David navigated it all like he had been given an advanced degree in wedding management. He was the calm in the storm, the voice of reason, and occasionally, the comedian who kept us sane.

David didn’t just capture moments; he captured personalities, emotions, and all the candid bits that made our day uniquely ours. David was our photographer for our October Town Hall/ Restaurant reception wedding and we are so very pleased with the results! Spoke a couple of times before the big day to make sure we were all on the same page with the kinds of photos we were hoping for and on the day itself David did a really good job of rallying everyone for the more formal photos as well as moving around our guests to get the more candid natural shots. David sent us all of the photos taken on USB and CDs in both original large image quality and reduced more shareable quality which has been very helpful - for quick sharing but also for printing high quality wedding photos as Christmas gifts to our families (which they loved!). We had the pleasure of having David cover our wedding in August 2025, booking his half-day package after first meeting him about 18 months prior. The booking process was smooth and straightforward.

From our initial meeting, we loved David’s vibrant energy and engaging personality. He took the time to get to know us, asking thoughtful questions to understand our vision for the day. He clearly explained his approach and what we could expect, which gave us great confidence. We wanted a blend of formal group shots and natural in-the-moment captures, which David captured brilliantly.

We cannot recommend David and Rory enough! The pictures and videos were so beautiful and cataloged the day perfectly. You only get one chance to pick the right wedding photographer and it can be a daunting task. I'm quite into photography myself so this made it all the more difficult. But having reviewed a number of portfolio shots from various wedding photographers I came across David at Big Day Weddings. We loved his style, but thought we'd have no chance booking him as he'd be snapped up or too expensive.

We got lucky!

From the initial introduction meeting we clicked. Great guy, knows his stuff, and quickly got a handle of the type of photos we wanted. On the day, he cheerfully went about his business, got on with all the guests and the majority of the time clicked away without anyone noticing.

A few weeks after the wedding the photos arrived on a USB stick. Loads of them! In super high resolution. I knew they would be good before we looked through them, but wow! He documented the day beautifully, getting all the key shots and tonnes of natural candid shots. What stood out most was he captured the energy and joy of the event and guests. Everyone we have shown them to have been really impressed.

Another big benefit is that the photos are taken at a high resolution, so if you know your way around editing software you can crop into photos and still retain the print quality. Perfect for a touch of personal creativity and ideal for making striking photobook albums.

I should have been nervous about getting quality photos for the wedding, but I just knew Dave was going to be good. I had 100% confidence from the moment I found him.

David was amazing to work with. Very professional but also super friendly, funny and easy to get on with. My husband and I quickly felt at ease with him. We took advantage of the engagement shoot as part of our package and met David at Alexandra Palace where he took us to some cool spots to capture our special moments. We aren't much of posers but David's directions were so helpful and we didn't feel forced or unnatural in our poses. After seeing the engagement shoot pictures, we were so excited to have David and Rory on our wedding day at Wotton House in Dorking.

They arrived promptly and made everyone feel so welcome. They got us laughing and got some really great candid shots. Rory and David are such good vibes, being photographed and filmed by them was a lot of fun. They really made a huge contribution to the wedding, not only in capturing our day but in how they spoke with our guests and brought out the best in people.

We couldn’t have been happier with David, who was creative, professional, charming, and easy to work with throughout. He was a lovely presence both on the day and in the lead up to the wedding. Going in, we had some clear ideas about the style of photographs we wanted, and he was able to meet the brief perfectly. At the same time he was full of ideas and creativity, happy to guide us to a beautiful location near the venue for some posed couple shots after the ceremony at the Fitzrovia Chapel. During the reception at Carousel he was able to respond to whatever was happening to produce documentary-style pictures. The end results were simply wonderful – we couldn’t believe he’d been able to cover so much ground, and capture so many of the moments of the day, and make all of us look so good. He really did catch something of the essence of our wedding, and we will treasure our photographs always.
