Wedding Venues in Merseyside

We held our wedding day + night at Mercure Haydock May 2025 - Booked 18 months prior , amazing communication via email or phone with Nicola, Stephanie & their team. Nothing was ever a bother (Especially me adding everything on last minute!) We stayed the night before and staff couldnt do enough for us - Rooms / Suites all very comfortable, clean & spacious. Variety of pastries, hot & cold food for breakfast. Defenitley recommend Mercure, we will sure be staying more often! Thanks again Team for my our day so special!

We booked the Crowne Plaza for our 60th birthday party/secret wedding celebration due to the location and we were not disappointed. The venue was ideal and the staff could not be more helpful in helping us arrange everything and to keep our wedding reveal secret. They went above and beyond to help us organise everything so that it went smoothly. The buffet was also excellent. A special mention for Carla and Kasey who were very friendly, professional and helpful. My only criticism would be communicating with the hub. Although, they answered any questions promptly they, on occasions, provided the wrong information. For example, one 3 separate occasions they planned a meeting for me at the hotel with a named member of staff but, when arriving the particular member of staff was not available. On one occasion we had to wait 45 minutes for a different member of staff to arrive. However, the staff at the hotel sorted out any problems and restored my confidence in that we had chosen the right venue. It's a shame that the Hub and hotel don't communicate with each other to ensure there are no worries/problems. Dealing with the staff at the hotel straight away was the ideal solution. All the staff at the hotel, including the breakfast staff, reception (Charley), catering and bar staff and as mentioned previously; Carla and Kasey were an asset to the hotel. Thank you The ambassador room was also very good.

We were recently married here and I cant thank the Events team and staff enough, they went above and beyond, the food was amazing and the wedding was amazing value for what we had. I liked that they could offer something different to just a sit down one fit all meal for the wedding. We had afternoon tea which was a hit as it was different, the food in the evening was amazing also and there was a great variety. We received complementary upgrades. They helped so much in making the day run smoothly. Their recommended venue dresser and DJ were fab too, the ceremony room was dressed beautifully as was the room for the wedding breakfast. I wish I could do it all again as it was perfect from start to finish. Thank you Malmaison Liverpool and Leanne for making our day so special in so many ways.

From the moment you drive through Knowsley Hall’s gates and see lambs grazing, the experience is pure magic. The grandeur of the drive up to the house is something out of a royal tale—impossibly elegant, truly Bridgerton-esque. The staff? Impeccable. I stayed overnight after orchestrating a wedding for my American bride, and I can’t praise the team enough for their flawless hospitality. As a planner, I collaborate with countless venues, but Knowsley Hall is in a league of its own. I’ll absolutely be returning with future couples. And, if you look closely, you might even spot the Earl of Derby strolling the grounds. As a planner, I work with many venues, but Knowsley Hall stands out. I’ll absolutely be recommending it to future couples—it’s truly a gem!

The Adelphi Hotel was a fanatic place to hold my son’s wedding. The rooms are spacious and quite beautiful. Jane, the wedding coordinator was incredible. She was professional, friendly and beyond helpful. Would definitely recommend the hotel and Jane. We had a fantastic experience from start to finish.

The service that was provided from the very start was outstanding. The staff were extremely courteous and polite. We could not have wished for a better service.

We had our wedding at Meols Hall and it was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The venue is simply breathtaking and full of charm, character, and romance. The beautiful cobbled courtyard, the stunning Tithe Barn, and the surrounding grounds created the most magical backdrop for our day. Every part of it felt timeless and elegant, yet warm and welcoming. The team at Meols Hall were amazing to work with. They were so friendly, professional, and attentive, making sure everything ran smoothly and exactly as we’d envisioned. Nothing was too much trouble, and their experience really shone through we felt completely at ease knowing we were in such good hands. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the venue, and we truly couldn’t imagine a more perfect place to celebrate our wedding. Meols Hall has this wonderful combination of history, beauty, and intimacy that makes it so special. We’ll treasure our memories there forever and would recommend Meols Hall to anyone looking for a truly unforgettable wedding venue. It was everything we hoped for and so much more. ❤️

Got married here on Saturday. The day from start to finish was perfect!!! Special thank you to Lauren who sorted everything, any time I had a question she couldn’t have been more helpful, and on the day Emil who couldn’t have done enough for me! Literally everything I imagined and more. Wish I could do it every weekend. Would highly recommend having your wedding here

We had the most amazing wedding at Formby Hall in September 2026. The venue is beautiful and we just wish we could do it all again. We were so impressed with the food and this was one of the things which really stood out to us and our guests. We had a taster meal beforehand and we made a few tiny changes and nothing was too much trouble. The quality of the food is outstanding and all our guests spoke about how it was the best food they had tasted at a wedding. To us that was a really important part of the day as a lot of the cost goes towards the food. The planning was stress free and everything was taken care of. We couldn’t have asked for a better day from start to finish. The sun was shining and we had our reception outside overlooking the beautiful golf course. We had expected much from the weather so that was a welcomed surprise. I stayed at the hotel with a few bridesmaids the night before the wedding in large room where I also got ready the next day. Few little things I would say for feedback is the staff organising the breakfast on the morning of the wedding and the day after to our rooms need to be more organised, both times we needed to chase this up but was actioned afterwards. We didn’t ask to see the wedding suite but I wish I would have as although our room on the night of our wedding was lovely , from looking at photos of the other rooms possibly suites , their are nicer rooms available which I am sure we could have used especially when your paying so much money. We decided to book in for a couples massage the day after the wedding, this was amazing so I would recommend to anyone. We choose to have our wedding in the ambassador suite and used ‘One events’ who I would also highly recommend. One events are A married couple who can dress your room, do your flowers and also Gaz the husband of the fantastic duo did our photographs. We would also highly recommend impressions weddings a guy called Dom, he was our videographer and we were so happy with what he created for us. Both One events and Impressions do many weddings within Formby hall so are very experienced in the venue and also working together, which was fantastic and really made everyone comfortable on the day. Our cake was by Claire’s cakes based in Southport again would highly recommend. It was beautiful and tasted great. I would look at DJs maybe not recommended by Formby hall as we used one of their recommendations and he wasn’t the best . We also had a band playing in the evening which was fantastic. Overall I would highly recommend Formby Hall for your wedding, it’s a beautiful venue and you won’t be disappointed. The planning was stress team , the team work hard and are great. Thank you to everyone at Formby hall for making our day so incredible.

We got married at Hulme Hall on the 29th June 2009 and it was fantastic from the outset, the staff are very helpful, friendly and very efficient. the building is beautifully maintained and clean. The Food is out of this world, very tasty and plenty of it. all in all a super day from a super venue!
