I don’t actually think I have the words to express how INCREDIBLE everything about our wedding day was!!! From the initial booking all the way up until the day!
Anneka was OUTSTANDING!!!!! She couldn’t do enough for us and was so accommodating and flexible when a few things needed adjusting last minute and didn’t make me worry at all. I felt 100% confident in Anneka and her team and I was so right to. They all worked so hard, the day ran so smoothly and Anneka had remembered every single touch and vision I had asked and to see that being created after working so hard over the past year made all of the stressing worth it!!!
Our guests all commented on how amazing our day was, from the food, the running of the day, the grounds and the attention to detail. My husband and I are feeling so incredibly blessed to have had the day of our dreams and we are so sad I cannot go back to re-live it all!
Thank you SO much for everything!!! East Mersea Hall is the best place on earth to get married and we cannot recommend it highly enough! We definitely got our happily ever after.

Flawless Execution and a Magical Day!
The absolute best decision we made for our Big Day was to get married at East Mersea Hall. It is by far the most romantic venue I've ever seen for a wedding. Everything went so smoothly on the day all helped by stress-free planning by our Events Manager from start to finish. The staff were so helpful and very professional, they had everything covered. They exceeded every expectation – 10 out of 10 to East Mersea Hall and all the staff!

WOW, Just Wow!!! If you’re thinking of booking this venue, then do it!! It’ll be the best decision you have ever made!! 2 weeks ago today, me and my husband Charlie, had the most magical wedding day that we could have ever dreamed of 🥹 and it was all thanks to East Mersea Hall & The Staff!! Anneka our wedding planner, is absolutely amazing!! So professional, organised and with you every step of the way! Nothing is too much for her and she helped me pull of so many surprises (a surprise birthday cake, surprise groom, fireworks etc) I could not recommend her enough!! From start to finish, we just had the perfect day, all the little touches, the outside ceremony was stunning, the lake and boat ride is beautiful, the reception and food was amazing and the party and dance floor in the evening was such good vibes!! All of our guests could not believe how beautiful the venue was and how amazing the food and entertainment also were! Everyone has still been talking about it weeks later!! I wish we could relive the day again and again!! But I am so glad we chose EMH as we 100% made the right choice and I’d choose them over and over!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Beautiful venue, beautiful staff & beautiful service!
EMH were incredible! The venue alone is stunning and such a hidden treasure in Mersea, so many people were asking how we found it! We got married outside which was perfect but EMH had a plan for everything. Anneka was particularly amazing and we are so grateful for her support. Compared to other venues in the area, was a lot cheaper and so much was included in the whole price which we were able to pay monthly to spread it out and personally so much more gorgeous than any other venue nearby. We had the best day ever and cannot thank everyone at EMH enough.

Holly, and all the team, at East Mersea couldn’t have made our day any better! From the moment we first arrive to view the venue, to the morning after the wedding when we were left everything was so thought out and well organised. They catered for all our guests needs and made everyone feel special on the day. We honestly couldn’t recommend them enough and if we could get married again we wouldn’t choose anywhere else other than here!

Stunning venue
Our wedding venue was absolutely stunning. Every single guest commented on how beautiful it was. It provided the most perfect setting for our day and completely exceeded our expectations.
Anneka was incredible throughout the entire process and made sure everything ran as smoothly as possible from start to finish. Her professionalism, kindness and attention to detail made such a difference, her communication was amazing, she always replied promptly, answered every question without fail and made us feel supported every step of the way.

Fairytale venue!
People talk about the feeling when you find ‘the’ wedding dress - that’s how we felt when we found THE venue. This venue.
The energy and attitude of the staff was unlike anywhere else we visited. They just felt so real. They were so excited for us at every step of the way, but always managed to stay calm and keep me calm because they’ve done this so many times!
Initially, we spoke to Anneka a lot and then Holly joined the team and became our point of contact. They are both amazing women, and Holly was an absolute godsend on the day. Nothing was too big or too small for Holly, and she made me feel calm and relaxed all day long. She made sure me and my husband were looked after at every step, that we remembered to take a breath, take a bite, have a sip! I feel like she would have tried to find the gold at the end of the rainbow if I had needed it on the day, because she was willing to go above and beyond.
The venue itself doesn’t need any dressing up, because it is so so gorgeous all on its own. The house, the lake, the pavilion all speak for themselves. It really feels magical just to be there. All the arches around the place feel like hidden treasure photo spots, and Anneka and Holly even managed to get me on the boat!!! The food was incredible, a DJ was included, we had all the guests we wanted, and it all came in at well under our budget.
You truly could not find a better venue, a better team, for a better price.
I am so sad the wedding is over, because we loved doing this here. If you choose this venue, you will too!

From start to finish, the staff were truly outstanding and went above and beyond in every possible way. They made sure we had everything we needed at all times, allowing us to completely relax and enjoy the day without a single worry. The most perfect day!
What can I say! The most perfect venue!
Anneka and her team are the absolute best!
As a same sex marriage we had no idea what to do when we viewed the venue, Anneka put us both at ease immediately and said do whatever you want, we can accomodate it, and they certainlty did.
Professional but also with humour, they created our dream wedding! It was like planning a wedding with your best friend!
The day ran pefeclty smooth right to the very end, nothing was too much trouble!
We had the twilight BBQ, the food is amazing and so much of it. We throughly recommend East Mersea Hall!

Perfection
We had our day recently and it was perfect in every single way. From attending open evenings, to booking, throughout the planning stages and the day itself. East Mersea Hall and all the staff there were everything and more that we could ask for, Anneka especially.
Nothing was too much, our ideas were embraced with such enthusiasm and our dream came to life.
On the day Anneka was there from start to end, enduring the day was as stress free for us as possible and she truly nailed it. She is an asset to the venue.
The venue itself has everything we could have asked for, a woodland, pavilion, beautiful outside area and lake - the perfect setting to our Autumnal wedding.
Our over night stay in the Bridal Suite was comfortable and provided the much needed rest and relaxation.
We couldn’t recommend this venue highly enough, it is perfection in every aspect.
Nothing was too much, our ideas were embraced with such enthusiasm and our dream came to life.
On the day Anneka was there from start to end, enduring the day was as stress free for us as possible and she truly nailed it. She is an asset to the venue.

Anneka Hill gave us a tour, and she was immediately warm, knowledgeable, and put us at ease throughout the entire process – right down to knowing which trees would have autumnal colours by the time our October wedding came around.
No question or query from us was ever too much for Anneka and the team, and they had prompt, helpful responses to anything we threw their way. This, coupled with the intimate pre-wedding meetings and tastings, gave us so much confidence that we’d chosen the perfect place to celebrate our wedding. They made us feel like our wedding was the only one happening that year, and showed genuine interest and passion in every decision we made.
On the big day itself, Anneka and her team were incredible from the start. All of our decorations were presented exactly as intended, and the entire morning ran smoothly thanks to their professionalism and friendliness. Many of the guests even commented on how excellent the staff all were, and no request was too much for them to fulfil.
The reception drinks, canapes, and wedding breakfast were all handled with maximum care, too. Guests were well fed throughout the entire day, and so many guests have let us know that their meal at East Mersea Hall was amongst some of the best food they’ve ever had. The evening hog roast also went down a treat, and I’ll be thinking about that crackling for a long time to come.

We couldn’t have wished for a more perfect wedding experience! From the first visit to the big day, Anneka and the team were absolutely incredible. Anneka helped guided us through every step and made us feel so relaxed and at ease. The professionalism and genuine care was amazing and made the lead-up to the day so smooth and enjoyable. The smaller details in the lead up like the menu tasting, made the experience even more magical.
On the wedding day, everything was in such reliable hands; the coordination was seamless and the team made sure we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Being dairy intolerant, I felt completely comfortable and relaxed knowing everything was catered for and no trouble at all, I trusted them!
Our guests were blown away by the stunning venue, the delicious food, and the outstanding service. The staff had such positive energy, which made them feel like additional guests and truly part of the celebration rather than external staff (while still being so professional).
