The Roost was a fabulous venue for our wedding party - we had our own food outside from a street food hire, magician, Photo Booth and cocktail bar. We had a musician and dj too. All of our guests had the best time and the organisation and communication was brilliant. Can’t fault them and would recommend to anyone!

My husband, Sam, and I would 100% recommend The Roost for any future weddings! The venue is unlike any other we’ve been to before. It is unique, creative, and full of character, which made our day truly special.

The Venue
The Roost is ideal for couples who are a bit quirky, down to earth, and love a rustic, eclectic setting. As it’s primarily a photography studio, every corner offers an amazing photo opportunity, from vintage furniture to beautiful natural light.

Our Day
I got ready on the 2nd floor in a stunning room filled with character, complete with vintage bedroom furniture and an ensuite bath, perfect for those fairytale “getting ready” photos!

Our ceremony took place on the 1st floor in the smaller room with just 24 guests, creating an intimate and personal atmosphere. We then moved into the adjoining larger room for our wedding breakfast, followed by our evening reception on the ground floor where our other guests joined us.

It was the perfect space for our 90 guests, even with room for my cousin to play a few acoustic songs and plenty of space for everyone to dance! Later, we headed down to the basement where our DJ was set up, that’s where we had our first dance and partied the night away.

The Team
We honestly couldn’t have done it without Steph and Dave. Steph set up our initial call, handled all the booking details, admin, and invoicing. She kindly contacted our catering team to make sure everything was set up for the day and all legal documents were confirmed. While Dave managed everything on-site. He showed us around beforehand and was there on the day to help with anything we needed. Both were absolutely amazing - super friendly, professional, and so easy to work with.

A Little Tip
The venue doesn’t allow confetti (understandably, since it’s tricky to clean), but we chose bubble guns instead, and we’re so glad we did! The photos turned out incredible.

We had an incredible wedding at The Roost. From our initial venue research, The Roost was perfect - with it’s characterful charm and unique style, it was our dream venue! Steph and Dave were amazing from our planning to wedding day and our endless questions were answered quickly without any problems. Dave was so helpful whilst we set up the evening before as well as on our wedding day plus day after and went above and beyond to make sure we had our evening food saved for us (whilst we danced the night away).
What made the The Roost even better was the fact we could get legally married there, thanks to their wedding license. This meant we could have our whole day at the venue without going to a town hall beforehand.
Our guests have not stopped messaging to say how incredible the Roost was and how it matched our character perfectly. If you’re looking for a totally unique venue with tones of excitement, then look no further then The Roost!

We celebrated our wedding here on Saturday and cannot recommend it enough.

Steph was extremely helpful throughout in answering questions and helping us arrange things. If we wanted to do something the answer was always “yes”! Very responsive, even on weekends.

Dave who manages the property was a delight. He is calm, collected and extremely helpful. He made a stressful day for external reasons much less so.

The venue is truly fantastic. It’s great value - you get so much space! We had the ceremony on the first floor, reception on the ground and dancing in the basement. All our friends and family loved it as much as we did.

We 100% recommend it as a venue. Its relaxed, unique and utterly charming.

The venue is perfect - has lots of weird and wonderful furniture, lots of opportunities to decorate and spread across several floors. The outdoor area is also great. We had an absolute blast for our big day. Especially worth mentioning Dave, the on site venue manager - he is extraordinary and an absolute joy to work with!

If you want something more personal and little quirky, this is your place!

The Roost is so unique, so much fun, and so well suited for a wedding, with different spaces for different vibes, and a lovely little garden too.

Steph and Dave were both amazing and helped us make the day exactly what we hoped it would be.

This venue is fascinating, quirky and full of interesting artefacts and hidden corners to be explored. An Aladdin's cave of décor, furniture and details. We had three floors at our disposal and the garden was an added bonus.
Form the first contact to the end, everything was handled professionally with friendliness and nothing was ever a problem for the management. All in all a great experience. We would highly recommend the Roost to anyone planning a wedding or private party. We had the best time ever!

The first time we went to visit The Roost we knew it was the perfect wedding venue for us. Aside from the capacity and price suiting our needs, we just fell in love with how characterful and unique the venue was. We loved that it still looked and felt like an East End Pub but the decor and vintage furniture made it all the more special.
As a dry hire venue, it also ticked all of the boxes and we loved being able to plan the party and day just how we wanted it. Dave and Steph at The Roost were amazingly helpful right from the beginning and helped our day to go smoothly through all the support in the planning stages.
The amount of space that you get at The Roost is brilliant and we maximised all the unique areas when planning our day.
What an amazing place! We want to do it all again!
