We recently had the pleasure of having Ian DJ for our wedding, and we cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible experience he provided. Ian's dedication to making our day special was truly unparalleled, as he went above and beyond, from the early morning set-up to the past midnight pack-down, ensuring every detail was perfect.

Opting for the all-day music and hosting package with rustic light-up LOVE letters was the best decision we made. The addition of Bride and Groom advice cards turned out to be an absolute hit, engaging everyone from our younger siblings to friends and even my Nanny. Ian's thoughtful inclusion of my Nanny, allowing her to read out her card, added a heartwarming touch that made the day even more special.

Ian seamlessly transitioned from being a supplier to feeling like a true friend throughout the day. His contribution to the fun, happiness, and joy we felt was immeasurable. The memories he helped create are ones we will treasure forever, and we are grateful for his genuine and friendly presence.

Beyond his role as a DJ, Ian managed to capture precious moments with a few photos and videos he sent across the next day, including a beautiful video of my bridesmaids and I walking down the aisle and the confetti tunnel. Having these memories captured allows us to relive those magical moments, and we're thankful for Ian's extra effort in making that happen.

Ian's ability to connect with both family and friends was remarkable. He checked in on us throughout the day, ensuring we were not only having a great time but also had a drink in our hands! It's clear for anyone to see that Ian loves what he does, and his passion for creating unforgettable experiences shines through in every interaction.

Our wedding was truly the best day of our lives, and Ian played a pivotal role in making it so. We feel incredibly fortunate to have had him as a part of our celebration, and we wholeheartedly recommend Ian to anyone looking for a DJ who goes the extra mile to make your special day absolutely perfect!

We met Ian at the Knebworth Barns wedding fair and immediately knew he was the DJ for us. Ian arranged a really helpful call prior to our wedding party to discuss the run through of the evening. We had the rustic set up which was really lovely along with the awesome Magic Mirror which worked really well and was something different to a photo booth. Ian went above and beyond with putting together our amazing wedding photos reel to display on the TV screens, he even accommodated us with a last minute request to add our wedding highlights film. The set Ian put together was perfect, and was a great mix of music which had everyone on the dance floor all night, cannot recommend So Discos enough!

Couldn’t have asked for a better DJ to guide us through our special night as husband and wife! Ian took the time to listen to the different types of music we wanted, specific to our tastes. Every song played on the night matched the vibe of everyone on the dance floor and we couldn’t recommend him enough. Thanks for everything Ian!

We first met Ian at my sister’s wedding back in 2015 and were put in touch with him by her after we got engaged.

We booked him for the full day and it was honestly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!

Right from the very start Ian was attentive, professional and just an all-round great guy! He has such a calming nature which was just what we needed whilst planning our wedding, not forgetting on the big day itself!

The whole planning process was smooth and simple; we had periodic meetings with Ian over Zoom and he was never more than an email or Facebook message away if we had any questions.

The music was great and made for a really lovely atmosphere at certain times of the day, such as during the reception drinks when we’d given Ian free rein to choose the playlist for us. He definitely knew what sort of music was to our taste and he was not at all put-out when we requested specific versions of certain songs for our ceremony.

We really valued his suggestions, particularly putting out marriage advice cards for guests to complete (a choice few of which Ian later read out for our amusement), along with the ‘Mr & Mrs’ game which, although making us blush a little at times, had the whole room of 100 guests engaged and laughing!

Ian even made a toast to us, which we were not at all expecting; it was such a thoughtful gesture and one we truly appreciated.

At the end of the night a few family members and guests commented that they thought Ian was part of the venue staff as he was that attentive, organised and helpful! During the day itself he would regularly check in with us and made sure we were always topped up with prosecco! He even stepped in to cover bridesmaid duties at one point and was carrying the train of my wife’s dress for her!

Ian truly is more than "just a DJ” - he’s a DJ, entertainer, master of ceremonies and helping hand all rolled into one. He really does go above and beyond and makes you feel like your wedding is the most important of them all. He was certainly one of the main reasons our day went as smoothly and efficiently as it did.

We can’t thank Ian and his team enough! The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. From initial contact to all the planning discussions Ian was so easy to get hold of and gave such amazing advice and support. It truly felt like a bespoke experience! Which for what we paid is amazing value for money! Then we get to the day, Ian and the team literally made the day perfect. The ceremony music was exactly as we wanted, the day was filled with fun and games - in Ian you get a master of ceremony and games master as well as DJ.
The dance floor was buzzing and music was exactly as we had asked with all our tastes covered and some banging tunes to keep the party going right until the end.
Ian even took photos of our day too.
Oh and the magic mirror was some of the best money spent! Our guests loved it and we had all the fun of looking through the photos on the morning after our wedding.
Cannot recommend him enough!

What can I say? Ian made an a wonderful day even more fabulous with the all day package! Music was perfect from start to finish with all our guests busting a move til the very end of the night! We loved the magic mirror and the video postbox! It was so special to watch messages back from our guest the next day and totally worth it! The DJ booth and screen showing all of our photos of family and friends was also extra special and was the cherry on top of a perfect day!

Where do I start. Ian is so much more than a DJ. He's professional, caring, fun and goes over and above always. THE BEST DJ!! We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. From our first enquiry, to our planning meeting everything was seamless and Ian made us feel so comfortable - we really couldn’t wait for Ian to be a part of our wedding day. Ian is the loveliest person to deal with. He gives an absolutely professional, yet personal, experience from enquiry to delivery. Nothing was ever too much! He was patient with our many, many questions. Delivered an absolutely wonderful experience for us and our guests on the day that merged Italian culture with English party! As mother of the bride I found his presence reassuring and he was always ahead of the game, and as a Master of Ceremonies kept all of us on track and ensured the entertainment was top notch. He goes above and beyond, including ensuring I always had a drink and charging my phone when it was dying. With only 6 months to plan our wedding, i started searching on Hitched for suppliers. After coming across Ian at So Discos page, I decided to contact and from the 1st phone call I could tell how professional and knowledgable about his field he was. We booked the full day hosting package with saxophonist and magic mirror.
Weddings can get stressful in the lead up but one thing I wasn’t concerned about was our entertainment as Ian had answered any questions and we felt in safe hands throughout.
We wasn’t wrong, Ian was a crucial part to our wedding day running so smoothly and efficiently. He was fantastic with our guests and music throughout the day, our planned surprises through the day happened just as I had hoped for.
The saxophonist who Ian arranged was also fantastic and added so much to our day.
Our evening was all I hoped for and more. Music at the evening reception was so important to us as we wanted a big party with our friends and family and we couldn’t have asked for more.
The dance floor was full all night and we have had so many guests tell us how much fun they had and how great Ian was a DJ and host.
We wouldn’t hesitate on booking Ian again and already trying to plan another event where we can enjoy once again.

Wow! Thank you Ian for a tremendous time. Everyone said what a fabulous wedding it was and I know that Ian was a huge part of that, keeping everyone dancing all night long. He also provided a nice letterbox for cards, and uplighting that turned the hall into a disco at night.

With Ian you don’t just get a DJ, you get a full on entertainment package. He read out our advice cards, reminded people to take their seeded place names home to plant, and led a very embarrassing but funny game of Mr and Mrs. He also worked with the photographer and videographer on a photo dash - which was an amazing way to enter the wedding breakfast and gave us a chance to get a photo with everyone.

Unlike other DJ companies, you get a really personal experience with Ian. He works with you to plan the day, and he will be with you on the day too. He checked in on me and my partner throughout the day and gave us lots of shout outs. You can see he genuinely cares and loves what he does. He also took one of my favourite photos of the evening!

For a dream team, I recommend Martin from Special Occasions Video Productions alongside Ian, they’ve been friends for years and work so well together!

Ian provided the most exceptional service, he ensures the guests were entertained throughout the entire Wedding and the music kept everyone dancing throughout the night.
