We looked at many different celebrant’s when booking our wedding, and then we found Lucy. She’s is one of the most down to earth, kind hearted and sounded person you will met. She’s so welcoming, easy to get along with and just makes all the worries clear. We are so grateful that she had our date free and booked her right away. From our first (video) meeting, to the wedding day she kept in contact and even came to see me a few hours before the ceremony just to make sure everything was going as planned. For a couple who love eachother very deeply, we really don't often show it too much outside of our own little bubble! So for us, picking a Celebrant who made us comfortable with standing up in front of all our family & friends in a way that felt authentic to us was so important. We spent a lot of time picking each of our vendors very carefully in order to create the most special day for us - and it was a combination of recommendation from our venue coordinator and reading the details on the Thistle Ceremonies website that drew us to Tegan! We were delighted that she was able to officiate our day, and when we finally got the chance to meet her in person we really couldn't have been happier. She took the time to really listen to us and our story, what we wanted for our ceremony and the ways in which we wanted to include our guests. We weren't instantly sure what exactly we wanted to include and how, but Tegan talked us through the various options for our ceremony and kept us right every step of the way for both creating the ceremony and of course the legal paperwork. When Tegan sent us through the draft of our ceremony, I was in floods of tears already!! She'd taken everything we told her and everything we wanted and packaged it up into the perfect ceremony. On the day, Tegan was such a warm, welcoming and calming presence; she has the perfect balance of being in control of everything the way we needed her to be without losing the personal touch which made every moment special.
We were delighted with our ceremony and many of our guests have commented and complimented both our ceremony and Tegan herself - even the most stoic of our guests shed a tear!!
We honestly couldn't recommend Tegan enough - as one of the most genuine, caring, lovely people we've met, we were so glad we found her and were able to have her as part of the most special day of our lives. Thank you so much Tegan!!

Janine met up with us and we immediately hit it off , we were so relaxed in her company , it was like sitting with a close friend . We sat together and planned our ceremony , we had loads of fun doing so , we were laughing like old friends. Janine also kept us right with all the official stuff .
We spoke online a few times and dropped each other messages , making sure we had every angle covered .I would totally recommend Janine to carry out anyone i knows ceremony as she is so professional and a lovely genuine person . I can't thank her enough for everything she done for us . My family all said it was the nicest most personal ceremony they've ever seen . So a big shout out to Janine , she done a lovely job

Annes' bubbly but natural calm brought such a relaxing and friendly tone to the ceremony which just set the pace for the whole day. We couldn’t of asked it to go any better, it was just perfect! Thank you so much for helping a very emotional Ellie with her reading. We’re so proud of her and Luna who just brought an extra dose of entertainment. From the first time we met Anne she put us all at ease, she was so approachable and her warm and friendly character was just fantastic for our two girls.

Jean Steele was an absolute pleasure to work with, she made myself and Susie feel so at ease and our meetings with her were filled with so much fun and laughter. Jean made our ceremony so uniquely special to us and we honestly can't thank her enough for everything she done in lead up to and also including our wedding day.

Jean made our day just flow with ease and filled it with fun, love and laughter especially in her ceremony, she also didn't even flinch when our best man forgot our wedding rings.

Jean truly went above and beyond for us both all the way through the process and especially on our wedding day which made it truly magical.

Billy was our celebrant and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better for our special day. From the very beginning Billy answered all questions we had and kept us right with timings etc straight up until just before we got married! He had great ideas to ensure our children felt involved in the ceremony which was important to us. We felt at ease as Billy was conducting our ceremony, especially where he added in a few jokes to relax everyone! All in all we couldn’t have had a better person to marry us, such a positive/stress free experience which is great when you’ve got a million things going through your head on the run up to your wedding day!

On the day she blew everyone away, her delivery of our ceremony surpassed all expectations
Our ceremony was friendly, funny, made everyone laugh & cry and Constance looked after us all right throughout, from the wedding planning, to the ceremony and even checked in post.

Excellent service since we met at the Helensburgh wedding fayre. We really did like the values and ethos of a thistle. A personalised story of journey and the special band warming and unity candles were a really special touch. Phyl really helped us feel at ease from our first meeting and always responded quickly to any emails. She is warm and friendly and a perfect addition to a wedding ceremony.
