Cuckney House is an irresistibly romantic small wedding venue for up to fifty guests, and our approach allows you to curate a wedding that is unique to you.
The beautiful Georgian Manor has four reception rooms, a panelled ballroom, private landscaped gardens and a walled garden to create the idyllic backdrop for your special day.
When it comes to accommodation, your guests will have the run of the house and its fifteen bedrooms, sleeping up to forty in total. We also have nine-holiday cottages on the estate that can be hired separately for any additional guests.
Facilities
Cuckney House is licensed to hold civil ceremonies in our outdoor small Victorian pavilion, dining room or stunning panelled ballroom.
There is also a beautiful Grade I listed Parish Church dating back to the 12th Century only a few minutes walk from Cuckney House, where we can put you in touch with the friendly local vicar.
The landscaped gardens are idyllic for reception drinks or choose from the bar, drawing room or dining room. The wedding breakfast can take place in the elegant, panelled ballroom, which seats up to fifty or the dining room, which seats up to twenty-eight. If you prefer informal outdoor dining, you could hire outdoor heaters and create a fairy-lit haven in the walled garden dining area, which seats twenty. We also have a marquee that can be hired at an additional cost.
The panelled ballroom makes a great disco /dance floor area, and music can continue until 11 p.m.
Services Offered
The house and its five acres of grounds are exclusively yours during your stay, meaning you have full use of all the house's facilities, including the kitchen, bar, games room, tennis court, two hot tubs, table tennis table and badminton court.
The venue also has ample private parking and an electric car charging area.
The house is powered by renewable energy heat sources and solar panels, making it ideal for climate change-conscious couples.

Originally from South Africa, I now live on Welbeck Estate with my family and manage Cuckney House and the nine-holiday cottages.
