We had our day recently and it was perfect in every single way. From attending open evenings, to booking, throughout the planning stages and the day itself. East Mersea Hall and all the staff there were everything and more that we could ask for, Anneka especially.
Nothing was too much, our ideas were embraced with such enthusiasm and our dream came to life.
On the day Anneka was there from start to end, enduring the day was as stress free for us as possible and she truly nailed it. She is an asset to the venue.
The venue itself has everything we could have asked for, a woodland, pavilion, beautiful outside area and lake - the perfect setting to our Autumnal wedding.
Our over night stay in the Bridal Suite was comfortable and provided the much needed rest and relaxation.
We couldn’t recommend this venue highly enough, it is perfection in every aspect.

From the moment we went to our first viewing, we knew that East Mersea Hall was the right venue for us. Anneka Hill gave us a tour, and she was immediately warm, knowledgeable, and put us at ease throughout the entire process – right down to knowing which trees would have autumnal colours by the time our October wedding came around.

No question or query from us was ever too much for Anneka and the team, and they had prompt, helpful responses to anything we threw their way. This, coupled with the intimate pre-wedding meetings and tastings, gave us so much confidence that we’d chosen the perfect place to celebrate our wedding. They made us feel like our wedding was the only one happening that year, and showed genuine interest and passion in every decision we made.

On the big day itself, Anneka and her team were incredible from the start. All of our decorations were presented exactly as intended, and the entire morning ran smoothly thanks to their professionalism and friendliness. Many of the guests even commented on how excellent the staff all were, and no request was too much for them to fulfil.

The reception drinks, canapes, and wedding breakfast were all handled with maximum care, too. Guests were well fed throughout the entire day, and so many guests have let us know that their meal at East Mersea Hall was amongst some of the best food they’ve ever had. The evening hog roast also went down a treat, and I’ll be thinking about that crackling for a long time to come.

Once all was said and done, I was a little sad we wouldn’t get to work with Anneka and her team again. Their consideration made our wedding day perfect, and I would recommend East Mersea Hall to anyone and everyone looking for a wedding venue.

We couldn’t have wished for a more perfect wedding experience! From the first visit to the big day, Anneka and the team were absolutely incredible. Anneka helped guided us through every step and made us feel so relaxed and at ease. The professionalism and genuine care was amazing and made the lead-up to the day so smooth and enjoyable. The smaller details in the lead up like the menu tasting, made the experience even more magical.

On the wedding day, everything was in such reliable hands; the coordination was seamless and the team made sure we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Being dairy intolerant, I felt completely comfortable and relaxed knowing everything was catered for and no trouble at all, I trusted them!

Our guests were blown away by the stunning venue, the delicious food, and the outstanding service. The staff had such positive energy, which made them feel like additional guests and truly part of the celebration rather than external staff (while still being so professional).

From the moment we booked, they made us feel like our day truly mattered and not just another wedding. We felt like the most important celebration which meant the world to us.

We planned our wedding from Canada and it was seamless. Jess and Anneka had everything covered and were super responsive and keen to help. We got married in the woodlands which was so special to us, getting married outdoors in nature. We felt this was something unique to East Mersea Hall. We loved having the whole venue to ourselves for the day.

East Mersea Hall is an amazing and beautiful venue, with multiple ceremony locations to choose from. We would highly recommend for anyone getting married in the future to choose this venue. They are a very friendly and professional team. Anneka was great from start to finish and was always on hand to answer anything we needed. On the day of the wedding the whole team showcased their hard work and determination to ensure everyone had a great day. The food was delicious and the portions were the perfect size. We thought the cost of our wedding was very reasonable for what the venue provided and their services.

There’s nothing this venue and the amazing team cannot achieve for you. From our initial viewing to the morning after our big day, we had the most amazing experience. Anneka & Kirsty were always there to answer our silly questions and give advice. Our day ran smoothly from start to finish by the help of Jess. They are experts and we will forever be grateful to them.

The most amazing venue, put us at such ease from the very beginning and made our whole journey from booking to getting married such an incredible experience. The grounds are simply stunning and both the pavilion and ceremony room are gorgeous. Every single member of staff are a credit to the venue, all incredibly helpful who go above and beyond. The food, nothing short of amazing with plenty of options to choose from to cater to everyone’s needs. And there really is no better way to end the day than a boat photo on the venues lake. A must-choose wedding venue, simply beautiful!

I can’t even put into words how incredible our wedding day at East Mersea Hall was. The venue itself is picturesque and maintained to perfection with some beautiful hidden gems for the best pictures. Our day was fantastic from start to finish, The most amazing team, reassuring and professional all the way through. The grounds looked beautiful, the ceremony room was magical. Anneka, our wedding planner was just the best. She guided Steve and I through the day seamlessly. She understood from the very beginning what our vision was and made it happen. The staff were faultless, nothing was too much trouble. They were so friendly and welcoming to all of our guests. We had the BBQ wedding breakfast and everybody was so impressed with the food. We had the best day ever, it really couldn't have gone any better. All of our guests have said what a fabulous day it was. I want to do it all again!!!!

We recently got married at EMH. This was the first and only venue we viewed as we were blown away with its beauty and relaxed feeling which was what we were after. We met Anneka who was very down to earth and put us at ease and we booked the venue without a second thought!
Anneka, Kirsty and her team were very approachable and there was never a moment when we felt stressed or overwhelmed with their communication. We attended taster evenings which was a real treat and we chose the bbq menu which was delicious and all our guests loved it!
Whilst there isn’t accommodation for guests, there is a bridal suite which you stay in on the night of the wedding which is spacious and it was lovely getting ready there on the morning of the wedding.
EMH is a very special place and we were so proud to have our wedding there and our guests couldn’t compliment the venue enough!

Words can not express the gratitude we feel towards the wonderful team at East Mersea Hall. The venue is like a fairytale and the team made it all come true. The day was perfect including the weather, the decor, the food, the fireworks, the atmosphere, the staff and the management.
As bride and groom we were able to completely relax and enjoy our day with our friends and family without any concerns for the running of events as the management team at EMH in particular Jess did the most incredible job.
All the staff were delightful, working to ensure everyone was looked after. We couldn’t recommend EMH enough. The entire experience from start to finish (oh no it’s over) was fantastic. And our guests requested we have a party : day like that every Saturday! So we will see you at our five / ten / fifteen and every anniversary.
