Can you stop scrolling for a sec and read my profile? I hope you’ll find me a good fit! I’m Jules Buchanan – Your Celebrant by the Sea – a trained Independent Celebrant and member of the Association of Independent Celebrants, based in Northumberland (yes, right by the sea…Newbiggin-by-the-Sea!)

I chose to become an independent celebrant as my unique background and experience help me to listen…then to write and deliver creative, inclusive, heartfelt and authentic ceremonies to celebrate love in all its forms as well as the unique journeys that bring people together.

I left corporate life (after a career in logistics) in 2018 to become a yoga teacher and teach a mix of yoga classes online, in studios and in local venues in my community, across Newcastle and Northumberland. I run my own yoga business and feel so privileged to support people in finding a sense of calm.

Originally a Brummie, I moved up to the north-east in 2020 from Bedfordshire, and I love it up here…my favourite things are beaches (I walk my black lab Diesel on the beach every day), brunches (specifically, I'm a sucker for a shakshuka) and brownies (the gooey fudgy ones!)
