So, how did I find myself throwing confetti and celebrating love? Well, it all started while I was enjoying a bit of sunshine in Italy! My son called and asked if I'd be his celebrant for his wedding. And let me tell you, witnessing the power of a truly personalised ceremony, filled with heartfelt moments and genuine emotion, completely hooked me! It was clear that creating these meaningful moments, especially those celebrating love, was where my heart truly belonged.
My background includes many years of service within the police, where I worked closely with diverse communities, families, and schools. This experience profoundly heightened my interpersonal skills, fostering deep empathy and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life. I learned to navigate sensitive situations with care and to hold space for the full spectrum of emotions that arise during life’s significant moments—skills that are invaluable in crafting a wedding or vow renewal that truly reflects your story.

Truth is, it all started with my own son and daughter-in-law's wedding. As a young family on a budget, they were getting creative to keep costs down. That's when I stumbled upon this amazing world of celebrant-led ceremonies, and let me tell you, I fell head over heels!
Now, before this wild celebrant journey, I spent years serving as a police officer with West Mercia. From school and family liaison to helping families through tough times, I honed my people skills and learned a thing or two about keeping emotions in check (although, no promises on the happy tears – they might just sneak out!)
