Meols Hall is a historical manor house which dates to the 12th century and situated within the 100-acre estate is the magnificent 400-year-old Tithe Barn which has been lovingly restored by local craftsmen. The Tithe Barn sits in the original cobbled courtyard alongside the coach house which is full of rustic charm, making a truly special and unique setting for your wedding day. You will have exclusive use and there are 100 acres of private grounds for wonderful photos!
Whether you are considering a ceremony, reception, or twilight wedding, Meols Hall is a relaxed and original setting.
Ideally located in the historic village of Churchtown a designated conservation area and just 5 minutes from the many hotels in Southport, bordering Lancashire and Merseyside.
Facilities and Capacity
For intimate gatherings or celebrations from 50 up to 120 guests, the venue is available for exclusive-use year round. The original brick built barn is a very special place for your ceremony or reception. The barn is equipped with a modern kitchen, central heating, a bar, a sound system, and disabled-access facilities. Outside, the grounds are yours to explore, while the cobbled courtyard and coach house are available all day to enjoy with your guests.
Services Offered
A wedding coordinator will work with you to design a day tailored to your style and needs. Your meal will be prepared by the seasoned in-house catering team. The venue has ample space for a live band, DJ, and dance floor. Meols Hall Tithe Barn is available for weddings and events throughout the calendar year. Gatherings can be enjoyed all year round, with guests enjoying the courtyard in the summer and fully central heated and lit by enchanting candlelight in the winter months.

Out of this world
We had the most amazing wedding at Meols hall (March 2024).
We were completely blown away from the first viewing of the venue. It is absolutely breath taking, and we knew that this was the venue for us.
The Events team - Debbie, Julia and Sue, were so helpful and kept in touch with us throughout the lead up to the big day. Nothing was too much trouble, and they make you feel that you are the only couple that have ever married there.
Our day went without a hitch, and the team were on hand throughout. I felt that the day was seamless, and it was all down to them.
All of our guests said that this was the best wedding that they have ever been too.
The setting of Meols hall is perfect, it is so intimate and private.
I wish that I could do it all again tomorrow and would 110 % recommend this venue to couples who are looking for something more laid back and chilled for their day.
Thank you so much to all the team for all of their hard work, dedication and effort.

Gorgeous Christmas wedding with the best staff!
Our December wedding was the most perfect day! I don't even know where to start. Not least how amazing the setup is with the barn and the coach house, always somewhere beautiful and cosy for the guests to be, but most importantly the unbelievable staff. I can't possibly mention all the little things they did throughout the day, but here are just a few: Bringing selotape and blu tack to help stick our baby pics when they weren't playing ball, bringing me a flannel when my puppy got my arms dirty, keeping track of my bouquet when I couldn't. There are 1000 things I would never have thought to consider and, luckily, I never needed to. They also felt like family, having a laugh with us in the backstage moments. If you want the best day of your life, please get married at Meols Hall! x

All Round Amazing
We had our wedding in October this year and can not thank the staff there enough. From the first visit we had to look around to the help they gave throughout the planning process what just great.
The day before the wedding when we could take our table decorations etc, was also a really lovely experience. Everything was made to flow seamlessly and such lovely attention was given to my young nephews and niece, it’s those little details that mean the world. Likewise, helping us make arrangements for our 10 month old baby was also hugely appreciated.
The wedding day itself was spectacular, such attention to detail from the minute I arrived, with arrangements to cross the courtyard in the rain taken care of, my train being fixed at the last second, confetti indoors due to the weather, umbrellas for guests, directions for the day to the best man, help with my baby in his highchair as a member of staff saw me struggling as he was a little too small (I didn’t even know they had noticed) to not rushing the meal as I was distracted by feeding my son. I think you can tell that the day just ran seamlessly and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Every single person working that day had a smile all day and just can’t thank you all enough as you really made us have the most perfect and magical day possible.

Dream venue, dream team, dream wedding
We fell in love with Meols Hall and Julia from our very first visit. The barn itself is breath taking, it barely needs any decoration because it is so beautiful just on it's own. The grounds and coach house are equally as beautiful and gives both a grand and rustic feeling all in one.
Julia and the team could not have been more helpful, extremely quick to respond to emails and no request was ever to big. They completely put our minds at ease and we knew that our wedding was in the very best hands.
The day itself went seamlessly, Julia, Sue and Debbie all worked tirelessly to ensure we had the perfect day and perfect it was.
We can't thank them enough and are desperate for someone we know to get married at Meols Hall just so we can visit again.

Perfect from start to finish
The whole team at Meols Hall made sure our whole experience in the run up to our special day was absolutely fantastic. Sue & Julie ensured the day ran perfectly and were on hand for whatever we needed. I cannot recommend Meols Hall enough!

The most perfect day
We got married at Meols Hall last month and we could not have wished for a more beautiful wedding day. The whole day ran incredibly smoothly and the team and Meols Hall were amazing, both on the day and in the lead up to our wedding. We cannot recommend this wedding venue highly enough. Thank you again to Sue, Julia and Debbie for helping to make our day so special. We already can't wait to return on our first anniversary next year for a picnic on the grounds. Jess & Sam x

We have the most amazing experience having our wedding at Meols Hall from the very initial contact to when the wedding ended at midnight. They couldn't have done any more to have made our day incredibly special. Every member of the team is friendly, professional and have the gifted ability to know how to make things extra special for the bride and groom. The Best Day
Meols Hall is the most fantastic wedding venue and we are so thankful that we could have our wedding there. The venue itself is beautiful and historical and we were blown away by its transformations: ceremony to wedding breakfast to party. All our guests were asking how we found such a hidden gem! Equal to its charm is the running and organisation of Meols Hall by Sue, Julia and Debbie. The pre-wedding planning was so easy for us as all our emails were responded to within 24 hours and we were allowed to visit the venue multiple times. The run through the day before our wedding was stress-free and filled us with even more confidence that everything was going to go as planned. We were so delighted that all our plans came to fruition and it was amazing to see the Tithe Barn set up for the ceremony and wedding breakfast just as we had imagined. The entire day was seamless and it really was the best day of our lives. Thank you so much Sue, Julia and Debbie for all your hard work and creating the most unforgettable day. You really are the best wedding team!

Absolutely out of this world
Meols hall made our dreams come true! The most perfect venue and perfect staff we could have asked for! From the minute our guests arrived to the minute they went home, they were well attentive and very professional! The most amazing venue
From the day we booked to the day off, Meols was absolutely outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff, and they took away all of stress and replicated the day which was beyond anything we imagined. Guests have commented on what a beautiful venue and day. We could not have asked for more. Thankyou so much x

Professional and personable
Our wedding reception at Meols Hall (14th April) was just heaven. The run up went smoothly: Sue, Julia, Debbie were always at the end of an email for any questions, no matter how big or small. The team were true professionals and we felt in good hands both during the planning process and on the day itself.
The venue is stunning, and many people commented on it. The Coach House was perfect for our 107 guests when it rained a little during the turnaround of the Tithe Barn after our meal.

Best day ever!
Meols Hall was the most beautiful venue and we fell in love with it immediately. The pictures are stunning but you really have to see it (and the grounds) to do it justice.
We had to rearrange our wedding there three times due to Covid and Meols were nothing but accommodating and thoroughly helpful. Other couples we knew getting married at the time, unfortunately did not have a positive experience like we did with Meols. It really made us realise that we had definitely made the right choice choosing Meols.
In the build up to our big day, the staff (Julia and Sue - legends!) we’re so organised and helped us with lots of things that we would never had even considered. They also completely put us at ease in the build up and on the big day.
The day was perfect and everything went very smoothly. We were lucky to have such a lovely sunny day to make use of the beautiful courtyard. All of the guests were blown away by the venue and we literally had the best day ever!
If you are considering Meols as a wedding venue, we could not recommend it highly enough. Do it.
