Wedding Venues in East London

We celebrated our wedding at Boundary last month and the team really gave us the wedding of our dreams! The venue itself is a hidden gem with a beautiful outdoor rooftop and orangery for a drinks reception and a great underground space for the party - which needs to be seen in person to be appreciated. All our guests loved the venue and we had so many compliments about the food and drink. The team couldn’t do more for us throughout, from the events team through to reception and hotel staff. The events team in particular were very quick to answer all our questions in the run up, meeting up with us in person multiple times to discuss details and were so flexible when it came to timings and requirements for the day. Our friends and family also stayed in the hotel overnight, with us staying in the suite which meant we could make a weekend of it. We absolutely loved our wedding at Boundary and think this is the perfect venue for anyone after a city wedding - the pictures don’t do it justice. If we could do it all again we wouldn’t change a thing!

Was the DJ at this venue last weekend (3rd of June 2023) for a 70th birthday and as usual it was a breeze (this would be my 5th time as a DJ in this hall). Let me share a few answers to questions you may have as a client or vendor: 1. Parking is free weekends in front of the venue 2. There is a secured car park at the back of the venue (free anytime) 3. Loading into the venue is easy and a trolley can be provided by the staff 4. Hall’s name is Boothroyd hall. Has high ceilings and echos if you don’t place your speakers correctly around the hall (something to note as a DJ) 5. Contact number for venue is 020 8724 1500 6. Staff are very helpful and are happy to answer any questions you have (my point of contact was Kadeen). We got married on the 28th June 2023 and had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Crowne Plaza Docklands. We booked this Hotel as it is on a great location by the Royal Docks riverfront which we felt was the perfect setting for our group and couple photo's. The hotel being in East London was easy for many of our family and friends to get too. From the very beginning we were looked after by Tracy (Director if Sales) of the Hotel. She was brilliant from start to finish. We really trusted her knowledge and expertise and she really did offer us the best wedding package to accommodate all our needs. She asked us all the right questions and also advised us on what would work well for our special day. All the planning was handled so efficiently and professionally by Tracy, from the menu tasting to the running order of the day. She also pointed us in the right direction of decorators to dress up the ceremony and reception rooms. She really did take away that added pressure from us so we could focus on other things for the wedding. When it came to the day itself, it was truly amazing. The ceremony, reception room and the lounge area looked the part. Everything was set up to how we wanted and this was highly praised by all our family and friends. The entire day ran so smoothly and we felt we were really looked after. 'Like Royalty'. The food was delicious and looked as good as when first presented to us during the menu tasting. The service staff were super friendly to all our guests. We had the perfect day and this was all topped off with the beautiful Suite that Tracy booked for us as part of the Package. This room had the perfect scenic views of the docks, Canary Wharf and the London )2. If you are really looking for a good wedding venue in East London the look no further. We really recommend you booking at the Crowne Plaza Docklands. Hospitality at its finest!

JC and his team at the Lea were brilliant. We found the process of organising the day and the venue so much easier due to JC's knowledge and expertise. He guided us through the schedule of the day so that our wedding ran smoothly and without fault! Any turnaround of rooms was quick and the service throughout the day for both us and the guests was excellent. JC also has an in-depth knowledge of wines and provided excellent French wines for us on the day. JC - we cannot thank you and the team enough. We would highly recommend the Lea as a wedding venue.

This is an incredible venue for a wedding. It features a single long curved 'room', one wall of which is a row of windows overlooking a picturesque pond and park. There are a couple of swans that nest there and at the time of our ceremony, there were 9 cygnets playing in the water. It was early August, so the area was lush with greenery. The staff do an incredible job of upkeeping the grown around the pond. Honestly, we likely saved the most money on decorations, as there were so few needed - the venue and the view out the windows was more than enough. To simplify the ceremony and reduce wedding costs, we decided to host everything at the venue - the ceremony, the drinks, the reception and the dance. We used the provided partitions to separate the room into the ceremony and the dining areas, which allowed us to transform the ceremony section into the dance floor in the second half of the day. Parking is limited to around 12-15 spaces at the front, however, we found that this was not a huge issue, as there was plenty of free parking on the streets around the venue that Saturday. On top of that, most of our guests live near the area, so were able to get there by public transport. The kitchen is modest, so we would recommend using a caterer who will arrive with the food already prepared, which is what our caterer did. They also set up a tent in the outdoor area, where guests mingled and had drinks. There are several outlets for electrical setups (decorations, DJ, etc), so we had no issue with custom lighting and music. Our wedding planner, caterers, and DJ checked the place out in advance to orient themselves and the layout of the room. We were also given a comprehensive sheet from the venue staff listing the rules behind decoration, electrics, etc, which was very helpful.

Our wedding at The Dickens Inn in September 2025 was truly the best day of our lives. We’d always wanted a pub wedding, and as this has long been one of our favourite London pubs, it felt really special to celebrate our day here. The team went above and beyond from start to finish. Agata was exceptionally organised and helpful throughout the planning, and on the day Iva and Rob ran everything so smoothly, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment. We had 130 guests for the meal and 40 additional evening guests, but the space never felt cramped in The Dicken's Suite upstairs - the layout worked perfectly. The food and wine were fantastic (so many compliments from our guests), and The Dickens Suite looked absolutely beautiful throughout the ceremony, meal, and evening (esp. with the hanging fairy lights). Walking to Tower Bridge for our couple photos was also a real highlight. We couldn’t recommend The Dickens Inn highly enough for a gorgeous London wedding!

We chose Christ Church because of its special meaning to us as a couple who go there each Sunday - but also because of its gorgeous decor and rich history. It looked beyond fantastic on the day, from the striking façade, to the wood-paneled nave, to the recently renovated crypt (read: dance space). Natasha was fantastic throughout, and no request was too much for her. We knew we were in good hands and could just settle back and enjoy the day. Can’t recommend enough!

We had our wedding ceremony here in April 2026 and it was everything we could have hoped for. The team were so communicative and organised and the venue beautiful, in one of London’s best parks. Thank you to all for the team for making Clissold House such a lovely place to get married.

I love industrial/warehouse venues so I was very excited to shoot a wedding at MKII last year. It's a blank canvas with skylights which is fantastic for photos. It's the perfect venue for modern relaxed weddings.

We got married at the Hackney Town Hall on 11 July and could have not asked for a more seamless process. My husband and I are both immigrants to the UK and the process was a bit confusing for us so the team helped us understand everything. Our ceremony was beautiful and my friends and family loved the skylight in the North Atrium. It was a special day we will never forget!
