Historic Wedding Venues in Nottinghamshire

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better wedding venue. From start to finish, the team were so helpful and supportive throughout the entire planning process, nothing ever felt like too much trouble. On the day itself, the staff were amazing — friendly, organised and made everything run so smoothly, which meant we could just relax and enjoy every moment. Thank you all so much for helping make our day so special, we’re so grateful!

Thank you so much Carmel and Jai and the rest of the staff for making our special day so memorable. Our extra special thanks go to Carmel for all of her help and advice prior to the day and then on the day for her hosting skills. Also Jai deserves our thanks for his helpful input and friendliness. Everything about the day was BEYOND our expectations. The venue looked absolutely stunning. The wedding breakfast and buffet were delicious, attested to by ALL of our guests. The service by the staff for the wedding breakfast was outstanding and equally so for the buffet. They all went the extra mile for us to make it perfect. They were cheerful, polite, friendly, attentive and professional. We could not have wished for anything better. The evening venue was also outstanding and perfect for our live amazing singer Hanousha. The dance floor was perfect for the size of the room and it was never empty. Our guests loved it . The staff behind the bar did a sterling job which was much appreciated. During the evening celebrations, the staff were just as attentive as they had been during the day. They even went as far as gathering and boxing up the things we needed to take home with us. Wedding gifts , cards, wedding cake, table decorations etc. making it a seamless and easy process for us when our time came to leave. We could not recommend Rufford Mill Wedding venue more highly for anyone thinking of looking for their PERFECT wedding venue. It really does not get better than this on every level. From the very beginning, Chloe made us feel so welcome and looked after us brilliantly when we first viewed the venue and throughout the booking process. She was always so helpful, friendly, and reassuring, which made everything feel so easy and exciting from the start. On the wedding day itself, Laura truly took control of everything and made sure the whole day ran seamlessly. Having someone so organised, calm, and attentive meant we could completely relax and enjoy every moment without worrying about a thing. Nothing was too much trouble, and we genuinely felt so well cared for throughout the entire day.

Since the minute we saw the Pumping House online we knew there was no other venue we even wanted to consider! Everything from initial first contact to the follow up email after our wedding was much more than ever expected! The venue speaks for itself in style and atmosphere, the staff are so friendly and polite and the food just amazing! Thank you to everyone involved for the best day of our lives!

The team at Thoresby Park were fantastic in the discovery, planning, setup and delivery of our wedding - big thank you to Natasha and the team for making it such an easy process and such a fantastic day! The team handled all our questions with clarity and patience, and really did the most to make the vision of our wedding reception come to life. We came the day before with our family to decorate the Riding Hall (which is already stunning with thousands of twinkling lights) and we had a lot of freedom to do what we wanted with the place. Our families also stayed on the on-site AirBnBs and had the best time. On the day, the secret garden had a lot of use from our guests, who enjoyed playing games with live music outside. Our three course meal was absolutely fabulous and everyone loved it (the chef went the extra mile and even made us two some béarnaise sauce for our roast even though it wasn’t very traditional!). Overall, we had a really special time and made some wonderful memories at Thoresby - we couldn’t recommend this place more highly for a wedding. (Photography by Will Lomas)

From our initial viewing to the big day the team at Newark Town Hall, Victoria especially made our rather bespoke day so special. They were so accommodating with our requests for a small and intimate ceremony and meal which meant our families were close and connected throughout the day which was our aim. The staff were friendly and professional and their support during the organisation was excellent, we really couldn’t think of a better value for money venue which gives a personal service and high quality food at a fraction of the cost of other exclusive use venues. Don’t be put off by the public element of being in the market square, parking nearby is easy and the venue hosts everything you need for a very special wedding.
