead Abbey, and could not have asked for a better day. Newstead is close to our hearts and to get married here in this perfect setting was a dream come true. The abbey is stunning and having access to the grounds in the evening for our photos led to some spectacular captures. The team could not have been more helpful, from our first meeting until after the day had completed. Chelsea led us through everything we’d need to know during the planning while Lydia, Toby, and Chloe took over nearer to the time and on the day. The day ran so smoothly and we couldn’t have done it without them! It was great to have the ceremony and reception in one place, with plenty of space for all our guests to enjoy themselves. The ceremony room is gorgeous and includes walking around the cloisters which felt so special. We particularly liked having our evening disco outside in the courtyard area too. It's also helpful knowing you have exclusive access to the venue the day before and after - this made set up and tidying up afterwards stress free. If you’re looking for a wedding venue in Nottinghamshire, Newstead Abbey is just so beautiful and you’ll be spoiled on your special day!
