Exceptional Team & Venue!!

5 stars isn't enough for these amazing people! 😍 I recently had my wedding here, and I'm still grinning from ear to ear thinking about how perfect everything was. The team went above and beyond to make our day truly unforgettable.

From the initial consultation to the last goodbye, the staff were consummate professionals, warm, and welcoming. They listened to our every need, offered sage advice, and executed our vision flawlessly.

The venue itself is gorgeous, with plenty of space for our guests to mingle and enjoy themselves. But what really made our day special was the people. They made us feel like family, not just clients.

Wedding May 2025

We held our wedding day + night at Mercure Haydock May 2025 - Booked 18 months prior , amazing communication via email or phone with Nicola, Stephanie & their team. Nothing was ever a bother (Especially me adding everything on last minute!) We stayed the night before and staff couldnt do enough for us - Rooms / Suites all very comfortable, clean & spacious. Variety of pastries, hot & cold food for breakfast. Defenitley recommend Mercure, we will sure be staying more often! Thanks again Team for my our day so special!

Wedding day.

Can’t fault the mercure for a wedding venue , the racecourse suite is beautiful and the perfect size the hotel grounds are lovely plenty places for lovely pictures.
The staff from the wedding coordinator to the waiters on the day have been brilliant, we felt we didn’t want for anything and everything was so personal.
The day ran so smoothly and the little touches added from the hotel really stood out from something as little as a glass of water waiting for me before I walked down the aisle to having our first printed photo framed waiting in our room with a bottle of bubbly.
I could go on but can’t put into words how fantastic everything was.
Can’t fault anything at all.

Our wedding day

Honestly our wedding day was perfect from start to finish! Dawn, Hannah and jodie all work so well together in making sure our day was the best! The food was amazing and the service and friendliness of staff did not go unnoticed. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. The day ran so smooth! It really was our perfect dream wedding!

Most amazing wedding venue

What can I say about the Mercure other than absolutely fantastic. I have never had such an amazing experience. From planning my day with Nicky, she never made anything seem like too much trouble, to the lovely James and Jodie working so hard to make my autumn dreams come true - I can only be eternally grateful. You've have made it fast so unforgettable. Abi who was with us from our initial tasting to the day was so friendly and went above& beyond to help us. The amazing service you receive is second to none. I would 10000% recommend.

Unforgettable day

We had our wedding here on the 14.09.2024. Hannah and Nicola were amazing. They answered all my questions and queries quickly. They were invaluable on the days leading up to the wedding and even more so on the day of the wedding. I dropped off all of my centerpieces and decorations a few days before and they set the racecourse suite up perfectly relieving so much stress from me. On the day they were amazing. they helped to keep me calm ensuring that things ran smoothly and on time. Jodie was looking after us for the evening and did a fantastic job of introducing me and my husband and announcing the speeches she was essential to keeping us running on time. We also had a beautiful personal touch of having a first photo as husband and wife sneakily captured, edited, framed and left in our room for us with a beautiful note from Hannah and Jodie. We cannot thank the staff enough!

Keith & Ken Wedding Reception

Back home after having had our Wedding Reception in the marquee on Friday 28th August. We wish to thank all the staff for making sure that we ourselves, and all our guests had a wonderful time. The feedback from our family and friends has been very positive. The staff were very well organised all evening and made everything flow so smoothly. Our wedding co-ordinator (Kathryn) is an absolute star and we just love her to bits!! Special thanks to Kathryn for all she has done for us, above and beyond exceptional.

The hotel is light, airy and modern with lovely gardens. All rooms more than met our needs and that of guests.

As we live near by, we intend to visit on a regular basis and keep in contact with our new friends. Thank you so much for everything that was done

Hannah & Michael Burns Wedding

well where do i begin, unbelievable wedding serive from kathy and all staff involved in making our wedding perfect, nothing was too much and all our guest had a fantastic time. staying the friday night and wedding the saturday made for a brilliant weekend for our 170 guests. would highly recomend the marquee for a wedding as it was a beautiful setting. food was brilliant and the day ran so smoothly.

Mr & Mrs Smith Wedding

After 2 years of planning and counting down we finally got married at the hotel and it was perfect from start to finish. My wife stayed over the night before in preparation with her bridesmaids and couldn't have been looked after more! Sara on reception made sure she had everything she needed and was the perfect hostess. Not only did she look after my soon to be wife but she was also a level head and a calming force in a somewhat pressured time. A credit to the hotels front of house!

Our wedding planner kath was unreal! She made us feel like old friends and the whole day was beyond what we had hoped for and imagined. Kath's experience and knowledge is solid gold! From the first meeting to the last goodbye we felt we had made a friend for life. Nothing was ever too much and she was always there for advice, information or just a chat. Whatever she could do was done! A true star and a credit to the hotel, to herself and the whole wedding team!

Another big thank you to both lee and peter (Ross) for ensuring both the day and night ran perfectly. True gentlemen from start to finish.
The marquee is an absolutely amazing place and all our guests where bowled over by its beauty. It was the perfect choice of venue for our wedding and we loved every part of it. The whole day from start to finish was perfect and we literally couldn't think of anything we'd have done differently. Thank you to The bar supervisor Kim, Rebecca on the marquee bar and the rest of the bar team for your professional service throughout the day. Always smiling and made our guests feel welcome.

Truly Amazing

From the first visit we fell in love with this stunning venue. On our day the staff were so polite and helpful, nothing we asked was too much for them. Everybody commented on how stunning the place was and how delicious the food was. We had a couple of hiccups which wasn't the venue/staff's fault but they were fantastic at solving them without us knowing a thing until afterwards.
Kath (wedding co ordinator) was fantastic through the entire process, from initial viewing to on the day. There was great communication throughout the whole process with her and she really helped pull everything together for us. Thanks so much for an amazing day :)
