I absolutely love creating the most unique and meaningful ceremonies I possibly can, for the wonderful couples I work with and thanks to some of these lovely couples, I've been fortunate enough to win a number of awards.
My belief is your ceremony should reflect who you are as individuals and as a couple. To achieve this, we work closely together, to create a relaxed and personal ceremony full of emotion, including the odd tear, some laughter and lots of smiles. I enjoy talking through your ideas whether it's how to include family and guests in your ceremony, or what role your pets, from dogs to horses (and everything in between), can take - I love a challenge!
In my previous life, (before dogs and children!), I worked in music for a number of years, before starting my own business as an Events Organiser and Wedding Planner. After some years, I decided I wanted to create a more intimate ceremony and have been a celebrant for over 10 years, working throughout the UK
Services Offered
Following your enquiry, we'll have a quick chat on zoom, or whatsapp, to introduce ourselves, talk through the style of your ceremony and some of your ideas. We'll then meet in person to go into more detail and begin planning. You may be thinking of something traditional or quirky, or want to include an element of religion, or rituals from your individual cultures - if this is relevant.
All my ceremonies are relaxed, unique and personal and my most popular ceremony includes 'Your Story', which is often emotional yet light and funny. This featues all sorts of details, like how you met, when you realised your partner was the one, and your journey to arriving at this wonderful point in your lives.
Some couples prefer not to include their Story, and I offer a simpler ceremony, just as emotional and encompassing the same ceremonial elements, like your vows, ring exchange and readings along with a few details about yourselves.
I always remember, this is YOUR ceremony and together, we'll make it a truly personal and beautiful one
My fee includes all meetings either in person or via zoom, being available at all times to answer any questions or concerns you may have, all travel, a rehearsal, full research into Your Story and performing your ceremony on the day.
I have personal liability insurance and cover available should I be unable to perform your ceremony on the day.

Brilliant wedding ceremony with Jenny Marks, Celebrant
We are so glad we decided on a wedding celebrant and consider ourselves very lucky to have found Jenny! Choosing a wedding celebrant brought a lovely formality and structure to the 'nuptials' part of our day - more importantly, it took the pressure off us and our families which was enormously helpful given all the other things we had to arrange. Jenny was great to work with and we felt in very safe hands.
Jenny carefully crafted a beautiful ceremony which was personal, intimate and meaningful - I know lots in the audience were reaching for tissues in moments - laughter and happy tears! Jenny also brought a huge sense of warmth and fun - her ceremony really was a moment of joy for everyone. Thank you so much!!
Jenny's wealth of experience also helped us on a practical level with advice on seating, confetti etc which helped ensure our photographer got some great shots. In short she really added to the enormous success of our wedding celebration, and we will always be grateful she was able to be our celebrant for the day.

The best bit of our wedding
As we had chosen a venue without a wedding licence, we were unsure what we wanted and struggled to imagine how our ceremony would work without a registrar. Within minutes of speaking to Jenny, all of those worries disappeared. Her warmth, confidence and experience immediately put us at ease.
Jenny took the time to genuinely get to know us as a couple. Through calls, visits to our home and thoughtful check-ins throughout the year leading up to the wedding, she made the entire process feel effortless. She is one of the friendliest people you could meet, and we felt completely comfortable and supported every step of the way.
She suggested beautiful ways to honour loved ones who couldn’t be with us, helped us find meaningful ways to involve the children in the ceremony, and recommended readings that perfectly reflected us as a family. Most importantly, the story she wrote about our relationship was absolutely perfect—personal, heartfelt and captured us better than we could have imagined.
Jenny played such an important part in making our day so special, and we will always be grateful to her. If you're looking for a celebrant who is caring, professional and truly invested in creating a ceremony that feels uniquely yours, Jenny is simply the best .

The first thing I think is important is how clearly Jenny is a true believer in both love and people!
She was not only incredibly professional and prepared but also kind, warm and funny.
She had lots of examples of things like rituals and ring exchanges but was also completely open to our wants and suggestions on the ceremony. She was incredibly helpful in general with checking in on us and making sure we were on track for the wedding.
She told ‘our story’ for which she had spoken to both of us individually and our best man/man of honour which made it feel so lovely and personal. She was so incredibly easy to talk to and she ran everything she was planning past us in advance and created a really high level of comfort and trust. Because of this she managed to elicit things from us about each other that were so lovely to both hear and say that we might not have thought to otherwise!
She made us all laugh, she made a few of us cry and she told our story in such a beautifully personal way that really touched me. You can tell how much effort goes into what she does and how hard she worked to get to know us to be able to tell our story so well- We felt so close to Jenny by the end of it that it felt more like she was another friend or family member in the room.
I honestly couldn't imagine something more perfect for such a special day!
Anyone would be lucky to have her as their celebrant- Our family and friends loved her as much as we did and I only wish we needed a celebrant more than once so we could keep Jenny around!

She spent a lot of time getting to know us as a couple before writing the most gorgeous story for our ceremony. It was everything we wanted - a very personal touch along with some traditional bits.
