Wow wow wow, Ian where do we even begin!
I wish everybody reading this could witness what you pulled off for our wedding. From the very first zoom meeting you listened to everything we said and really tried to understand us as individuals and as a couple. On the day you made every single person in that room feel alive. You worked with us to merge our two cultures (Iraqi and Irish) and included all the songs we desperately wanted to have played for our friends and family. You were the biggest hype man, the best BEST DJ and we could not have imagined a second of that evening without you there. The dry ice show, the confetti and the illuminated display were so spectacular during our first dance, everybody in the room was so impressed and we’ve had endless compliments on how fab you were. Ian, you were everything we have ever dreamed off, I hope the world can appreciate you the way we do. Words are simply not enough! I will be screaming about how incredible SO Discos are for a very very very long time. Thank you for making our wedding genuinely the best party we’ve ever been to!

As our DJ, Ian kept the dance floor packed all night long with an incredible playlist that perfectly matched the vibe we wanted. They read the crowd beautifully, transitioning seamlessly between songs and keeping everyone dancing and having the time of their lives.

Ian also hosted the fabulous Mr. and Mrs. game, which had everyone laughing and created some of our favorite memories. The photo booth was a huge hit with our guests, who had so much fun capturing moments of the evening. The digital copies we received afterward were a wonderful bonus—something we’ll treasure forever!

What touched us most was how Ian incorporated a beautiful slideshow of photos honoring those who were no longer with us & some of our favourite photos over the years. It was such a heartfelt and thoughtful moment that meant so much to us and our families. On top of all this, Ian ensured our wedding gifts were kept safe in a stunning wedding post box, which was such a nice touch.

As the person who introduced us, Ian brought warmth, charisma, and just the right amount of humor to set the tone for the evening. They made every announcement feel special and kept the flow of the evening stress-free.

They truly went above and beyond to make our day extraordinary, and we’re so grateful for their hard work and talent. If you’re looking for a DJ, host, and entertainment pro who can do it all, look no further than Ian!

Ian from so discos was helpful and responsive throughout our planning process. We had use of the online platform where our guests could chose songs in advance and we could track our songs, playlists and payments. Whenever we had a question, it was answered quickly. On the evening, Ian got the party started and the music and mixes were fabulous! That mixed with the incredible dry ice for our first dance, projection with our names and slide show of images of us made it amazing. The confetti canon also added a nice touch! Thanks again, highly recommend!

I recently had the pleasure of having Ian as our wedding DJ, and I can't recommend him highly enough! From the moment he arrived, he was incredibly professional and attentive, ensuring everything ran smoothly. Ian had an incredible ability to read the room and got all the guests up on the dance floor, creating an unforgettable atmosphere.

Thank you & can we do it all over again? Ian went above and beyond for us, he made all the guests feel welcome, he made our children a vocal point of our special day. He is an absolute gem and amazing at what he does. I’m utterly amazed with Ian’s attention to detail, he really got stuck in and went above and beyond. I would recommended him until I’m blue in the face. His communication throughout was spot on, on the day he made us feel so calm and collected. I had a really bizarre request for my speech, which he made work, no questions asked. Thank you again Ian, you deserve all the recognition and more. We can’t wait for the next event just so we can book you again. You are amazing!

We found Ian via Hitched and was immediately impressed. We then discovered that he was a favourite at our venue. The staff there spoke very highly of him when we mentioned who our DJ was. This immediately made us feel at ease. From our first interaction with Ian, we were sold! He kept in constant contact right up to the week of the wedding, this was so appreciated, especially with an anxious bride! We were given a portal to add our favourite songs and our guests could make their requests ahead of the big day. The big day came and we finally got to experience what so many newlyweds have before us. The set-up blew us away. Ians professionalism is second to none, his kindness and warmth; not just with us, but our friends and family meant so much. What an asset Ian was to our wedding experience! From the start Ian was amazing, from booking with his communication and ease of contact, to our wedding day with us and our guests. Ian was so engaging throughout and knew us all and lots of our guests by name. The dance floor was never empty and that is huge for our naturally reserved families! We had an all day hosting package from SO Discos at the end of October 2024 and we cannot fault what we received.
From start to finish, Ian was so friendly, so professional and genuinely cared about us. We had the best day and Ian did so much, including the Advice cards, being a loud voice to assist our photographer as well as taking photos and videos himself. The dance floor was never empty.

We hired Ian at So discos for our wedding. We hired his DJ service, magic mirror, large LOVE light up sign. I can honestly say if you are looking for a DJ and or any other services that Ian provides, then please look no further and contact So Discos. Ian is absolutely amazing from the very beginning through to the very end. The preparation he puts in is so thought out and well organised that it makes everything so stress free. On the day, both Ian and his team were absolutely amazing. All of our guests loved the magic mirror with all of the props that go with it and there is an attendant with it so its effortless. Ian as a DJ is brilliant from music selection through to guest interaction. He also went above and beyond what we expected and asked for. 5 stars just doesn't do Ian Justice. We can’t put into words how grateful we are for Ian during our wedding day. He went above and beyond to make sure we had the best day of our lives. From the very start of the process Ian was responsive, flexible and made us feel at ease! We had zoom calls to walk through the day and to make sure he got in every little detail. I highly recommend getting the extras on offer. We had the video postbox, the DJ booth with the screen, after dinner games and the LOVE letters. This has allowed us to keep special and hilarious memories from the day, added more fun to the room and a bunch of laughs after the emotional speeches and even karaoke! Ian even mixed my walk down music LIVE on the day. During photos in the morning, he followed us round with drinks in hand to make sure we always had chance to have a sip…or gulp! Not only was he a fantastic DJ, but a wonderful master of ceremonies and our biggest cheerleader throughout the day! We have had wonderful feedback from all of our guests that Ian is not only fantastic DJ but also a LOVELY person!! If you want a DJ that does everything to an incredible standard…go to Ian.
