We had simple the best wedding weekend at Huntsham. We had been trying to find a venue that would fit as many of our guests in overnight as possible, coupled with the flexibility around bringing in suppliers of our choice and free corkage. Our wedding planner Natalie made the whole planning process totally stress free and she was brilliant over the entire weekend. Our guests still talk about just how good the venue was, balancing feeling like you are in a home and can relax with luxury interiors. We couldn't recommend this special place more!

Seriously, we have been to loads of weddings over the years and we both agree that the wedding breakfast was singularly the best ever. Food was timely, hot, served without fuss and everyone got what they had picked. Customer service was faultless - just the right mix of care and attentiveness, but entirely unobtrusive. Also, the waiting staff were so good at their jobs that they brought a sense of calm efficiency. Nothing was too much trouble. The eating experience was faultless. Ample portions, of absolutely perfectly cooked food. The venue was spotlessly clean and warm. The loos were immaculate. CEO at Holne Park House, you have a great business there, well done for all you do and in every sense, your staff did you proud, so please do pass that on to them. They earn every penny you pay them! Thank you for making this a really wonderful experience for us all.

We got married at Tawstock Court recently and had the most amazing day! The venue itself is so beautiful (the photo opportunities are incredible) and having use of all the different rooms worked so perfectly for us and our guests! Laura and her team were absolutely fantastic, so helpful beforehand and ensured everything ran smoothly on the day, making sure we were in the right place and the right time and just generally making all our guests feel welcome! We went for the Country House package and felt it was incredibly good value for money compared to other local venues.

The venue itself is unbelievable and won’t disappoint, one of the reasons for making our wedding so enjoyable. The booking process was super easy, found a free weekend, spoke to Ellice and within hours had paid our deposit. Would highly recommend viewing the venue both before and after you book so you can plan what you’re doing to it. We loved the fact there was accommodation upstairs, fitted our style perfectly and the guests loved it. Everything bedrooms, toilets, showers) were super clean; everyone loved it and had no complaints. The grounds itself were beautiful and we made sure to made use the fire pit, pool table, ping pong table and lake. We also enjoyed the fact the staff left you to it over the weekend so you could enjoy your time there.was incredibly handy having bar staff and the option of further staff to help out. In the weeks/months leading up to our weeding, Ellice, Rebecca, Briony were all super responsive, happy to answer any question we had and contactable on the day. The only minor frustration we had was the weak wifi connection which impacted the card machine working for the bar, but likely as a result of the location/building. So so glad we booked Colehayes and was one of the main reasons our weeding was so special!

We booked Elfordleigh 2 years ahead of time and met with our wedding coordinators several times to plan out big day. We really liked the all-inclusive package and having the vendors chosen for us and being local. On the day, we hired the bridal suite to get ready in and got married in the Reynolds Suite with the reception in the Elite Suite. We had 60 day guests and it was perfect size, the only issue we had was that it was hot in the hotel rooms and ceremony room as they only had air con in the Elite Suite. The staff are fantastic and the food was amazing! Definitely recommend Elfordleigh.

Nicky and Simon (the venue owners) were such a delight to deal with. The main reason we booked this venue was because of them, it was just a bonus their home is surrounded by beautiful gardens which we made full use of; having an outdoor wedding. They were both more than happy to help and guide us during the planning process and from this we booked a few of their recommended suppliers, that were great. The Gallery and barn which were also included in the price along with the gardens are charming, and were the perfect place to host our evening entertainment. The next day we made use of their amazing grounds again for a game of rounder's and a picnic. While our guests played off their hangovers, Nicky and Simon kindly helped us clear away. Even their lovely daughter helped out by taking our recycling to the recycling bank, which we didn't expect her to do but were very grateful for. We couldn't thank them enough, we had a wonderful wedding in enchanting surroundings! We would highly recommend and will remember their magical venue fondly!

When looking for a venue, we knew straight away that we wanted to get married at Furzeleigh Mill and didn’t even look anywhere else. In fact we were the first couple to get married here and trust me, everything was perfect, we were in capable hands and nothing went wrong. We had stayed at the venue previously and could not fault them - the food, the service, the rooms, the decor - everything was just perfect for our bijou wedding. Although the venue is small with 10 rooms, you have exclusive use, which suited us. The staff treat you like family, they are very welcoming and responsive and nothing is too much. We were married on #twosday in February so didn’t make use of the outdoor space, however I don’t doubt it will make for a lovely wedding with the moors as a backdrop. We are not local to Devon and visit/stay or eat at the venue whenever we can. Note: price is excluding rooms. Venue and food only.

We made the fantastic decision to book with Mandy and Tom at Moorhead for our wedding, we got married at the local church and from the lawn at Moorhead you can see the church and village, which was so special for us. From our initial enquiry to the wedding day, Mandy and Tom could not have been more helpful! They were really quick to give responses from our other suppliers and kept in contact with us through the planning process. Our guests stayed from Friday to Sunday and we had so many compliments on the venue and accommodation. We used the horse box bar on both our welcome party on Friday and on the wedding day on Saturday and it looked great next to the sailcloth marquee we had hired. Moorhead provided the food for Friday which was delicious and there was such a chilled atmosphere in the garden and in the bar, It was such a family friendly venue and our guests loved using the pool on Friday night and Saturday morning. We booked breakfast with Moorhead as well which was great! - If you're looking for a DIY venue with great accommodation then Moorhead is perfect!
