Our wedding day was nothing short of magical, and we will treasure the memories forever. Knowsley Hall exceeded every expectation and delivered a once-in-a-lifetime experience that felt genuinely special and uniquely ours.
We were married at Knowsley Hall on 21st March 2025, having only secured our date in November 2024; we can honestly say that we couldn’t have imagined a more perfect setting for our special day.
No other venue came close to matching the grandeur, charm, and impeccable service offered here. From the moment we arrived, Knowsley Hall stood out as something truly extraordinary. The historic stately home, approached through stunning private parkland, offers an incredible sense of exclusivity and timeless elegance that immediately makes your day feel special.
The venue itself is breathtaking. The architecture, interiors, and immaculately maintained grounds provide a spectacular backdrop at every turn. Whether indoors or outdoors, every space feels refined and luxurious, yet warm and welcoming. The State Dining Room, where we held our wedding breakfast, deserves special mention. The room is absolutely magnificent — grand yet intimate, with stunning period features that create a sense of occasion without feeling overwhelming. It provided the perfect setting for our wedding breakfast, elevating the meal into a truly elegant and memorable experience. Our guests were in awe of the setting, and the photographs captured throughout the day were exquisite.
What truly elevates Knowsley Hall above all other venues, however, is the exceptional team. From our very first enquiry, the staff were friendly, professional, and incredibly attentive. The planning process felt entirely personal to us — never transactional or rushed. The initial viewing, menu tasting, and ongoing communication were all handled with care, patience, and genuine enthusiasm for our wedding.
Knowsley Hall’s approach to weddings is both flexible and thoughtful. They went above and beyond to accommodate our bespoke requests, working seamlessly with our chosen suppliers and ensuring that every detail was carefully coordinated. Their experience and attention to detail gave us complete confidence, allowing us to relax and enjoy the lead-up to the day without stress.
On the wedding day itself, everything ran perfectly and seamlessly. The staff were discreet yet attentive, professional yet warm, ensuring that both we and our guests felt completely looked after. The level of service throughout the day was impeccable, and the calm efficiency of the team meant that the entire celebration flowed effortlessly from start to finish.
The experience extended the wedding day itself - the overnight accommodation for our guests was simply sensational; beautifully appointed rooms that perfectly matched the elegance and character of the Hall, offering exceptional comfort and luxury. Our guests repeatedly commented on how special it felt to stay within the Hall itself, adding an extra layer of magic to the celebration.
The following morning was equally impressive. The breakfast was as carefully considered and flawlessly delivered as the wedding breakfast itself, providing a relaxed yet refined conclusion to the celebrations - a wonderful final experience for both us and our guests, allowing everyone to reflect on the previous day in a warm and unhurried atmosphere.

From the moment you drive through Knowsley Hall’s gates and see lambs grazing, the experience is pure magic. The grandeur of the drive up to the house is something out of a royal tale—impossibly elegant, truly Bridgerton-esque. The staff? Impeccable. I stayed overnight after orchestrating a wedding for my American bride, and I can’t praise the team enough for their flawless hospitality. As a planner, I collaborate with countless venues, but Knowsley Hall is in a league of its own. I’ll absolutely be returning with future couples. And, if you look closely, you might even spot the Earl of Derby strolling the grounds. As a planner, I work with many venues, but Knowsley Hall stands out. I’ll absolutely be recommending it to future couples—it’s truly a gem!

Knowsley hall from the minute we entered on their open day were so welcome, kind and professional. The service they offered made the wedding process very easy, I had no stress and knew everything would be done to make the day perfect, on the day guests couldn’t believe how amazing the service was, especially older guests with extra needs being cared for extremely well. The staff truly show how amazing this venue is. I couldn’t have asked for a better day. Truly a one of a kind venue with spectacular photographic grounds. I would recommend this venue to anyone!

Wow. Amazing from start to finish!

We went to an open day at Knowsley Hall. When we drove up the drive to the venue it took our breath away. We initially thought that it was going to be way out of our budget but we chose a date 3 months away as the venue has an offer on which we thought was amazing value. We thought organising a wedding in 3 months was going to be impossible and stressful but not at all, especially with the help of the staff who were brilliant.

The building is beautiful and historic we loved it from the second we walked in and our guests still talk to us about it. Many want to go back for other events too. The staff at the venue dressed it for us. We had options to use their items and added our own which the staff laid out for us exactly as we wanted it. They set up our singer and band we had to worry about nothing.

We went to taste the food and choose our menu which was so special and wow the food was amazing. Along with the wine we chose our guests told us they had felt utterly spoiled and were incredibly grateful. There was never an empty glass either :)

I cannot tell you how amazing the staff were throughout planning and the day itself. So professional but yet made us feel comfortable and special. We worried about nothing. They made sure the day was so smooth.

Family and friends who stayed over night loved the rooms and the breakfast the next morning was outstanding!

Our evening guests could not believe the venue. At night when you drive up the drive to the venue it is all lit up and looks spectacular.

We had a winter wedding around Valentine’s Day. The rooms had open fires burning which added to an amazing atmosphere.

We genuinely cannot recommend Knowsley Hall enough! Our only regret is that it only lasted a day!!

Knowsley Hall was my wife's dream venue. It met and exceeded every expectation. Every member of staff is dedicated and exemplary. From our first viewing to our special day, they were on hand to help us make sure our day was perfect. The day itself went without a hitch thanks to all of the staff there. The venue itself is beautiful, the food is wonderful and the bedrooms are gorgeous. It is a stereotype, but true, to say that it was the best day of our lives.

We got married at Knowsley Hall in May 2024 and the day was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The venue itself is absolutely stunning - from the breathtaking driveway to the grandeur of the dining room and ballroom, and the outside spaces making for incredible photo opportunities.

The staff are incredible and we always felt in very safe hands with the team - everything meticulously organised and slick and the team were always on hand during the leadup to the day to help with any queries. Special shoutout to Megan, Jason and Niall! We genuinely were made to feel like royalty for the day, and many of our guests also commented on how attentive and helpful the staff were.

The food was absolutely amazing - from the welcome canapes, the wedding breakfast, the evening reception and the breakfast the next day - everything was served in a timely manner and tasted delicious.

From the very first open evening we attended at Knowsley Hall, we knew this was going to be our wedding venue. It truly is a very special place.

The Hall and the grounds are absolutely stunning and provide the perfect setting for your big day. Having exclusive hire really does make you feel like royalty for the day as you and your guests are free to roam the rooms and grounds as though you live there!

Bianca, who took us on our tours on open days, is so friendly and helpful. When we saw her at the Hall after booking our wedding, she always greeted us like old friends!

Jason and Niall were outstanding on the lead up to, and during, the special day. They couldn’t do enough for us and handled everything perfectly. True professionals!

We also had some guests who required additional help with mobility on the day. When we made Knowsley aware of this, they ensured that specific staff members were assigned to help these guests with their needs when necessary. This was over and above our expectations, and the guests were absolutely thrilled as they were able to relax and enjoy the day.

The food was absolutely beautiful and served in a gorgeous setting.

Every single detail of the day was incredible and we love looking back over the photos. We just wish we could do it all over again!

Wow, what an incredible, unforgettable day that was! All of the staff at Knowsley Hall were amazing, especially Niall who was our superb event manager. They guided us through every step of the way and were always fast to respond to any of our emails and calls when we had questions.

The venue itself is nothing short of spectacular! The halls and rooms, the staircase, the gardens, the artworks, we couldn't have asked for a better place to get married.

The day itself ran so incredibly smooth, the food (both the wedding breakfast and evening food) was delicious, and we have had many guests tell us the same. Knowsley also invited us round a few weeks in advance to try some options for the menu and to go through the details of the day, which was a lot of fun and also made us feel so relaxed knowing how everything would run.

We cannot recommend Knowsley enough, and want to thank the staff once again for making our day stress-free and absolutely perfect!
